Any videos showing how to fight Tager with Lambda?
-
Try not to look at the placements themselves. Each character's placement is based on their match-ups (hence this being a match-up chart). If you're going to dispute placement, it only makes sense to look at their match-ups first. If a character should be higher, then they should have better match-ups. This isn't a tier list.

T11: Canadian Fighting Game Championships - Sept 3rd-5th

Does Mu count as DLC? -
you can cancel 214B and 214C with Barrier as well as any move.
-
I can't seem to find out how to get away from her. Her block strings seem so safe. How do you fight her?
-
her 3C goes under his 5D chain. What pokes? lol She can get close so easily on Hazama's regular strategy that he uses on everyone. He has to be in the air for his snakes to work properly.
-
Makoto's Parry can be cancelled into any move though. So I don't see how you could bait it. It's not like there's some sort of vulnerability on it. The parry itself blocks when active, then you just hold back if they have a meaty out.

Very silly match-up. 3C goes under his snakes. Discuss.

K, filefront is fixed. My mirror is working again. http://www.filefront.com/16939843/bbcs_display_complete.7z/

Filefront did something and my link died. You should remove it.
-
Well, obviously I'm not posting that, Spirit Juice. I was just showing people I'm not dead.

Getting ready for new characters. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa108/worldjem7/bbcsmatchup3a.png I'm guessing the time new match-up data will be ready is when the Japanese are ready to give it. Tweaked the first post a bit.

I provided another mirror. http://www.filefront.com/16939843/bbcs_display_complete.7z/ Is there a way (not necessarily using this program) to view individual moves with all its frames? Like maybe a debug mode of BBCS where you can go frame by frame or something? Kurushii: in this "Why is their other characters in X characters data?" you should use "there" instead of "their."

I love the people in this thread. So smart and understanding. And a big thanks to Spirit Juice for that analysis. I'll post links to it on the first post. Also, if match-ups change for when the console version comes out, I'll either just update the current chart or I'll make a different one for the console version. I'm not sure which I should do.

I don't see how it's close to baseless when it's within the realm of those players' views. I know that they know, so I deduce numbers from that. I don't know every match-up and I don't try to claim I know every match-up, so I try to keep the match-ups as close to what those players thought as possible. I don't think my method is entirely ineffective because the data is sound. Besides, I only did it so that everything would equalize, that's the entire point of why I did it. If Arcadia made a chart with matching ratios, then I'd post that without my own input. Once I post it, it's just a matter of letting me know if I'm wrong because even if I get some right, I'm definitely going to get some wrong.

Technically, all the match-ups, including the original list, are decided arbitrarily (subject to individual will or judgment without restriction) because the players that made the Arcadia chart are human too, so I don't see how calling my decisions "arbitrary" is a valid argument. Maybe if I was just picking random match-ups to make better or worse with no thought towards them, then it might be considered arbitrary (capricious; unreasonable; unsupported), which I don't think I am being. I apologize if I seem a bit arrogant about it, but I've had way too much experience with people calling me "arbitrary" on smashboards. They just love to throw that word around like crazy when things don't go their way concerning match-ups. I understand why you're questioning me though. I wouldn't want someone to be BS'ing me about this either. I gave another example towards my thought process on post #9 if you haven't already seen it.

The chart you're talking about is called "[NORMALIZADA]" and subsequently, " [NORMALIZADA EM ORDEM]". I ignored these charts completely because it's a very lazy way to try and equalize the numbers to add up to 100%. It also makes the numbers unnaturally different from what the players are stating, which doesn't help me when I'm trying to interpret the players' reasoning behind their match-ups. So, I find it kind of defeats the purpose of using that extra decimal place because the entire format becomes different from what the players are stating. Not to mention charts don't need to have that much accuracy because frankly, it's almost moot to argue to that degree. The reason I put Jin at 60-40 vs Rachel and Noel at 55-45 against Rachel is because Jin has been rated higher, suggesting he would have better tools to fight Rachel than Noel, which would lead me to conclude that Jin would have a better match-up vs Rachel than Noel.

Here: http://guiltygearbr.invisionplus.net/?mforum=guiltygearbr&showtopic=916&st=30entry16615 It won't match though, for two reasons: The match-ups in Arcadia don't match to start with (ex.: for Rachel it says she's even with Hakumen but for Hakumen it says it's 60-40 in his favour). I interpreted the disagreements to find the most likely ratio, which is almost always slightly different than what Arcadia's chart says.

It could just be how I worked out the match-ups. In Arcadia's list, they ask top players about their characters, but don't require them to agree with each other. I just tried my best to think about why there would be disagreements and in what direction it should lean. For example, hypothetically, let's say Jin vs Tsubaki. The Jin player thinks they have the 55 and the Tsubaki thinks they have the 55, so I would just put the match-up as even because both players feel good about the match-up. Another example, hypothetically, let's say Tager vs Ragna. The Tager player thinks it's 35-65 and the Ragna player thinks it's only 60-40. If the Ragna player really feels they're having some trouble with Tager then it's more likely that the match-up is better for Tager than worse because Ragna is the better character in general. So, I might put it as 60-40 instead of 65-35 in Ragna's Favour. The match-ups don't necessarily show how well people can play each character. Jin could very well be the worse character compared to Tsubaki, but maybe because Jin has a larger following and Tsubaki is a new character, the Jin players could probably have an easier time right now. Then again, the difference is extremely slight. Jin, Tsubaki, and Arakune are almost completely even, so it could go either way.

THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL CHART. THIS IS A CHART BY THE COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING. The purpose of this thread is to discuss BB:CS match-ups in a mature manner so as to fill out a chart with accurate ratios for the benefit of the community. I gathered information from the closest thing to a prior match-up chart (arcadia's magazine chart) and tried to interpret the disagreements as best as I could. BUT! That doesn't mean my views are correct, nor does it mean Arcadia is entirely correct, either, which is why I bring this chart to you, the community. I request any and all knowledgeable players to help clear up misunderstandings and correct incorrect match-ups. You don't have to be good at the game to be knowledgeable, but more experienced players are more likely to be knowledgeable than less experienced players. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Version 1.01 16 Characters Match-Up Chart - 2010.11.02 The following chart counts how many kinds of match-ups each character has. This is used to break ties. T.G.M = Total Good Match-Ups T.E.M. = Total Even Match-Ups T.B.M. = Total Bad Match-Ups "Even" means "all even match-ups not including the mirror." Distribution Chart - 2010.11.02 Previous Match-Up Charts for older versions BlazBlue: Continuum Shift v1.00 Match-up Chart BlazBlue: Continuum Shift v1.00 Distribution Chart Character Analysis for BBCS v1.00 Chart by Spirit Juice Part 1, Part 2 BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Match-up and Distribution Chart. The rest of this post will act like a FAQ as I'm fairly certain most people on DL know what a match-up chart means. Each match-up is determined by weighing each character's abilities and what they can do to each other assuming the two players are of equal skill level at high level play. This means that we assume that both players know of every single match-up and play each match-up in the most optimal way to win. The match-ups shown are when two characters play 10 rounds against each other to see how many games each character would win. The number is multiplied by 10 to eliminate decimals (so 6.5-3.5 would be 65-35). The Rating system has been changed. The rating is now determined by the average of all of a character's match-ups not including the mirror match. Groups of characters on this chart are divided by uncommon large differences between two adjacent characters. This number can change from chart to chart, but will always be apparent. This is merely to make it easier to read the chart. The "Difference" column shows the difference between the character beside the number and the character above the number. Bang has no one above him so he has no difference. How to read the chart: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showpost.php?p=458841&postcount=66 Feel free to PM me if you have any questions not answered on this post. Also, feel free to PM me a message with your MSN or Skype if you want to discuss anything in real-time.

That's right. Match-up charts don't include a person's ability to overcome disadvantages and obstacles, it only displays what those disadvantages and obstacles are. Mechanically speaking, Tager is the worst character in BBCT because other characters just have better tools than him to fight. This doesn't mean Tager himself is a bad character, he's only the worst relative to the other characters; nor does this mean that a person couldn't use Tager to win with, it's just harder than if you used a better character.

The chart on this thread is for BBCT. It's pretty solid it seems, so if you were looking for a BBCT match-up chart, the one here is still good to use. For BBCS, I've seen that thread that dehumanizer posted, and I've written up another chart using it as a base. I'm not sure if I should make a new thread or if I should just add it to this thread.
