Magnet is OK for Akane, you get nifty tools like trash super, magnet balls (free kotodamas and near fullscreen hitconfirms, teleport mixups), 236236E super is great, and some cool EF combos.. but you can get similar if not better damage using other arcana, and most important is not having a 4GC. That alone is downright frustrating.

flower? you can really lame it out from a distance or force block if you have meter, halt their momentum, and if you mess up in close quarters, you have the fastest burst recovery time, so you can be kinda reckless, in addition to being immune to counterhits.

jumping from the third floor will do that.

i like eudemonia over sjsu, driving aside, the location is great, and the parking situation doesn't seem as bad as people seemed to say. i guess there are some lock in garages, but there's quite a few lots (one of which was literally on the opposite side of the building and cost $7 for 24 hour parking and it was HUGE AND EMPTY) that are open nearby. :\ Or as James just suggested, MGL. The only issue with MGL is the lack of internet.

._. I logged on SRK and read some quite alarming news. According to Kevin, Clocktower's closed down for good, apparently. Shitty situation, I really loved the place, and it was a great venue as well. This week's tournament is still going to go down at Ramnation on Saturday, fyi.

As far as the food situation goes, there's PLENTY of places to eat about 5 minutes away from the venue. If Jay's equipment is up and running, there WILL be a stream for Top 8 of everything, though it'll probably be running Marvel all day outside of that. Due to Marvel involvement, be prepared for MASSIVE amounts of salt and negro rage.

XIII's interpreter is a lot like KOFXI's so it shouldn't really be difficult to do anything, I think it's just getting used to it. :\
