If you come, please come on the inside, less messy and the sheets won't be sticky. Btw- Sam won't be here until Wednesday. I can bring Dreamcast AV cables in case that one guy can't make it tonight. Seeing as how this is the last hosting before EVO, I think having a small tourny for whichever games we are up for would be fun and good practice. Maybe round robin, depending on how many people are interested (if any) :P Yeah, I recommend to Erik and Andrew they find alternative means, because whether or not my mom's SUV will be available is still in the air, and I don't want to risk finding out later. I already started looking, and I might have one with someone from Flagstaff. -

Sorry I didn't tell you, but I told Andrew that my mom's SUV might not be available that weekend, I will find out for sure tomorrow. Sorry for the delay in letting you know. -

This Friday at Rubens again sounds great, last Friday was awesome, plenty of room, plenty of set ups, and I didn't mind the drive at all. I would be willing to bring my TV this Friday since it sounds like a lot more people are going to be there this time. Justin: Thanks for posting tips and tricks for BB, that was a huge help. I tried to implement it into my Noel, we will see if I can pull anything new off on people this Friday. -

Luke: I think several people are up for playing some GGXX, but many might be out of practice, I know I am for sure.... at least Potemkin does not require much upkeep to maintain =) Mehraj had the idea to start a VINCE WATCH mission where we stake out his house in Gilbert, any volunteers? CS2 related: don't know if this is old or not, but has anyone tried doing Tagers challenge 9? It seems that the game simply won't let you do it since it won't let you magnetize your opponent for some reason, even the demonstration wouldn't work. -
Another note: using 50% meter to counter assault out of Carl+Nirvana sandwich is usually worth it. It gets you out of harms way, and puts you in a pretty good position.

I was going to say Friday and Saturday both work for me, but looks like Friday is the winner regardless. Btw- MvC3 tournament in Albuquerque was a lot of fun. I think I got top 16 and Kyne got top 8, and I met Justin Wong. hanging out with Samsung was a lot of fun too. It was the first year of that comic con in Albuquerque, and they already have a more competitive scene than PCC, lol -

Thanks for the hosting on Friday, playing against all the people I had never played against before was particularly fun. I look forward to gatherings in Scottsdale, should they happen. In other news, anti-Phoenix technology is pretty awesome. For those who haven't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGTStzEdUUw&feature=related I tried it out myself, seems completely legit. -

Actually, after getting back into wc3 for a little bit while I was in Flagstaff, I found out that zeppelin micro is pretty common now, and most players add a few air-hard counter units to the mix just to kill the zeppelin. I think I like SC2 a lot because it's a solid game to begin with, but also it's the best form of competitive gaming I get while in Flagstaff, I play about once per week while I'm in the valley. -

I think I never heard the term because the extent of my micro in that game was focusing on a unit, run away with the unit they are focusing on, and don't let my heroes die. Oh, and hero nuking if I was playing UD. >_< -

As long as they know that scans reveal cloaked units, DTs won't work against bad terran players, since they stock up energy on their orbital command from forgetting to use MULEs. lol, I played wc3 a lot too and never heard that term until I started playing SC2. -

lol word. If you can come up with an optimal way to do a fast zealot rush or a zealot charge timing attack, it would be really good practice. One basic idea to do this is to time your 2nd gas in such a way that your Twilight Counsel finishes right when you have 200 gas. But be aware that zealots are really limited by themselves, since they are easily kited by roaches on creep, marauders with concussive shells, or stalkers, even though charge negates their ability to kite you slightly, other good units will be available by the time you have charge. Actually, the guys reapers in the beginning could have kited your zealots forever and killed your entire economy since you had no stalkers. You should always have some stalkers regardless if your opponent has air or not, and they require some micro to be efficient. In case you don't know what kiting is. -

Oh gawd, that was slightly painful to watch... nah it was fine. FYI- you guys played on a map that was removed from the ladder map pool a LONG time ago. First mistake I noticed was you chrono boosted your nexus when you were 9/10 psy, which means you only got to utilize 50% of your chrono boost. You put 2 pylons down before your first gateway >_< You made extra pylons that you didn't need yet before putting down your Cybernetics core. Made your cybernetics core before making an assimilater. Had the assimilater up for >5 minutes before you started to mine gas. almost never made an advanced structure >_< good things you did were making 10 or so extra gateways when you noticed you had the income for it and didn't stop making probes pro tips: Get gas earlier Get CC earlier Get gas at all your expos as soon as the expo is up Get tech structures/units Get warp gate technology as soon as CC is up Learn to use sentries utilize chrono boost as much as possible. Remember that each nexus has chrono boost, not just the first one. ideally, your unit producing structures should always be producing something, 100% of the time, but no one is that perfect. hope that helps. -

BTW- I still have all the TVs downstairs, so you think coming over after words is possible, bringing at least one console + sticks would be nice, then we can have BB and MvC3 going simultaneously. -

Oddly enough, I would rather do wings in Mesa since I will be getting out of class around then, and Alonzo was interested in coming. But if we do do wings in Chandler, we can hang out at my house afterwords, which is 5 minutes away.... So it should work out nicely either way. -
