  1. I was not trying to diss or belittle any character in series. And Sol indeed plays a large part in GG story (why wouldn't he, being an alter-ego of GG lead designer =)). But personally I think that approach 'Guilty Gear = Sol, end of discussion' belittles carefully crafted GG plot. After all, there is much more about 'guilty' than about 'gear' in GG story. And that is exactly why I was trying to show other possible interpretations of series title.
  2. "Guilty" gear is a recurring theme of series and can be applied to many characters. Justice, who was the one guilty of massive destruction. Testament, who set her free. Sol, who is both a prototype Gear and a scientist that first researched Gears together with Ano Otoko and Aria. Dizzy, who was labeled as guilty and had a bounty put after her head. Really, mates, discussing and asking questions is totally fine, but wouldn't it be better to read some basic FAQs first? There is one at gg.ru (http://www.guiltygear.ru/ggworld.php?lang=en§=plot, although a bit outdated), and Blade has as much in-depth info at his page (and mirrored at http://www.guiltygear.ru/download.php) as you can handle =)
  3. Oh well. Should have posted here earlier. No throw: 5 frames after block stun 6 frames after hit stun 7 frames after wake up
  4. When you play people offline and they are complaining about lag: they are complaining about input lag + video processing (mostly TV processing + possibly HDMI issues, depends) lag. And TV lag is likely to be can be much worse than input lag... if TV was chosen poorly.
  5. Thanks, Teyah! Good to see these things sorted and checked in efficient manner ) Sorry, I don't quite get what you've meant by quoting this, can you please elaborate? I mean, you check Demul running arcade game image, find that it has 2 frame input lag (likely introduced by emulator) - and then we off to Elvenshadow comparing Arcade version to PS2 version... but neither of this versions are the subject of this exact test (you give results of PS2 version test later). Also which kind of connection to TV did you used in each (console) test? Composite? S-Video? Component? Composite to SCART even? ) Also, when we compare all this to an arcade version, do we assume that arcade version has 0 frames of input lag? Or do we allow a possibility of it having a 1 frame delay? Also, as far as I understand, it is kinda hard to differentiate between this two options, as the input can arrive in a different time of 16(6)ms window, both before, during and after actual frame processing - is there a certain way of differentiating this situations? Or do we simply assume that 16(6)ms window starts (or ends?) by processing the frame and work with this assumption?
  6. reaVer I haven't played it much, and I'm kinda used to my awesome custom stick with Seimitsu LS-32, not to HRAP, so I can only give you some first and basic impressions: - it's very light. This can be a huge benefit, I guess. - it's very small. I'd say it's a bit too small even - I've had a slight discomfort holding right hand too close to the left side. But that's personal I guess. - the stick feels very 'soft' and feels like it has relatively small engagement zone (or is that a big engagement zone? what I mean is that you _don't_ have to pull it all the way to the limit to enter a direction). I felt really comfortable doing dashes, but I kinda had some troubles with DPs and flips ([2]-8). - 6 hit buttons are usual Sanwa buttons, I guess. Nothing to say here. - additional buttons (L1, L2, Start, Select, PS) are not usual Sanwa OBSF-24, but rather some weird Chinese-esque small buttons that I don't really like - they don't really belong there =\ Then again, I had very little experience with it, and I'm used to a (heavy) custom stick with Seimitsu parts, so I'm not sure if I can be of any help there.
  7. I have one, although it was given to me as a present. I can ask about ordering and shipping, I guess, if this info from Russia will help you.

  16. There are many threads with relevant info. Deleting them just because there are some obsolete threads as well serves no purpose at all. There are tons of threads without answers for like 3 years, but stilll those threads contain a link to a CM for a specific character one can search for. For example, on 7th page there is a HoH thread ( http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?3793-Heaven-or-Hell-3-Hell-Side-(part-2) ), which hasn't been replied for quite a while, but when one wants to watch HoH, one can search and find it. Right next to this thread are threads on HOS and Jam CMs, all links working. And there are tons more. Why should you deny them to a person who looks for Jam CMs? Of course it is up to you mods to decide, but Guilty Pleasures has 182 threads, to check each for working links and to move all threads with working links to new forum would take like 2 hours at most (in my mod experience, which I have a lot thanks to fighting.ru). In my opinion, it is not exactly _a lot_ of work, and in my opinion, this work should be done. Making a list of CMs and links will also do, and of this I can help in the nearest future, but moving right threads is both easier and better.
  17. Thanks for understanding ) I'll try to help with a compilation of CV links, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this this week.
  18. Elvenshadow People do want to read your blog, I assure you =) Good luck with finding a team for 29th!
  19. Deleting 8 pages worth of topics with links to media of all kinds is beyond my comprehension. Okay, you don't want have Guilty Pleasures around, that's fine, but why leave the burden of moving the threads to users when you mods can do it in a few clicks? Just move threads from Pleasures to Videos or Zepp museum, whichever is more appropriate. A few mouse clicks to you, lots of copy-paste to regular users... and event with tons of copy-paste one cannot be sure to save all the info he could need a year later. Please consider this one carefully, I ask you.
  20. Circuitous Okay, it is 4 forums in 3 categories, not counting characters and not counting 'community'. And yes, it _may_ be not very hard to find thread in a forum, but first one has to guess which forum to look at and has to make extra clicks while reaching said thread. Over time we can get accustomised to it, no doubt, but the problem is that I hardly see the reason behind this changes, and to my best knowledge it wasn't explained and\or discussed. Most video threads being left in 'pleasures' doesn't help either. If it a feature of a new structure or just a temporary effect?
  21. Not to raise any flame or something, but current topics and forum division makes zero sense to me (as to a GG player). It was kinda getting worse and worse every time for like last two or three changes, but it's understandable, forums get bigger, you have other games, etc. etc. But current situation is like a borderline. I mean, do we really have to look for GG topics through like 4 categories and some crazy amount of subforums? Maybe it is possible at least to move 'Guilty Pleasures' to a Guilty Gear category (possibly splitting some topics to a similar subforum at BB)?
