Someone once told me a good fundamental was to not do random super/whiffed/laggy moves. Or to sum that up: don't do stupid shit. Throws in BB throw me off because they're so slow. If they were faster I'd be able to read them better. lol Although recently I've been learning to break them on reaction.
-
Oh, I thought they would be more physical concepts than abstract intuition. Could you give me some examples from BB? I should come for Thursday, too. lol I didn't know you were leaving for HK. (I should probably read the wave more) Fridays are usually bad for me, too because I have to get up so early for Saturday.
-
Can someone list for me what the fundamentals are? I keep hearing this term but, I'm not clear on what exactly it refers to.
-
Online makes me rage. Especially when it fucks up my inputs/doesn't read it as soon as I input it. With good connections it's good practice though. Like level 3 or 4. Anything less is just bullshit. But even then there's still a little bit of lag so it's never a replacement to offline play.
-
Oh my god, it's More_Swords. I've played you!
-
That's still pretty good though. He can just fill it with popular games that people will play, then that cab will almost always be used.
-
It looks like all the games are just right there, at any cab (stored either on the cab, on the server, or wherever), and because of its online functionality it makes updated games and new games more easily available than if you had to buy a whole new board and replace it in the cab. Like, if all of lovegety's cabs had every single game that lovegety has and all you have to do is pick a cab and play your game. Pay per play is usually 100¥ in Japan (1.21$ CAD), so if every cab has almost every game available on Taito's servers, then that means every single cab will be used; instead of old-style cabs, that were dedicated to a single game, that would be unused if the game on it was unpopular. Sounds like an improvement to me. It's just that it only seems to work in Japan. lol There just isn't enough demand in North America to import this on a large scale. Arcades are dying here because of consoles (and PCs?), so it would just be a big disaster if they tried to bring it over here through local distributors. The only way I think they'd be able to profit from bringing the NESiCA system over is if they partnered with individual arcade owners to set up a system in specific locations where arcades get a regular gathering of people, like Lovegety. Even then it's still probably pretty iffy since the arcade scenes aren't as large here as they are in Japan, but maybe with the whole "play any game on any cab" system it'll probably work out since we could potentially be running like 3-5 BBCS cabs at Lovegety at a time. lol Of course, that's being really optimistic and assumes everything works out and Lovegety gets more than a single NESiCA cab.

What is Nesica? How does it work exactly?

I got tired of them nerfing the announcer so much that I went and recorded my own set of how the announcer should sound like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYCj-xspMV0 Get at me.

Yeah, I used to come regularly, but then I stopped coming as often. I'm not very consistent when it comes to lovegety, but I've been playing BB for a while now.

I'm busy all day saturday so there's no way I can do anything friday night or saturday. I'm mostly free during the week.
-
Anyone going to gety tonight? I want to come back out but Fridays are no good for me because I have work saturday morning.
-
Damn straight.

Sigh... Technically, they are win/loss ratios. Look at the first post. In fact, I think now would be a good time to point everyone in the direction of the bottom of the first post where I listed a FAQ for most of these questions when I first made this thread. This not a tier list. I repeat: NOT A TIER LIST It's a match-up chart. Character placement doesn't matter, MATCH-UPS DO! Worry more about whether your character has decent match-ups or not. It's been said time and time again the format of how this chart works.
-
I was wondering when this thread would be revived again. Check the first post for the latest chart. I don't use the ones I use because I feel like it. If you go into "OPTION" and select "Ranking" a bunch of scores will show up. At the very end there's a match-up chart for that specific console and it lists all the characters' abbreviations. Image of the in-game chart http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa108/worldjem7/Image115.jpg Close up of the abbregiations (in case it's hard to see) http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa108/worldjem7/Image113.jpg This is what I'm basing my abbreviations on. If anything, this should be standard. Also, I changed the rating system I used. It now merely takes the average of all of a character's match-ups not including the mirror. I felt this was a more accurate way to portray character power than my old system.
-
So, any ideas on how to do this match-up? I felt like I couldn't do anything. Then again, I've only started playing Ragna, but this thread wasn't made anyway. Any ideas?

Oct 16? Still a saturday, still can't go.
-
I work saturday afternoons. Can't go do the tourney.

Stickbug, if you're serious on updating the chart, you should give me the numbers, or let me in on the discussion (not necessarily take my input) so I can update the chart on my end. You guys should also keep a record of your reasoning behind character match-ups in a similar way Spirit Juice did for the older version.
-
No of course, I'd want to get a representative for each character or something to that effect (maybe someone knows more than one character).
-
Would people here feel uncomfortable or opposed to having knowledgeable dustloop members come together and discuss and make the match-ups for this match-up chart to update it?
-
In case anyone's curious as to what stickbug's chart looks like when I do it. Did this for fun because I like using Excel. NOT going to update the first post until I get sources; assuming it's just a troll until I do. Switched Litchi and Bang because she has more match-ups in her favour, but otherwise, this version is merely cosmetically different.

What's the EVO monitor? Where can I get one?
