  1. Welcome to the forums. Take a look around. Ask questions, watch vids. Have fun.
  2. I'm all ears to hearing this. I'm trying to up my Baiken but I'm stuck training scrubs on my dorm floor. Its not fun to beat around a guy using only Sakura for every move.
  3. Just try to avoid avoid getting hit with Chipp. Unlike Jam who can take a beating, Chipp is gonna die within two combos. Master Chipp's teleportation techs. They help all around. And check the CHIPP forum section
  4. I would like Roger to get a buff. :D But yeah, hitting my friends POT with Bridget is like throwing a rock at a tank... no thats Baiken nevermind.
  5. All are entertaiing vids. Watch it if your going to chase Milla from half screen with FB Rin. 214P is good mixup wakeup game, but people will wise up to it. Switch your tactics every here and there. Then again its MI. I play POTs but no MI's so my opinion is so-so. One of your Order-Sol vids is labeled wrong. You have yourself playing as OS but labeled it AN. Its kinda deceiving on youtube. Oh yeah, don't empty charge when OS.
  6. No, POT players never jump. They IAD. And if that doesn't work they POT buster you. :D
  7. I love how the frst post says he's pretty much brand new and is just choosing characters and your using abbreviations he's probably got no idea what it means. Unless he's read the guide at this point.
  8. Then the players are like the triforce and random crests. Their hiding in little dungeons. :/ MD is full of players, but I find it relatively strange I can't find VA players. Playing the CPU is to give me practice in general until convention time rolls around.
  9. North VA. I'd like to have to competition, but uhm, MD is a bit of gas money ya know? I need a bigger TV (have mini-13in) and a chair. I can't play games sitting on a bed cross-legged. It fucks with my concentration. >:l I can't even beat the cpu right now. 5P and 2P are awesome blockstrings. And if you have the dog its even better.
  10. If its used as a running p-stomp oki cross-up, most likely not. But if its a simple p-stomp, they'll probably try to hit you out or airthrow you.
  11. Lots of fuujin's>FB Rin mid-screen to full-screen? I have a bad habit for HS Fujin as well, but don't toss those out mid-screen and think they may hit. If it will connect, use it. If its a guessing game where you hope it will, don't. Jam can just punish you insanely for it. Also, when you land On, go for shitsu. I've just been learning about On's properties as well, and its great for a butterfly set-up. In the first match, at 1:58 you FB shitsu full-screen... maybe slip of the button or something, but that is still a mess up. If you thought Jam was gonna puffball from full-screen, they'd probably choose FB puffball, but I'm not sure if it would go through or not. Also, HS fuujin will cause wallbounce at the corner, and the opponent will bounce above and around you, disallowing the Rin follow up. Know where you are. Careful of 5H when Jam is right next to you. I think her 2D beats out anytime. You did better second round, but careful when throwing out On randomly like that. And those air stomps. Some people on reaction will simply air throw you. After fuujin and using P-follow up, you can airdash or chuck an attack out as you fall so you aren't so vulnerable. But yeah, puffball's really suck don't they? ---------------- The POT match was really interesting, and I couldn't help but laugh when you insta-killed him. On a serious note, butterfly him to death. And if you have the timing down, double shitsu him to death. You can jump but be carefl about it, because he can HPB you or heatfist. Uhm, lawlz for the insta-kill again. XD
  12. At least you guys have a scene. I live in an area where there are hardcore otaku's and no one has fucking heard of this game. T.T How the fuck is that possible? (trying to recruit but everyone likes Halo or something... like SF4... goddamn you SF)
  13. Jam running right next to Johnny and not thinking = Free air combo. Really enjoyed how the Johnny wisened up second time around. Puffballing all day won't win it for ya.

Sorry about that, I wasn't paying very good attention there was I. Those were some things comin' from a guy who uses Zappa after Butterfly boy and Bacon. So, my knowledge of said attack properties is pretty much nothing. XD
  15. Unfortunately I'm starting college this week (GMU). I'll try this stuff out in training mode in the meantime. Maybe I'll find human opponents in the lounging room... I'll definitely try to make time for human practice with MD guys during the summer though. The only practice I usually get out of humans are at conventions. Guess why half my day is spent in the gaming room. I want to meet people. I want to play people... though half of the people I play are scrubs who are worse than me (I simply counterpick with Baiken half the time). You don't get practice picking Baiken against a Slayer and winning. :/ That really happened once.

    Pressure Strings

With sword I usually do this: Run in>2P>5P>2D>236S>follow-up. -----------------------if 236S was teched out early and missed and they jump for me::2Hx2>sword DP....and if their like my scrubby friends then swordswipe for good measure because their gonna rush in. Run in>6K>5S (both hits)>236(FRC)>Swordswipe (wallbounce)>Swordswipe. If I'm aerial coming to the ground I usually j.K>(hit ground)5S/2S/5H. Ghost: Run and curse. If they get close, well, I am for 2P>5K>2D>236K/S=Curse. Actually, I pretty much end everything with 2D with ghosts. XD Run and curse dammit! XD Dog: I fucking suck with the dog... 6P>5D(get closer during neck stretch)>2P>5K>6D>(get a little closer b/c 5K may push em far away at this point)2P>2K>5H>6D>5P2P5K>(run in a little) 6D>2S>6DD. ---Thats the farthest I've gotten in a blockstring before. Though I don't remember if I used any FRC's. Probably did. I was in a panic mode. Try to get your dog behind your opponent. It equals fun when they have to guard two sides and the dog is on them when they try to attack. Raoh: I simply suck with the big man so I pray. Pray that 5S>5H>edguy connect. That or bellows malice. I prefer bellows malice. It just looks cooler.
  17. Ok, so I'm looking for advice on how to get better guys. Really, I really fucking need it. XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TRCB2HHRx4 --- Me being a total scrub vs CPU. (insane LQ). I don't have any form of recording device besides a camera (and flicker is real nasty) and my laptop's webcam... not really two great choices. I already know the issues of playing against a CPU. Don't need to tell me. Unfortunately I'm the only GG player where I live. There are two others but one is going to college (and plays BB anyways) and the other is more commited to playing Arcana Heart (out of state currently). Whoopdeedo. So really, my only human competition is at anime conventions in baltimore. But I live in VA and about to head to college, so I'm not planning on travelling to MD anytime soon to meet people. Seems BlazBlue and GGG is taking off so I'm relatively the only AC player.???? Well, I fight with a pad, have a tendency to IAD back, and have no idea how to buffer a super jump during a combo or to buffer one to escape the corner. God I really suck at Anji's On combos too. Based on the video, what should I come down to first? BnB? Super Jump buffering? On combos? FRC moves?
  18. I thought that this already decided for Axl's advantage. I simply choose Baiken as a secondary pick because my Anji gets raped by any Axl, scrubby or professional. If they know how to space and AA, game fucking over. His dragon punch beats out lots of Anji's normal game, and that damn Axl Bomber loop deals a ton of freaking damage. His options are pretty much limitless against Anji.
  19. I wouldn't hold your hopes high. A lot of people want said thing, but I think the chance is pretty much none.
  20. Does that trick actually work competitively?
  21. Hm. From personal experience, there are some things that are easier to do on a stick on a pad (depends IMO on character choice as well). I-No for example I believe is easier to use on a stick. I can't get her to do what I want with a pad. But, quite honestly, I think its player preference. Doesn't really matter, but thats just me. Oh, sorry. J.P = Jump Punch. J.S = Jump Slash. J.D = Jump Dust. And the like.
  22. You know this makes me wonder, but why doesn't Baiken have her own match-up thread?
  23. Your friend is a button masher yeah? Stop jumping like crazy. Learn to bait his attacks. Thats what your counter system is for. Learn and use your mat. If you launch with tatami (such as :21) please do not start with a j.K.--- Do j.P>j.S>j.P>j.D----or j.P>j.S>j.D ----or j.S>j.P>j.S>j.D---- or j.S>J.P>j.P>j.D. At least, its worked for me doing these things. Look for throw opportunities such as at :41. Perfect time to throw. But be especially careful with your approaches. If you end up playing against Potemkin, Jam, Sol, Ky, its a tough time being as jumpy and offensive as you were playing.
  24. Dude, were you at Otakon playing as Anji?
