  1. Yes I have. But still.
  2. What the hell is that. A 6H being able to beat out a super with invincibility frames. Ridiculous.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5z71xxPrwk&feature=channel_page Dunno if I linked this one earlier, but wtf at 3:50 - I do "arrows of redemption" super (my name for it) and Jam beats me out with some palm normal? The hell? Does that have more invincibility of something?
  4. Someone call me? Haven't updated in awhile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pOlJcsgZ90&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztRyc0UV3qY&feature=channel_page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2GiNP4qKFo&feature=channel_page
  5. My first GGXX AC tourney, everyone. double elimination and goddamn I got raped. Up against one of the best players in the USA; "Pimpjuice" Charles in my First match. * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3KPqTDkojs * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbnxuwXNwo0 Ugh, I had a chance to come back in the second match against Pimpjuice but I messed up my hit confirm to icespike this one time and another, I went in without summons when he did this ground teleport which of course was stupid and did not help matters. WTF was I thinking?! The second, more of the same and I didn't know how to get out of testament's pressure. Gack, I did better in the casuals held before/after the tourney, which I am uploading as I write this and will post links to later. Awww man, what horrible luck. Pimpjuice in my first match?! Goddamn...
  6. Whoa. You really like the cr.k, cr.HS ~ Icespike. I mean, I thought that was my trademark. Didn't keep the Ky player from getting hit by it almost everytime though. You seemed flustered and a bit rushed, much like I performed in my recent matches. I'm guessing its because we are both out of the loop and hadn't played in awhile. I suspect we'll drastically fix a lot of things after spending some time in practice mode.
  7. Haha, I knew I was missing something...I was like, "I've seen this dude's dizzy before. How come I can't remember exactly where/who's?!" Good matches man. Looking at your vids makes me realize other stuff I could stand to do like being more calm and the strategic setting of bubbles in mid-air. Also you used a few oki patterns I am not familiar with.
  8. Dizzy's Gamma Ray and Instant Kill: Eat it Bitches.
  9. Thanks! Hey, I have a question - you said 5p can destroy Test's nets? So you can actually get rid of those things before they cause problems?
  10. I was kidding. Calm down. I'm not using you as an excuse so hold your horses. This is by far not the only fighter I dedicate myself to, and the GGXX scene here is small at best. Its difficult to hold the game down for a period because I have to initiate people to play it and even then, the good players are rare. Thanks for understanding. Hope to have more vids uploaded soon and I'm going to work on stuff tonight after homework is taken care of. Hopefully I get that Baiken, Testament player over here this weekend.
  11. My hit confirm is pretty decent, that's me hesitating because I want to do 2HS, but I know it will whiff, and if I whiff it I know Stag.S will ride my ass about it relentlessly I know 2D is more reliable for max range cr.k but I keep forgetting to use it.
  12. I didn't know about that giving me frame advantage. I'm not that familar with the match-up so anymore strats you guys could point out is awesome. My pressure is sucking even more because I after I took in you guy's comment's from last time I started recording a bunch oki, bubble loop options, etc. in a little Black Journal I carry around and review for fighting games (hence the black book) but since I didn't have anyone to play it I put down the game again, not to mention I left it at home. I am going to work on some refinement today. I DID NOT mean to use cr.S in combos. I never do that, unless very, very close. I know that I never tried to do it on purpose in these matches recorded; I guess I meant to do a far S or something. Yeah I need to FRC more. Funny thing is I can do the icespike FRC now, but I keep forgetting to do these things in the heat of battle. I believe I need to condition myself to use it in habbit more. I was thinking about the dust too, although I did not think of using it after a close. S. Keep the comments coming guys.
  13. Alright! I finally got my crew together this semester and its time for us to get on polishing our GG game. Here's our first matches of the new year: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Ergeniz&view=videos Goddamn it, I wish I'd had my friends a bit sooner when I had my black book patterns still fresh in my mind, but I don't think I did too badly. Besides everyone else is rusty too, so its fair (kinda). At least I avoided making many of the mistakes you guys pointed out earlier although there's still some crap there. And Stag.S: I didn't screw up on cr.k ~ cr. HS ~ Icespike so much this time. So don't attack me.
  14. I like using 6P to punish Mappas, myself.
  15. The 6HS thing is best when you have severe frame advantage, under oki or as a meaty. Don't tell me you guys were trying to use it under neutral circumstances...
  16. Be serious, now. :8/: Here's the quote I was referring to: Try to find Kazuki, HH. Do not listen to people who tell you to learn from Makoto. Makoto is a exhibitionist, he does fancy and pretty to look at stuff, but in actual tournaments against high level players he crumbles and loses ALL the time (he has never entered a quarter or semi finals, I don't think I've ever seen him even qualify in the last 3 years) Doesn't sound god-like to me.
  17. Yeah, baiting VV with icespike during oki was mentioned in another thread, I believe and it is not all that risky providing you cover up gaps in your pressure. Still, I'd never used it for block damage before. I'm guessing that Venom player had no tension and/or was extremely low on health? I'd like to hear more comments on the comment I quoted earlier about Makoto and how he is not exactly the best example for us Dizzy players.
  18. So, you're here...but where is Bizzaro??
  19. Ah, I thought you were in America. Your location info was probably on your youtube account, but I must have overlooked it. Regarding my corner oki and its gaps, funny you should mention that; the Dizzy player I was talking to on youtube was discussing the same thing with me. We were talking about ways to increase the effectiveness of our oki and swapped oki strategies. Trying to get some work done so I can feel at ease and go into practice mode today.
  20. Dammit, so he has abandoned us? Nehle, come back! I finally can post vids, and you're not around?!
  21. Excelence, you bastard, I sent you a youtube request and you never accepted. I'm mad. And Nehle nor Bizzaro never show their faces around here anymore.
  22. Alright. Its just that in my recent vids, there has been much less 2HS usage and whiffing - its much better. I've zoned better, my corner oki is more comfortable, etc. I airdash recklessly a bit, but there's somewhat more control. It seemed as if you didn't notice the general improvement made, there. Strange you have class on Thanksgiving. No, I have no problem accepting criticism, that's why I post my vids here. I don't think I'm being harsh; I really do think my Dizzy sucks more than anyone I've seen. But again, that's why I'm here at Dustloop. Oh, one more thing that's not directed at anyone - I was speaking with a Dizzy player on youtube (dunno if he is a member here or not) and he said this in one of our conversations: Try to find Kazuki, HH. Do not listen to people who tell you to learn from Makoto. Makoto is a exhibitionist, he does fancy and pretty to look at stuff, but in actual tournaments against high level players he crumbles and loses ALL the time (he has never entered a quarter or semi finals, I don't think I've ever seen him even qualify in the last 3 years) I've never been a big fan of Makoto or anything; I just play the way I feel is best, but this is very interesting - I'd like some comments on this.
  23. Maybe it was because you were up against people like Jam and Testament, who can do well in CC and have high damage output, but you always seem to take the defensive option and are content to remain patient until you can set up a KD and do oki. You never seem "jumpy" like me. You usually let the enemy come to you, instead of the other way around. I guess that's what I meant. Finally, like you said, you love to poke and let people make mistakes while I would rather do blockstrings and footwork rather than poke. Also, I punish mistakes, but its while "things are going on" (dunno how to word it better) rather than wait for them to happen. Of course, my style probably explains why I suck so hard, but....
  24. Stag S. I think you are a bit stuck on my first batch of vids and mistakes I made that you somewhat missed the point of my post. Yes, I whiffed 2HS. I was reckless. I didn't use the holy power of 2D. Yes, I am officially The-Worst-Dizzy-Player-Ever. I suck at life and this game. I already know that. But don't worry so much on that. My point/query was after fixing these, remembering to dry summon more and being less reckless in my rushdown, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to still keep my general mindset and not be as defense oriented as you, or say zaeris. I just think I can still be more aggressive while still fixing the problems you fellows have layed out for me.
  25. Hmm, this is directed at no one in particular but when I see many dizzies posted on here, I'm impressed by the set-ups, patience, and general ability to wall pressure, as well as having that eye to capitalize on mistakes. But, it seems too "tame", or stationary to me. Now I'm not saying I wish to be like Mokoto or something, but per Kurokun's comments about my playstyle I don't like being defensive. Now this probably isn't a good thing for a Dizzy player (in fact, I'm pretty sure its not) and after reading the input for my matches I felt pretty down and kept thinking, "Man, I suck so hard...". But I think there's another side to the coin - when I see many of our opponents, their general mindset is, "she's a zoning character, as long she has no summons we can rush her ass down" or "She'll run away all day". The way I play is to counteract this - if I let people think I'm running away/blocking 24/7 or I'm defenseless without assists, they'll walk all over me. This is not to say I like to soak up damage - in fact, I think I'm fairly decent at blocking. "You appear to favor fighting at mid range or closer, while switching between semi defensive/offensive postures, and without the assistance from summons." After thinking about this, I think maybe this can be considered a strength. Now, I still need to remember to dry summon more, and not be as reckless, but I think if I can fix all the things you guys are telling and refine my current mindset this could turn out to be pretty advantageous. Agree? Disagree?
