If you find a way, you should come to Chaz's house and record some matches with everyone. If not I'll still find a way to show some more fights of fighting different people soon enough.

Bleed: is the standard of what it is to be a Johnny player. What I acquired from him was that Johnny can make a combo or a set up from nearly any random hit. DC: The Coin Spam King love watching him fight so much, and I really think he is probably one of the smartest Johnny players out there. I think I acquired the most dramatic change in my style watching him, because he taught me to concentrate on being effective without the coins, and taught me how good coin locks people down which I think is the biggest reason why Johnny players are so ineffective (besides all his other "disadvantages"). Also a dramatic incident when I was getting Pwned by Andrew from FL after losing all my coins and he kept saying "a coinless Johnny is worthless". Watching DC helped me to learn those things. Being too reserved will kill you, but if you learn how to play without it, it will make you all the better IMO. Omito: is the shit. Execution flawless which is so important for Johnny's combo. Suzume: has spectacular execution with a crazy lockdown, Mist Cancel King. I learned the importance of MCing from him. MK: got a lot better but he is real sometime-ish. He uses a lot of Jackhounds though. Ying: Real fast, he is probably the fastest Johnny player I have ever seen, and heavy in using DBs. Hiro: is hot shit, he is really flashy but he is effective which is hard to pull off. Jonio: I really like him for real. He uses Johnny like he is supposed to in AC. Love how he disrespected that Eddie though in that video. MSY: God of Johnny!! I haven't seen him fight since Reloaded but he never lost. Also his CVs shows he hasn't lost his touch though it might be unfair to give him that title seeing as how long ago he hasn't played in tournaments.

Alright Great I am glad that you finally clarified what you meant by that. If he is that vertical to me, I usually forward dash under it. I don't always coin, but in cases where they are in the right position I am all for it. I know as well as anyone how retarded the hitbox on that move is so I know not to take it lightly. Look I don't mind that you had a difference of opnion to what I was already saying, the only thing I had a qualm about is that a lot of what you were saying could have been used to help on its own accord as opposed to against my advice that is all that I was saying.

Alright so we were disagreeing to agree then if that was the case. Also I take the Mook seriously because moves can be deceiving to look at when you are fighting. After I read the Mook I understand how fast moves really are, to counter them. I use the Air throw a lot also but never tried the IB OD (not big on using OD outside of gatling pressure and wake up). Also never really tried the FDing on him. I like these options but I don't think that changes the fact that Coin still works for me consistently on all the Slayer players I play. Rarely I do get hit but the odds are way better to me than anything else. DandyStepper and I were conditioned after lots of fights to fight in that manner, For example, he didn't BBU because I FD/IBed it too often, and it lead into a free combo for me everytime or he wouldn't AA me a lot because a lot of times I would DB him coming down. Most of those fights were like 30 or so deep in fights we had that day. I wouldn't say he doesn't know the match up, its because I have been playing my Johnny against his Slayer for years, and after a while things get weird after counterattacking counters all the time. Also Bro it seems like you have a lot of good ideas but why do you have to say them while debating to agree with a lot of the stuff I am saying. Why don't you just put them down for everyone to see as opposed to going back and forth me to say them.

Johnny controls the Mid range, so he has to be farther than that to even consider the Mappa. The Mappa P start up is 11 frames and the K is 14 frames coming from outside of Mid range added into the frame equation and you can't stop it with a move that is 6 frames. I think you may need to work on your hand-eye coordination a bit. Let's take a look at all of Johnny's AAs: 5HS: not even half realistic. 5P: HaHaHaHa 6P: Has honestly a 20-10% chance of success, which is not even realistic to incorporate. 5K: Hell NO!! 6K: If you don't know this a horrible idea, I don't know what to say. Coin: is a projectile with 4 frames with great recovery. Hmmmm.... I think I'll go with that. The only other realistic idea is to either Backdash or forward dash under the move. Also the word NEVER is a dangerous one to use in any debate over an issue. I have stopped those same pokes to NEVER stuff way too often to take what you said seriously. Also when I do stop the Mappa I lead into 2D-Coin, or 5K-HS-into Bread and Butter. If you want to see how I deal with Slayer you could just watch it on youtube.

4r5 said it all. Yeah, it is hot shit. I got it off of the Fan art thread. I think it was rtl42 or something like that for posting it. Thanks to him.

Alright I have been using in the corner, K-HS-MFK lvl2-Coin-Iad J.P-J.D-DB on heavy characters that are hard to enkasu, but you must FRC the mist to get anything out of it. Its actually been working well for me. Even though its a few frames off recovery wise compared to the enkasu. When they wake up they usually are too far away to use a move that is fast enough to hit. I am not saying to make this anyone's standard but is a decent option when you are not too sure the enkasu will land. Everyone needs options.

Johnny is more than complicated, if you can actually capture all his potential in one forum I would love to see it.

If it is Dibakon, or GGEXE, I saw it. They both had a lot of great stuff with the FUCKING COMBO I CAN'T DO!! I'm not bitter, I'm not bitter. If it is a different one, I couldn't figure out how the site worked so please keep me updated.

Yeah Greasy that happens a little too often now. We have to remedy this problem.

Force of habit, but even without it, it still comes up short.

Thanks but it still didn't work, and I'm playing on the AC+ version. I will play on the American AC tomorrow to see the difference thanks for the advice. I will keep trying though, but even on my fastest times, I didn't connect with J.D.
-
ALRIGHT, I'm about two steps from having a brain tumor someone for the love of fuck and puppies, help me out here. The first version of Accent Core, so beautifully dubbed "Accident Core" I was able to do a combo with Johnny that I have been seeing a lot of combo videos do now that it seems like I can't do anymore since I play AC+, and the american AC. The combo is K-S-JI-HS-421S-S-FRC-J.HS-J.D-etc. the J.HS-J.D doesn't work for me anymore. I don't know what happened but now I can't do the combo at all on anyone. Johnny falls way too fast for me to hit with the J.D, and most times the J.HS never even hits. Can someone please confirm this for me or tell me how to do it again, because I feel like I went crazy.

I'm new to this thread because I usually just play Mynus, Xaq, Dandystepper, Zidane, and a few others from NY, and NJ by Mynus' house. I played on the CTF stick once and it was really bad but that was a long time ago, I don't know how it is now. I heard of a few of you from Mynus, but everyone else I'm pretty much oblivious to, but want to play all of you. Not to knock where you already are, but hopefully the next time Mynus has a gathering or even a small gathering you guys should come its near BK where it seems most of you are. I usually play on Pad, but I am still learning how to play on stick. Get at me if you can.

Oh alright cool. What does RTSD mean? Glad we got around the miscommunication.

I admit for the coin in the beginning given that they didn't play many JO players, they didn't know what to do. That might be a good reason as to why either didn't find a way around it. They did try 2S, and everytime it traded with my coin, nothing really special to me honestly when it came to that move. The Backdashing I believe is way too risky because the only times I actually got the backdash to work I got punished. Marlin almost never dropped a combo and neither did Marn so it was painful. I don't block high though because you can see 6K with a little warning but 5K is instant. The only thing I totally don't agree with is saying that good EDs will find a way to get around JO's coin. I understand that if he puts him away that will make sense, but if he is close enough to attack then he is definitely close enough to be coined or for at least to make Big ED block. MarlinPie, and Marn are good EDs but after a while they even quit coming in on me with the little Eddie out. He is either close enough to get hit, block or Big Ed gets hit or block. Either way it will result in the lil eddie stopping. Coin goes dang near half screen the only thing eddie has that far is the D for lil ed and IH, and either is easily blocked.
-
I had a chance recently to play MarlinPie, and beat Marn, and I got a little more insight how to play Eddie. 1) On the opening since a lot of times they are so confident in their normals, I usually just coin them. Even though they do Invite Hell, I still have enough time to block. Its worth it to me if we trade because my next combo is guaranteed half damage. 2) Even though I don't recommend it but if you do plan on jumping, Superjump everytime so that he can't hit you with Little Eddie S. and when he does do the move DB frc to kill him off. That helped me out a couple of times. 3) You should never allow an Eddie player to have out little Eddie and come at you and succeed in intiating pressure from the other side of the screen even with Invite Hells. You can just throw one coin and that is all over. 4) When you actually get caught in the lockdown, the only bit of advice is that you either learn to SB on the second hit of Mawaru or just learn your opponents patterns. I blocked low most of the time though, and adjust high for his 6K. Also when he goes under ground (Break the Law) that you block high for the Shadow Gallery.
-
If in the opening, the other Johnny throws a coin, dashing under or 6K is a good option.
