  1. I just hold 5D the whole combo. That combo is actually the reason my D button is now mapped to R.
  2. Do you guys have any useful rapid cancel combos? So far the only ones I've got are: 2aaa2c (pause) RC 5B jA jB jC jD BC bugs LOOOOOOOOOOOP 6C 5C 2C(RC) 5D j6A (a bug hits) jc j6A 236C BC bugs LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP (or recurse)
  3. Uhh...well first things first, not getting magnetized is up there on your list of things you want to avoid. But what you should be doing is using your really mobility to zone the crap out of him. Once you get a cloud out against Tager, he's in BIIIIIIIIIIG trouble. Even if he can sledge it, bait him into sledging clouds then jD and start the madness. If he's AAing you with Atomic Collider, punish him with teleport shenanigans. Uhhh...and don't use 3C. Not against Tager anyways. If you're hitting with 5B on reaction you should go into 6C loops.
  4. If you look on the ground a little to the left of bang, you'll see a cloud.
  5. 5C doesn't combo into 5C. It does however combo into 5D. x N means it's a loop and you repeat it as many times as you are capable of or as you feel appropriate.
  6. My Live account is currently inactive but it'll be up and running soon: It is either, GlasyaLabolas or just Labolas. I forget. Edit: Success, the account name is Labolas. Now, I just need to buy a...100 ft LAN cable.
  7. Block and wait for an opening where you can: 2a jump 44 teleport out jump j6A/B/C j2A/B/C Jump backwards, dash forwards jB and hold 4, in numpad: 7 66 4jB There are other ways to start the loop. That being said if you can't hit with 6A, stagger your pressure strings better and mix it up more. Other setups are: 2a 5b 5d 214 BC bug 6C loops jD BC bug 6C loops 5C jA jB(1 hit) jC jD BC bug 6C loops (Note, Jin and some other characters may require 2 jAs.) When cursed: 3AAA 5D 214a/236b BC bug 6C loops (I'm not sure if a 6A should be in there or not but it doesn't hurt) 5AA~BA 6A 6C loops That's all I got. AND I STILL CANNOT DIVE CANCEL ON WHIFF. ARGHARGHARGH I DO NOT GET THIS. I mean I can cancel into 5B on hit or block, but I can't eliminate recovery on whiff. And apparently you can cancel recovery on whiff too? That is just bonkers.
  8. Yeah, same, and the person I play most often is a Jin player. No rushdown funtimes for me. There are definitely times where it's better just to zone. Like, against Hakumen, or Tager.
  9. In an ideal situation, if they're close enough you can go for 5b 5d 214a BC Bug 6C loop. If they're too far but you believe they have enough recovery you can go for 6a 5d 214 BC bug 6C loop. Or you can do 5C CH into air combo. Or 2C CH into 5B into aircombo if you're far away enough and they have enough lag. I have a question, what do you people do once your opponent is cursed? Do you normally zone and such, or do you use them to cover your approach and run hilarious rushdown? I find the latter to be much more fun.
  10. If you're doing it while backdashing you still hold 4.
  11. LOLOLOL, I spent about 4 hours in practice mode getting that shit down. Now it's one of my main tools. You should learn the timing on block too. It's one of those things that I find is great for pushing people over the edge into guard crush territory. Or keeping your dive bullshit nice and scary. It can't be canceled into throw on block though, because they get pushed too far away. I don't know if dive can be canceled into throw at all either.
  12. Hey don't worry about it, my 6C loops initially were the funniest things. See, I only read about them and never saw them, so I thought I was actually supposed to hit the opponent with 6A. So I ended up with this idiotic basketball variant that would get prorated to hell and didn't work on Carl.
  13. That's pretty good, but I daresay he has far more than that for pressure. Even when they aren't cursed.
  14. Your problem may be here:
  15. After watching these, I just realized that I am in fact doing the 6C loops wrong. It still works...but I'm doing something that's...not them. (6C 5C 2[C] (-C- -B- (bug hits)) 6[A] [4]-A- -4- (-A- bug hits) ) xN I always have to input 6C 5C really fast to avoid over lapping with the next C bug's release. You should learn your options off of 2a: 2a 5b 5d 214a BC bugs 6A a bug 6C loops 2aaa 2c 2aaa 2c RC AIRCOMBO
  16. So wait, you have to jump again in order to do it? Because if I just hold down 2 and press a, b, or c on landing I get 2a, 2b, or 2c. Maybe a video example would be helpful, if you could provide one. I'm assuming this is different from just cancelling into another j2X on hit or block given that you mentioned doing it on whiff. Dive cancelling in this case is cancelling the landing lag into an attack? Or is it what you were talking about above? If it's the latter, then I am horribly confused. I shall definitely learn this. I couldn't get it to combo on grounded opponents. I never tried aerial opponents though.
  17. I'm not sure what you're saying here. Are you getting j2a to combo into j2C or j2B to combo into j2C? I can't seem to get anything that isn't black heat. I can however cancel the landing frames of j2X into 5B into aircombo. I know they can cancel into each other to make things safer on block. But they don't seem to combo without curse.
  18. I think it isn't really that important, if you read Hell's post however, ideally they'll be cursed and you'll be invisible therefore, if they are already cursed: 236b and go for eeeeeeeeeeeeet Or 3aa 6a 5d 236b N to Infinity If they are not already cursed: 2a 5b 5d 236b N to Infinity
  19. It was a joke. That's why the face was there. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.
  20. Get the cloud that follows you, 66, and go for throw. 6a (blocked) pause throw/poke mixup <======= Standard tickthrow but pulls them in. Gives 0 frames on block if I'm reading this chart right, so it's actually pretty nice for a throw setup. Just don't let them IB it. jA (whiff) throw <======= Standard tickthrow 5a (whiff/block) pause, poke/throw <======== Also a standard tickthrow You could probably do some nice things with teleport fakeouts as well.
  21. Learning the 6C loops will give you the ability to make people hide under their bed and whimper softly. Also, since I didn't understand the other explanation at all, and consequently spent two hours trying to learn a curse loop where I was hitting the opponent with c bug + 2b, b bug, 6a a bug into reloop*, here is a simplified version that I managed to get working. I think it only works on certain characters though. (6c 5c 2[c] -c- -b- ) xN In certain cases: (6c 5c 2[c] -c- -b- 6[a] ( tiny pause) -a- ) xN AddenDUMB: I'm not sure if the pause is best before or after you release a. I think it's best after. Then ja 6a ja jb jc j2d for ender, this is the standard air combo ofc. If you're opponent is still has curse, you may want to go for hilarious things. *I actually can get everything to hit, but I when I try to continue the loop I always end up smacking them with 5c instead of 6c. I imagine if you delayed the a bug a little you might be able to get it to work. Also, does anyone have any good curse options off of random 5a? So far my best is: 5a -b- a j6a air combo shenanigans. Edit: MUAHAHAHAHA, I AM SUCCESS You can combo into 6c loops off of 5a by: 5a 5a (very very very quickly press B during a 5a) 5a 6a (b-bug hits) (a-bug hits) 6C loops Tested on Ragna. It seems to be pretty character specific.
