^This. Tagers overhead does not gattling into a low. His mix up is meh. The best thing he got going for him is fear and random and that is hard to exploit at high level play. IB nerf's didn't hurt Tager that much because we didn't iB 720 everything anyways. In fact to me its a trade off, no more "oh I IB'd such and such time to mash DP or poke" but for exchange we can't lol 360 bad characters like Tsubaki anymore. Tager doesn't beat Haz in japan...in fact any win he gets on Haz is not even legit IMO. Tager's CA is lol, don't use it for emergency, it offers him no oki and its amazingly bad on whiff. Voltech charge is theory talk don't bring that weak shit here son! Tager lost 500 damage off his BnB but hey his 3C got better p1 and gadget gives him 5 heat and does 100 damage. IMO Tager is better than he was in CS1. IMO Tager feels like he only wins through fear and random, I don't actually mind it because the threat of grabs keep people from mashing through my overheads and 4D makes my whoops into something safe and thanks to the IB nerf you can punish that punish. First Ragna vid: You gotta learn when to poke and when to jump, you did way too many high jumps there. 0:56 was your 720 moment, learn when you should do these and you will definitely have fear on your side...and wins. Confirm your pokes better: 1:35 was a CH j.B and you more often then not can do 5C>(6A)Collider off this. Bang: If you ever put your opponent in the corner its sometimes wiser to just cut it short to keep them there. Your defense was pretty good here but you jumped around too much. 9:40 baited!^^ Bad burst kept you from winning that one, you could have gotten away with a lot more backdashes and 2A's. 2A's since he was using j.B's on his jump in's. Bang 2: When you confirm a hit sometimes its not good to go for mixup or resets, if j.2C is blocked you should buffer 720 so you can punish their punish. Ragna 2: 6B and 6C can be gattling into 4D...which helps if 6B is blocked and they are still in poking range. Follow up to hells fang should be 5C'd if he didn't RC. Note: Ragna could have ID'd you for sticking 5A out during BK. Tourney nerve's suck, even I still have them.

Setups? you don't need setups to punish tech rolls...must be that Tsubaki in your brains DT. Easy examples are Ragna and Tager. Tager can beat tech rolls with 5B even though its not well rewarded without magnetism, he can Also punish the roll with 2D which pushes them ever further into the corner and magnetizes them. Ragna can do BE>3C which forces a neutral tech, you can jump cancel 3C and wait for what they do, if they roll back you can airdash j.C them, if they roll forward you can air backdash and j.B them, and if they don't tech you can 2B them and continue. For a bonus I'll name a few more: Lambda is 5D, no one roll tech's on Lambda because 5D will pick you up and you lose 2-3k for doing it. Hazama has 2A which goes into his BnB. Bang can 2A/3C the roll. and You should never back roll roll on jin because 2A stuff's it. I just named a bunch of pokes to do it, characters with decent oki generally have moves that let them move long before their opponents can. /scrub. Edit: Lumin why you telling people my Ragna setups.

Tsubaki's 5B is the only reason Tager vs Tsu isn't 6-4 real talk.

Tager can 360 you after j.4D but sledge is guaranteed if you try it. Also fun things to note. 5C can't be 2D'd. 6A beats all your drives. 5B/5C is your best poke depending on spacing and what Tager is doing...you wan't to throw it out far enough for it to whiff so if Tager was trying to stuff it you hit his extending hitbox, 5C can be sledged but Tager should not be sledging it unless he is reading you. This whole match up is really about your normals which are pretty safe, at least the low ones, you want to get your damage and back off...you want time on your side on this one, and when you gadget you should backdash or jump away, if you get your backdashed stuffed by 5A don't tech unless he follows it up with a normal. (a 5A poking you mid backdash is better than getting grabbed or collidered.) Match up is ass but if you take your time and play keep away it will be much less miserable. You have be risky but know when you can do it, don't just randomly guess, Tager punishes recklessness with grabs.

We hold the 720 because its -39 in CS1...so even if we let go it CH's us. This way if you fuck up the punish you still get snagged for it. Nothing is bullet proof but I will be damned if I didn't win matches because I held down 720 when someone jumped. Random 720's are the best 720's especially if you are me. (the tager who never really 720's.)

You win those matches with mind games and dumb luck. Holy shit being random is so risky. I only do things I don't do and I win more by doing that. "This guy never mashes on my overheads" 720'd.
