Yosuke can still roll on your 5C or just use Kunai to punish your frames. Just use 5B to stuff it, you have no reason not to. It's safe and recovers faster than 5C. You can also j.214B tantarafoo too. Just something to add. I had several Yosuke players use EX spring raid when they saw me flash blue during 236C+D startup. Worst part was it was a full screen punish. Kanji's 236C+D has 27F of recovery and Yosuke EX dash spring has 19F of startup. Definitely possible if he does it during your startup of 236C+D. Just something to keep in mind. I found j.214B/A+B to be useful. There isn't a match up where the move is pointless its all about where and when you do it. I land it on Yosuke players quite a bit. Oh one last thing to note. Be very careful on using slow moves on a shocked Yosuke he still has R-action as a option to trip you. Of course you can mess with him by delaying your 5C/2C. -
I don't know but it looks like it recovers faster than EX 6A.

Erhem If Yosuke uses 5D/J.D you can safely 5A/5B the persona and just break the card, in the case of j.D you might as well just let it go over your head or 5B it. Hitting persona's actually add on to your recovery since the move is staying active which gives Yosuke a punish. (Believe me he is fast enough to do this) The move you were refering to is called Dash spring moving on. What you say is true, Yosuke can get hit if he dash springs if you set a 236C+D trap but he can also use EX dash spring to reaction punish you setting it up. He can also high jump and trigger it and the move will with (Yosuke's jump height is really high.) The smarter Yosuke's will use every tool at their disposal to hit you when paralyzed including the following: Jabbing (good normals so he can do this) Hop moonsault (Moonsault has 9F of invul on the first flip) Dash spring as previously mentioned DP Beware of all of these things. In the case of J.2C you can actually block and grab him for doing it. Because he can actually just use j.2D which is the delayed version and see what you are trying to react with and punish you. If you see tantarafoo roll and 214C him. 214C is 5F 5A is 6F If you can jab him then you can and definitely should grab him. -
Been gone all day so sorry for the late reply. 2B 5C 5B 2B is not impractically hard, you just gotta practice a bit and is quite rewarding for the extra damage you get. The easiest you can get for combos are gonna be 2A 2B. If you cant' use 2A 5B 2B then you can always do 5A 5B 2B. you only sacrifice 100-200ish damage and you don't need to worry about the delay that 2A 5B 2B has. Also people say 2A 5B 2B is hard because they don't figure out how it works. I am pretty sure I mentioned it in the Q&A thread if not I can add it.

6A has a decent hitbox and they made the move faster and has much better looking recovery. I support using it and you can also hold it too! Yum

On FC 2C you also wait for them to twirl toward you and confirm as well. You have a lot of time to confirm that. Sometimes 236B~J.214B will drop because your opponent is too far. Also I remembered yesterday why the combo thread is the way it is. Earlier on all the new players would go to the wiki for their information so this thread is more or less a database for combos. I do have to update optimal parts a bit. On another note when I was thinking optimal at the time I was thinking: Most simple, most damaging, and best at baiting bursts. Which is why some combos were bolded as they are. -

I meant during combos. Seems like it does a bit more if the combo isn't long. Gotcha does unprorated 400 damage iirc. -

I correct those when I get the chance. I will also post some 5C corner combos. Not much I found but its better than you what we have. Also EX chair does 600 unprorated damage. -
Me doing FT10s with people. People I expect to step up: Kurumster Tectal Chickzama Psychh Miller Grant li Shinsyn (we fought so much whats the point lol) Beat by X But anyone is fine. Just make sure you are strong enough to win. Don't want Bananaken to record a slaughter. (I could be over confident but whatevers)

Did this guy just say never use 5A after GF on Hakumen because of counters? Oh my god. Really the only pokes you should use outside of 5A after gadget is 5C and 6C. 5C catches everyones back dash unless you are Mu, Lambda, Taokaka, and Arakune. In the case of Mu, Lambda, and Taokaka you would use 6C to blow up backdash. Arakune you can whiff gadget and 360B him..it feels tight though but manageable. With that done let me continue on with my first statement: If you look at Hakumens counters as a reversal then using 5A just carries the risk of being reversal'd. Doesn't make it a bad option at all. what if Hakumen counters and we do a grab instead of 5A? He has to make a guess too! counter and catch a jab or get thrown. ala 50/50. About 6A: It was really really good now it is only decent against low level players. Theoretically the armor would be amazing against air approaches but it is far too slow for it to be worth it and the magnetic pull hurts it. I miss when 6A was great. P.S: Tager 6A has armor against Noel's 3C, Freaking hilarious when it gets caught.
