  1. Lol I am done re-learning everything but Double Taunt combos, and surprisingly enough, air dashing gimmicks. The ability to hit buttons so much faster is great, but i am so used to piano/stepmania that I am doing things way too early. lol KARA THROWING ROCKSSS :] Yeah DABC >>> ABCD
  2. First day with stick. My muscle memory is not in yet, and I havent been able to do any double taunts/5D~A yet for some reason, so yeah. What an annoying transition. You guys use DABC or ABCD?
  3. I know how you feel Lurch lol. I find it better to focus on the things you straight never see used with other Tao's. Like, I try to 2D people out of the air too often (got addicted to Arakune counter) and still have problems with trying to not poke out of pressure, and its just something that will go away with more offline matches. For you, I would say the main issue is trying to highlight Pounce Super (if the accidental 22C's are any indicator) too much, and using 3C in blockstrings (although I will admit its ok to do sometimes- we cant control our human urge to dial combos) Geez, Tao mirrors are just an urge to D Spam.
  4. I have not tried that combo, but just from common knowledge. Let's say you have Jin, a 2 Drive Loop character. 5B->3C will work for 2 loops. 2A->5B->3C will work for one. If you have 236CC followed by the 2D, there is probably no chance to get that extra loop on people like Noel, Jin, and Tao.
  5. I would just stick to 2D~B combos on Tao and Noel if you could help it. The slightest bump Noel makes on the ground makes followups after j.A j.A just stupid.
  6. I really feel like I want to extend on the (5B -> jC -> jB) x n combo on Tager, but I have no time tonight. Can anyone check if Tager Loop x 4 can some extra stuff slapped on? I know I can go in for an interesting 5B -> Hexa Edge, (the last hit doesn't combo, but if the opponent does not know that, its an extra 1900) but what I want to see is something like (5B -> jC -> jB) x 4 -> 2D~B(RC) -> (5B -> jC -> jB) x n followed by a Hexa Edge ender or yet another 2D~B(RC) to another Tager Loop. Also, I think one Tager Loop linked into 3C can have some interesting Drive Loops, but he has been teching out a lot. Let me know on any fun discoveries there, I want to see some old school GG Potemkin infinite-esque stuff.
  7. I never actually read any of the taunt combos, and was trying to do 236CC in the double taunt variations. Now I can do then yayy. I still cant do the 6C 66 Taunt ones though. ; w;
  8. 41236BBB is actually what I do for all normal weights to keep the timing just right, Sileh got it exactly right there. However, I find it doesn't help me with any lightweights. :I
  9. I have my combos down pat enough for my 1st ranbat on sunday, I just hope I don't scrub out to opposing pressure.
  10. I feel you there. I don't mind when the occasional combo drops on Carl because his health is so pathetic, but when Bang gets out I feel frustrated because he has like 12000 I think. Not that it matters, both matchups are easy. ;P
  11. Yeah, I know they have their respective hitboxes, and how long they can be in the Drive Loop just wanted to see how people usually go about them in their combos- aka personal preference. Like, "Taokaka players, do you go for your Cat Spirit Two combos on Noel/Carl/Tao instead of edited Drive Loops?" "Do you have a specific combo that you do for a nice/easy knockdown with them?" How do you feel about it Sileh? And also, do you personally have any issue with Bang during your 236CC combos? If he has a normal hitbox, I don't see why he should be any different then other characters during this easy combo.
  12. Before I move on to learning Taunt Combos, I wanted to cover some things on specific characters, along with some other things. Bang: Does he have a funny hitbox? Sometimes 8D~6 based loops knock him higher then I expect, and I have to shorten the reps for knockdown. Noel, Carl, and Taokaka: 5b -> 3c -> 5d~6 -> (j.c -> 5d~6) x2 -> j.a -> j.c ->... I have only had j.a -> j.a to work on the lightweights. If there is a timing for it, that would be good to know. Otherwise I will stick to using the Cat Spirit Two combos on them. Rachel: Besides the basic Cat Spirit Two combos, is there anything Rachel Specific? Also, if you could land both Drive Loops and CST combos perfectly (like every single time), which is more burst-safe, and which has better chances for tech traps?
  13. Noel, much like Carl, has an annoying air hitbox. I try to keep things really simple with Neutral Throw combos. B+C -> slight delay a.d jC -> 236B -> 2D~B -> 5B -> 2D~6 -> jC -> 8D~6 -> jC -> 236BBBB for around 2.5k Or even easier... B+C -> a.d jB -> jC -> 8D~6 -> 236BBBB for 2055.
  14. I hope this was not mentioned before, but I got bored in training and found a silly Almost Becoming Two combo. 4B+C -> 236236B -> 236C x N (Until the meter runs out) Does around 2.2k or something... just something really amusing to watch.
  15. In speaking of Sword oki, are the only options 2s/6h or trying to cross up with jHS FRC stuff? How well does 623H respond to reversals?
  16. Since I finally decided to start actually posting on the site, I'll represent 'dat 305. SoBe
  17. Is there any air-to-ground combos for Naked Zappa, in particular with jHS? Frustrating to hit anything while IAD'ing and still getting thrown.
  18. I am chilling here in the 305. A lovely community of 2 I have.
  19. That first link appears to be the first HRAP if I am not mistaken. Not that I would know any fundamental differences between the first two anyways.
  20. So yeah... getting a stick and all. With the HRAP3 being not useful to AC without PCB rewiring, and the HRAP2 being sold out almost everywhere, is there anywhere that still has some good retail sticks around? I heard there was barely any difference between 1/2 for the HRAP, so would that be ok for a starting stick?
  21. That is the old GG Instant Kill.
  22. I second this. Fraps is pretty nice, but is there any better before I commit to buying one? Or is there a better, possibly free verison of a PC capture?
  23. Hmm. I was trying to get the ghost FRC down, but I can only do it out of a combo because his stance doesn't change too much between gatlings. Did anyone find any little thing to help out with the strict timing?
  24. Wow. You guys sure do reply with speed and clarity. I don't see why people say Dustloopers are mean. I really should get my own copy of AC instead of trying to mooch off my friend's copy all the time.
