best advice i can give is read more, play more, post less. most of the great advice from good players was posted before all the console people joined the forum.
-
what happened to this forum? Rachel is TOP tier, with Jin not too far behind. Tager is one of the worst characters in the game. Litchi has 6B and j.C. Tager can not double jump or air dash. 1 - Zone the fuck out of him. 2 - Know how to block. 3 - Win. Seriously, its not that hard.
-
This is litchi's easiest match up. Why is it the longest thread??
-
its a gimmick, you shouldn't rely on it.
-
talk about how to deal with pressure from rush down characters.
-
When you get cursed, back up and throw the stick. He has to block it to keep the curse, so whenever you put the stick down he has to stop what he's doing. Arakune likes to fly around just doing shit pretty often, which is just asking for flame super.
-
If you press and hold D she stays off the screen until you release D. Whatever direction you're holding when you release D is the direction she kicks from (holding right when you release D, she dive kicks right to left, and vice versa).
-
if he blocked the chun, he's just going to punish you, what does that have to do with his autoguard?
-
Spend your time reading the already existing threads, which are very informative, and watching jp videos, not making useless threads.
-
the nu player you're playing against must not know her character at all.
-
the best uppercut is still an uppercut, and a good tager player will know how to block.
-
don't get too into doing anti-air, litchi is weak in this position which is why people approach her with jump ins in the first place. zoning him is a much better idea.
-
Why? (go post in the thread)
-
Jin at close range >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Litchi at close range.
-
Although some people still debate it, Jin is a pretty bad one. Also, I don't think Litchi is that difficult execution wise. After you learn 3C, [D], IAD, ]D[, j.C and flame super, the rest isn't too difficult.
-
how'd you come to that conclusion? edit: also, if we're going to compare litchi's 6B to jin's 5D.. -Litchi's 6B gets a free combo on counter hit only -Jin's 5D gets a freeze on any hit, not just counter -Litchi's 6B is skinny and can be jumped over. Jin can air dash over it Litchi eats another jump B -Jin's 5D is ZOMG HUGE ICE HEAD AND NOW YOU'RE FROZEN EVEN IF YOU WERE IN THE AIR AND ON THE OTHER FUCKING SIDE OF HIM. Also it's only punishable if INSTANT BLOCKED AND JIN DASH CANCELS. So even though litchi's 6B comes out a whopping 3 frames faster, Jin's 5D out does it in every other respect
-
Its true litchi and jin both have good pressure in the corner, but that is true about most characters in almost any fighting game. I think that alone doesn't merrit a 5-5 match up. Getting to the corner is the focus of litchi's game, once you're there you can go on autopilot and just watch for uppercuts. It's that first part, getting to the corner, is where all the thinking is, and also where jin's advantages are. You're. Watch yourself.

jin players know blocked ice ride is unsafe. good players will not do it unless they plan on RCing . Or maybe they just do A version and block, is A version if ice ride safe??? IBing jin's 5D will only work once or twice depending on how much attention the other person is paying. If jin does anything besides dash cancel, you whiff a 5B.

orly?

could these 3c in the corner tricks not also work with just a 5c? (except for noel, carl, and v13)
-
Staffless 6C into OTG 5C doesn't work on Noel, cause she's such a skinny bitch that when she's on the ground the 5C doesn't hit her. I'm pretty sure it works on everyone else though, except maybe Carl, but who the fuck plays with him anyway?
