I slept in so late I was like "fuck, it's already 3" and didn't feel up to going out. Sorry I didn't make it for the second day. Shoutouts to nekoneko and his friend whose gamertag I don't know Shoutouts to Mr.Mortified for subway and his crazy busy life Shoutouts to that MTL hazama for beating me round 1 Shoutouts to Julien and his rachel for knocking me out Shoutouts to Leo raping my ass with Valk. Damn that 6-4 matchup. I want a rematch! Shoutouts to everyone else I played that I can't remember right now. Tournament was awesome. I was glad to come out. Hopefully I'll meet some of the Toronto people at other gatherings, and hopefully I'll see Montreal at another tournament.

Your Tager is ridiculous, no wonder you made it to the finals in that last tournament. For some reason I thought Tager's 6A was full body guard point so whenever you did it I was like "shit, he's pulling me in, what do I do?" but then I looked in the match-up thread for tager, so I'll be a bit more ready for you. I look forward to casuals with you at T12 too. GGs

Shit, Brice, I just noticed you have PSN, add me damn it. Let's play right now.

I'll break it down, no google translate used: "yo si a srai dememe c ma waifu en tabarnak." Yo = yo si = if a = used here is omitting the "il" as the full phrase would be "yo si il y a" which means "yo if it is" srai = ??? dememe = 2 words put together "de meme" meaning "of the same." c = the way the letter C is pronounced in french sounds the same as c'est which means "it is." ma = my waifu = waifu en = in tabarnak = a swear word in french, usually connotative to "dammit" or "for fuck's sake" or in this case it looks more like it means "hell." That's why I came out with what I said earlier. The closest thing I could think "srai" means is that it's a contraction of "c'est vrai" which means "it's true" so the first bit would be "yo if it's true." and because you replied to the noel comment that's what you're implying. Nowhere did you mention makoto so how am I supposed to know she's your waifu? So if the phrase doesn't mean: "Yo if it's true, all the same, she's my wife, dammit." I'll never know what it means until you tell me. I don't live in Quebec, but I have enough family from Montreal to know how fucked up the slang is. Fuck I hate french. lol ___________________________________ Shit, I didn't know Leo hosted, where do you host? I'm probably going to go to A&C World today, but I have to leave at like 6 for something I want to do this evening.
-
"If she has them, all the same she's still my waifu, dammit." Something along those lines. Also, I thought A&C world opened at 3p every day. Is it really open at noon on Sunday?

Can't go Sat, working. Might go sun if awake.

Yeah that level 4 connection was awesome. lol It's too bad my stick stopped working randomly. I bought a new Sanwa joystick but the connector came off so I couldn't input down. And now I think the wire connecting to the PS3 is starting to get messed up because it sometimes doesn't read it as being plugged in. Add me on PSN we should play again some time.

He wasn't even A&C staff (at least he didn't look like staff), he just wanted us off because "there are a lot of people lined up to play SSF4." The blazblue setup we had was the only one and there were 3 other SSF4 setups and he wanted us off to make a fourth. After his first, failed, attempt he came back with a member of the A&C staff (even though he didn't really do anything, just supervise I guess?) and that's when XDest kind of lost it and ended up leaving. By this time XDest and I were the only two people on BB so when he left that kind of killed it for me. I stayed for a bit because he played a few matches with me, but it quickly got stale so I left after like 2 sets. If XDest stayed, there is no way I would ever have let that setup go until we were done, but it was like 7p by the time all this happened so I don't know how much longer we would have stayed. Anyway, GGs to XDest, Linear, and Enrovaku.

So I was at A&C World today. I know Wednesday is the day to go but I needed to reset my sleep cycle and checking the place out seemed like it would keep me busy long enough to sleep in the evening. It was pretty dead. lol When I got there they didn't have BBCS (luckily I brought my own) then it was me on BBCS, one guy on 3S, one guy on SSF4, and another on MvC3 each doing training mode/Arcade Mode. There were a couple people playing Smash bros melee and a couple others playing Japanese mario party 2. Who's going tomorrow? I'm going.

Does anyone live near Birchmount-Danforth area? Or southern scarborough in general?

Just take the training mode everyone has offline, put it online. It could be in the form of a special room or maybe when you're in training mode there's an option that lets the person in the lobby join in on your training. The rest I would want to say has already been said by Delrian and Mightfo. It would just be a very useful and appreciated mode for online, especially since not everyone has access to local players that can come over whenever and try stuff, and to be able to control the environment instead of trying to simulate control in a Versus match. One of the reasons for it would not be to practice combos like you would if you were alone, but maybe to practice implementing the combos you know so they come out more naturally/instinctively.

ASW needs to give us Online Training Mode.

If you're talking to me, your comments are misplaced because I wasn't at that tournament, nor was I the one commentating. I just thought it was good that they mentioned helpful information outside of what's happening in the game.
-
On the topic of good commentating, I think these videos have pretty decent commentating. They give good insight on what's going on, albeit not all the time, but it's still entertaining as well as informative. These are taken from a recent Toronto tournament. How do you punish that overhead 214D~A?

I'm never spelling it "In-Birth." アンダーナイト インヴァース is pronounced "Undernight Inverse" It does look really cool though.

Didn't Pmall arcade get taken over by Pladium? I think that Pmall arcade is just so old and well-known, that enough people go there so it won't die. Also, Pmall is huge, so there's probably more people going to it in a regular day than at gety.
-
Why was that picture not posted sooner? Tsubaki and Noel look great. Also, I think part of the gety problem is its location along with the consoles. It's all the way the fuck up north near Richmond Hill, and it seems like the FG communities are all spread out around that area East-south-west. So, no one wants to travel all the way to gety for a single cab with their game on it and wait in line for hours just to play a 2 minute match with someone when they can just go to someone's house or a venue and have like 10 setups of the same game that they want to play. And if there is no lineup, then that means there's no one to play with, which keeps them away from it anyway. I don't think people really care about getting better as much as they care about getting to play (for free, no less). If they can play, they can be scrubs and just spam the same move over and over again and lose, but at least they get to play and play different people and pretend to get better (or just get better really really slowly). But no, it's all the way the hell up north between highway 7 and highway 407, near an airport, in an asian restaurant and businessy area. Sure he has all those asians going in there already, playing the horse game, music and driving games in the back, and the BB/GG community, but if he's losing money, it doesn't matter who's going to lovegety, he's still losing money because there's not enough demand. There would probably be a much higher regular turnout if it was in a more population dense area such as: Downtown Toronto Near a college/university (better if there are multiple) Inside/near a big mall (unlike the dinky mall its in right now) If it was in a place like these it would be a lot better because people would see it on their way to or from wherever they're going and there's a higher chance that new people would come and that more people would know about it. But arcades in general are dying so I don't even know how good that would be. It might be enough just to keep lovegety running, but for now, it looks like lovegety is dying.

That vid was like "lol mindgames" to the power of 10. I can't believe how well they pulled that off. lol
