  1. Small tourney, even though it was small the venue was great and I had a lot of fun. I don't mind playing co-TO even though I didn't plan it, gave me something to do and helped move things along more smoohly. First off, shoutout to norcal Tager gauntlet for dodging me in the tournament shoutouts to: Saka for getting things organized, sucks that you're off to the military so fast, good luck with that. see you later on down the line Blk_mage, Solex and Trixx for wearing matching shirts and coming out so damn far! SJ, Dacid, Coopa for hilarious commentary and stupid matches Victa for blowing me up, and then giving me some tips later on Everyone else who I don't have anything specific to say about, the lot of you are really cool and I'm sorry at being bad at remembering names! It would be really nice if more things happened in Sac/Davis, every time I come in the area, everyone is really chill and pleasant to be around. See you guys next time.
  2. i didnt realize this was today, boy that caught me off guard. i'll show up, i guess. only about an hour out. i'll bring ps3 + 360 setups, but they don't have DLC, up to you if you want to use or not.
  3. from experience, the issue with multiple games isnt really having setups, having people to run the games, or anything, the issue is time. time becomes a problem when person who is supposed to be playing a match in Game A is holding up a bracket because he has to play matches in Game B and Game C. of course, this is assuming people are crossing over and entering multiple games, but it does tend to happen a lot. even more of a pain when different setups are in different rooms.
  4. Never said it was bad. I'm personally in favor of getting things started on time and DQing people who don't show and cause delays. Of course, being strict on things is going to make a lot of people annoyed, I'm sure, but those shouldn't be the ones that get catered to anyways.
  5. thinking too logically anyway, don't remove MB or i'll be sad i dunno what the general reception for AH3 is going to be. I still say don't bank on a KOF game to pull numbers in, I can't see the turnout being that much more than MB gets, really.
  6. oh ok, whatever then. hooray for the end of tager gauntlets
  7. how the fuck am I supposed to win matches now?
  8. didn't enter BB or GG, but stick, you do an amazing job as a TO. Good shit on handling everything.
  9. I would be cool with a day other than the 4th cause i'll be out of town then =o
  10. this is the most fair rule ever created, fuck venue fees. make this the standard.
  11. No arcade? That's fine. idk what's stopping you guys from finding someone's house or something to gather at weekly to get grind sessions in. We've been doing it up here in FF for years. :\
  12. i'll go to your place if it means we play 02um
  13. Gonna miss this one. Broke as fuck, no money for gas, toll, parking, anything.
  14. i have a 360, a lagless vga monitor setup, dlc, and a stick (and can easily obtain a second, or even third or fourth) that can be used for NCI if it makes the switch over to 360 oh, and i'll be bringing a CRT + PS2 for melty on the 6th. I guess I could bring a copy of GG too if you guys REALLY NEED IT. I guess.
  15. What if you have 20 gigs of asian girls AND 20 gigs of anime girls?
  16. fuuuuck, im sad i missed this. was gonna show up but was comatose, by the time I woke up it was 5PM and the tourney had ended lol
  17. why would you run R2 Nak that's like a waste of R2 hey qwerty! http://iplaywinner.com/news/2010/10/15/date-set-for-king-of-fighters-2002-unlimited-match-on-xbox-l.html perfect timing for next NCI
  18. so can we all be happy and play video games now
  19. if you're prepping for xiii, 02um is probably the way to go, actually. just that that game is harder than 98 is as far as learning and execution goes... though that's not saying much, kofs not very difficult once you get used to how the game reads inputs.
  20. but... doesn't the 98um port for xbla have vanilla built in? i mean i'm down for gaying people to death with ex-king/ex-yuri, so either is fine.
  21. cj and i are the only "players" for kof 98/um (meaning: we actually put time into that game and play regularly as opposed to xi, which i can name 6-7 people off the top of my head who play) but other people will play if its there. the only unfortunate part regarding that is everyone is lazy and doesnt like to travel for anything, so i wouldnt count on anybody showing up until xiii drops
  22. as far as kof goes, a lot of us still play xi, though everyone's kinda stopped lately in anticipation for xiii. and imo 02um is a better game than 98um though 98 vanilla is a better game than both. also in regards to drama i dont see how bb scene pressured gg/mb players, all they did was get an invite to show up and play, there's just a lot more bb players than there are anybody else so it makes sense for them to take up space + airtime. from what i understand, this whole string of text walls pretty much started from pretty much a question of "why the hostility" being asked, and it just kinda went into trainwreck status from there. but whatever, i think aro said it best, equal respect for everybody would be an ideal thing to have but somehow i think that's too much to ask of people. i am in agreement of stream time being split, though i think the players of said games need to step up and get at the organizers/stream guys to ask for it rather than waiting for it to be handed to them.
  23. hrap series is typically easy to open. just open it up with a small screwdriver and use a socket wrench or needlenose pliers to unscrew the nuts, and it's smooth sailing from there. if its one of the ones where you unscrew from the top, you'll need a hex wrench like on a TE.
