I'll just leave this here... 6P c.S 5HS 2D 236S RC 214S IAD jHS 236P (laser hits + pops bubble) 6HS 421HS or (brief pause) 421S (meaty oki, can summon fish as they block/get hit) So far confirmed on Sol & Elphelt (209 damage). Beginning can be adjusted as spacing demands. Edit: 421HS xx 214P at the end will combo into the first bite of the fish if the opponent doesn't block the spike, but they get to tech afterward if you're not quick to convert.

Have not looked at her move data since I'm done with Xrd until further notice, but FB Puffball, the bullshit properties on AC 6HS, or her old throw FRC went a long way in making people love/hate her. Given that Xrd has been making characters closer to their #R iterations, she likely doesn't have the stupid shit from AC, and the new RC system screws her throw FRC. Not looking as good as previous iterations doesn't mean she can't be good in the present one. Look at Zato; Xrd incarnation is shit compared to #R or AC, but he's still really good.

That list was for crouching. 1-hit should be possible on all characters standing, but typically requires wider spacing for the fatties which created its own set of problems (spacing made it look pretty obvious, and crouch blocking at that spacing would make the jH whiff, so no unblockable into 1-hit). I was never able to get it to connect on crouching Faust (but could pull it off on standing), but I won't claim to have done strenuous testing; there might be a pixel-perfect spacing where it'll work, but I couldn't find it.
  7. In hindsight, PCC is this weekend, and it probably took everyone's soul. This is looking to be a minimal attendance meetup; the only other people who've expressed interest so far are myself, Tempered, and H-F. Still down?

I would expect that UAT is better for drawing in people unless you're hoping to tap SRK and the other FG communities that typically avoid airdashers (though given what I've heard of entrants, that hasn't been happening). No venue fee would make it more receptive to anyone who might want to come check out the games, and being able to run what we want instead of leaving as soon as GG is done provides more room for exposure to a larger number of games, which leads to more opportunities for people to find something they like, so that ideally they come back and maybe end up giving other things a try. In theory. The only question is one of getting word out to potential new players, but that's what this thread, FB, word of mouth, etc. are for. If people really want to drop a little money to spice things up a bit, then we can still do that unless UAT has a problem with that kind of thing. I suspect the main deterrent for everyone is more how casual-unfriendly TGZ is on ranbat days with how you only have a small window of time before anything starts to get games in before everything is consumed by tournies, most of which don't have much draw for most of the anime fightah crowd. But maybe that's just me.
  9. Pretty much this. I'm not against costs, but if I'm going to pay to play games, I'd rather it be more than mostly local players, and to realistically be able to play more than a handful of matches. It also doesn't help that GG was given the earliest timeslot, which means that I'm either at work or still sleeping around the time I'd need to leave if I wanted to make it in time to sign up (let alone get a decent number of casual games in). Between waking up earlier than I'd like on a day off to pay for a few games before going to UAT and (wait for it) playing more games for free with the possibility of longer sets, or not waking up earlier than I'd like and getting almost the same amount of games in anyway, it's not even really a question which I'd choose. Especially since the game in question is one I have mixed feelings about. Frankly, I don't see money as being a particularly big motivator to learn a game. If I really want to learn a game, I'll put the the time into it regardless of potential payout (see: F/UC, which was already dead by the time I was introduced to it). There just hasn't been a game that's been able to hold my attention since F/UC, MBAA(CC), and GGAC(+R).

  11. Can't say not having Testament isn't part of it, but most of my issues come from Xrd's RC mechanics; YRC in particular (no surprise there), and 1.1 doesn't even begin to address my issues with it.

They reverted the significant nerfs from the location tests (additional recovery when Eddie is killed, BtL YRC), so all he really lost was a bit of damage and the setups for chaining unblockables that nobody used. He's largely unchanged, so there's no reason to expect him to have become noticeably worse.

From there you have enough time to 5/2B (pop) 2C, run a quick iad mixup, and still have scan up for: high/low 5AA 5B 5C(2) 22B delay 2A+B 236A 5C(1) 236C 5AA 2A+B (2A+C j.B to have meaty pops for oki) For similar damage, meterless + oki However, if you want to burn meter for more damage (doesn't work w/low starter) j.A/B 5AA 5B 2C(2) 22B 2A+B 214A 5C(1) 236C 5AAA 214A 236236B Gets you around 4.5k; builds 45 meter, so you don't even need to have had much going in. Drawback is you don't have anything set for oki, but that doesn't matter if it kills.
