I think Pat had to do the same thing. My AI course was mostly just pathing algorithms, lisp, and trying to figure out wtf the chinese professor was trying to say.

I remember Tribes 2 had too many scripts. Peeps on HV were amazed when they found out I played totally scriptless. There needs to be an RTS that allows for programmable AI, such that you could have AI vs. AI battles online and a ladder system based on who has made the best bot. It could also give online fights a John Henry sort of allure, in that being the best at the game would entail you beating both human players, and opponents designed by players.

Either the strangest adbot ever, or the best troll ever. Anyway, I ended up buying a nerf longstrike, because apparently Toys R Us doesn't sell any realistic looking guns anymore. I'm modding it a bit so it looks less toy-ish, and it still should fit the whole "post-apocalyptic" feel when I'm done, but it won't be as near-future as I would have wanted. On the plus side, I will be able to shoot drunk people, since nerf darts are considered less-than-lethal in gun-cowardly Maryland.

Don't worry, I'll be at a private party. Plus, if I was going to wear the gun while giving out candy, that's technically legal since I wouldn't be leaving my house. BTW, I always thought about how the red caps on toy guns are used to designate them as toys, so kids don't get killed by police as much. Why hasn't some criminal just put a red cap on a real gun, or just paint about an inch from the muzzle in bright red/orange, and just surprise some hapless individual, cop or otherwise?

Anyone know if there's a waiting period in MD for long guns? I'm thinking about getting a garand as part of my halloween costume, and actually having something that fires .30-06 seems like a good idea in the long term.

So, the way I see it, for the new GG CCB/FPS game works like this. You buy cards, and then you insert the cards into slots in the cab to give you abilities, right? So not only do you have to build a deck to be any good, you have to pay 100 yen each time you play, and the cab might (read: will) eat your cards. This sounds like the most hardcore evil game platform in history.
