  1. Yeah, I guess. I'm just having difficulty with the TK because the timing window is so small. I can do it about half the time, and I have streaks where I do it in a row and then can't do it for a while. Guess there's nothing to do but practice.
  2. Wow, I had no idea you could simplify the inputs like that! I can do Winger every time now with this stick. And I think you're right, it's easier on the wrist. It is nice for Chroming Rose too. Can TK Bad Moon be simplified in this way somehow?
  3. lol, why is "loser stays" even a thing? My experience with online communication so far has been that it basically does not exist. People don't read the chat box and the players who I've encountered who use mics have been either not speaking English or just making a bunch of noises like grade school children. I was in a room last night where several guys just kept saying "hmmm" over and over and laughing hysterically, until I finally left. It kind of baffled me that people that stupid were playing Guilty Gear.
  4. You can press any attack button midair (and a direction) to do a recovery, although this will only work if there is a gap in the combo being performed. Your most important tool for getting out of combos is your Burst. Make sure you don't waste it, and try to use it right when your opponent has initiated a combo.
  5. Weirdly, the one issue I'm having with this stick is doing 214 motions... For example, it seems very hard to perform Winger when facing right, as I keep only hitting 1 and not going all the way to 4 on the first part of the motion. I guess I just need to get used to the lever.
  6. Does the hair flower that comes out of the ground on 5D include an extension of MIllia's hitbox, or is it separate from her like a projectile attack? I like that idea of using it to clash on oki...
  7. Yeah, I got the PS4 version yesterday and I immediately noticed that the music sounded much louder and clearer.
  8. Himura, I got my Hayabusa yesterday (the Midnight Blue one with the optical lever) and it improved my execution for sure! I was using a bat top with my JLF (and an octo-gate), so that could be part of what was hindering me. I did change my grip style on the Hayabusa because of the ball top. But I think the stick itself is just more accurate, and it definitely requires far less effort to perform motions, especially dashing motions. I think the entire time I was trying to TK Bad Moon on the JLF I only pulled it off one or two times, basically by accident, whereas on the Hayabusa I was immediately able to do it on at least half my attempts, and I finally pulled off the air BnB combo with the IAD that I was having trouble with. The difference I've experienced is huge, and that was only on the first day! I'm going to keep training with this thing and I know I will improve vastly.
  9. Ok, that's actually what I was thinking. I found myself intuitively pinning a lot in the fight, and it became an issue when he was blocking me from retrieving it, much moreso than it usually is.
  10. I got my V4 Midnight Blue Hayabusa and I am in love with it. I think the lever is superior to the JLF and the buttons are nice too. Definitely recommended, especially considering the price.
  11. I got my Midnight Blue Hayabusa and I absolutely love it! The fact that the optical Hayabusa lever has a light spring and no mechanical switches makes air dashing and other fast inputs incredibly smooth and easy to execute. It feels like a dream, exactly how I was hoping it would be. And even more importantly, the lever is without a doubt more accurate than the Sanwa JLF. I play Millia, and on the JLF I was having trouble executing TK Bad Moons and the IAD in her air BnB combo. In fact, I could not TK Bad Moon at all. After using the Hayabusa for about ten minutes I was able to TK Bad Moon on about half of my attempts, and I performed the full IAD combo for the first time. This stick is great. SRK were right when they said the Hayabusa is a superior lever. It's just more accurate and not oversensitive like the JLF, despite having an action that is incredibly light and smooth. And I like the kuro buttons too. They're not hard to press at all, and they're solid enough that I don't get accidental inputs by brushing the side of my hand against them, which was a problem I was having sometimes with the Sanwa buttons. The stick is also plenty heavy enough to feel comfortable in the lap and not shift around. The only downside of the Midnight Blue Hayabusa I can see is the cheap cable door, but I don't think that will ever be a problem as long as you're careful with it. 5 stars for this thing!
  12. I fought a good Zato last night and I realized that he has several good AA options against Millia. It was difficult to start an offense in the air, and Eddie makes it hard to move in on the ground. What are the best offensive options at neutral in this matchup?
  13. Unfortunately I think that driver only works with games that include it in their code, such as Skullgirls. For Xrd you will probably still need a new stick.
  14. j.HS has a pretty good chance of clashing with Vapor Thrust, I think. Haven't tested this though. You can also roll under his projectiles and use Digitalis, or try using Iron Savior for a knockdown.
  15. So for the V4 Hayabusa AmiAmi is charging me 6,265 yen for SAL shipping, which makes the grand total $179.92. I dunno if it's worth it... I do like the way the stick sounds from how Maker and others have described it, but that is a pretty high shipping charge. Still a bit cheaper than most sticks, though... edit: I switched the shipping to EMS and it's only about 7 dollars more. I guess I'm gonna give this thing a shot.
  16. I ordered the silent Midnight Blue version of this, so I can tell you my impressions when it arrives. I'm hoping the silence doesn't throw me off! Kyosuke posted some impressions of it here http://www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1651-the-help-using-a-joystick-thread/?p=876105
  17. Are you guys using square gates and JLF sticks? I still haven't been able to nail the IAD after that j.D, although I can IAD off the ground pretty reliably. I think maybe my octo-gate is making it hard.
  18. It is a mystery. I live in Colorado and I ordered one with SAL shipping, so I'll find out when they tell me.
  19. I have the NA PS3 version of the game and I played against a bunch of Japanese players last night, several of whom were using Leo, and a few of them quit almost immediately after the matches began. I was getting 2 or 3 frames against them but I'm guessing they were probably getting 12. However, one of the dudes playing Leo totally kicked my ass and didn't seem to be having any lag problems, so who knows.
  20. Ohh, okay. That explains why I saw it notated as IAD originally. The concept of doing an IAD in the air is just weird, lol. I will go practice it. Thanks for the tips, guys. heavymetalmixer: yeah I think I saw someone do that in a tournament video. Pretty good crossup technique. What does "2B" stand for?
  21. I don't understand what this means. You double jump AND airdash after the j.D input?
  22. AmiAmi has the Midnight Blue Hayabusa in stock again, for those who are looking: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=GAME-0013027&page=rt_06
  23. For the BnB air combo, how is the air dash performed after the j.D? Is it like a "dash install"? I can't get it to come out.
  24. Thanks. I was told that Millia somehow had less durability than Chipp in this game, so it's nice to see that's not the case.
  25. Other than Guts, do the characters all have the same raw amount of health?
