Pretty sure this is an embarassingly silly question, but how do you do Phorizor out of Strike Fall? Maybe I'm just not used to fighters on the PS3 controller yet, but I've only been able to do it all of once. >.>;
-
Ah. I thought it was at first, but after re-listening I got convinced otherwise, since I could barely hear the 'your fate' part. xP

No clue if this is the right place for it(Sorry if it's not), but does anyone know what Tsubaki says in her BBCP astral? From what I can make out, it's like "Your crime runs deep, but you may yet be saved. I'll sever your fate. In the name of justice, I punish!", but all the vids I see the astral in have the BBCP opening playing over it, making it hard to hear. xP

Not a whole lot for me to say here, but I'd just like to thank you for all the work you've done with this topic. Thanks to it, I was finally able to decide on a main for GG, as well as learn some nifty tricks. Keep up the awesome work, Eh. x3

Ohey, this is the perfect place for the character I thought up a while back, Theta! I sorta made a random topic to bring up the idea and show off my spritework, but now this topic exists, soooo~ Theta-8! Lorewise, she'd be a salvaged Murakumo unit, similar to Lambda...but without the ability to replicate Nu's sword-spammyness, more Tager-like tech was used in her construction, granting her the electrical weapon called the Artificial Causality Weapon: Mjolnir. Drive: Thunderclap Upon hitting the enemy a certain number of times(Say...3 hits/blocks of one of her D moves/specials?), Theta gains a Static Charge. While her D moves usually have strong hitting effects(wallbounce, groundbounce, etc), they have long recoveries that require one to use RCs to follow up(Although they're relatively safe on block thanks to high blockstun and/or knockback). However, with a Static Charge, D can be pressed a second time during the move to release a bolt of lightning, striking the enemy several times and allowing a followup at the cost of the charge. In general, she'd be a very...smashy character, if that makes sense, her combos being relatively short, but with multiple bounces and whatnot for solid damage, with a weakness to zoners(Since she wouldn't really have any safe ways to get in, at least that I've thought of). Somewhat similar to Tsubaki, she has a Distortion Drive that can potentially use all of her Static Charges, called Divine Lightning. However, unlike Tsubaki's, where there's a special input for using stocks and no stocks, one can rapidly press D during the super to call down more lightning for extra damage.

A-alright, then...sure. Most of my stuff could probably go in the Fanart thread just fine, except for the thing I want to post currently(a fancharacter of mine), hence creating this topic. Let's do this. Some of you may remember me as that guy who does BB sprites(both edits and custom sprites) sometimes, such as: Decided to update an ooooold Blazblue fancharacter I made for an rp like 2 years ago. Here we go! So, why did I post some old stuff if this first post isn't really about that? I figure I can use this topic for future stuff, so might as well put up the backlog(As well as hopefully make this thread more legitimate.) Then: Now: So, uh...here's some stuff I ramblingly wrote out for the character. " Name: Theta-8 Artificial Causality Weapon: Mjolnir(Design based off the Lux Sanctus: Murakumo, hence the similar appearances.) Drive: Thunderclap Upon hitting the enemy a certain number of times(Say...3?), Theta gains a Static Charge. While her D moves usually have strong hitting effects(wallbounce, groundbounce, etc), they have long recoveries that require one to use RCs to follow up(Although they're relatively safe on block thanks to high blockstun). However, with a Static Charge, D can be pressed a second time during the move to release a bolt of lightning, striking the enemy several times and allowing a followup at the cost of the Charge, making her sorta a weird hybrid Tsubaki/Labrys(If we're to mix fighting games, heh. Haven't played P4A in months, though, so I may be horribly, horribly wrong. Sorry). Similar to Tsubaki, she has a Distortion Drive that can potentially use all of her Static Charges, called Divine Lightning. However, unlike Tsubaki's, where there's a special input for using stocks and no stocks, one can rapidly press D during the super to call down more lightning for extra damage. Mobilitywise, she'd have a short hop similar to Carl's, and would probably be weak to zoners, although I'd imagine she'd be good for spacing with large hitboxes from her hammer. .-. " So, uh....yeah. Thoughts and stuff would be nice. I feel like I sorta overcomplicated the design, but I dunno. x3 Sorry if making this topic was like, a bad idea or it could have gone somewhere else better or something. If so, just feel free to nuke the topic, Modguys. :3

Aha! It worked! I thought I had to dash a lot further for 6B to land, hehe. Thanks! x3 Gonna take some practice to get it down 100%, but now that I know I need to microdash, should be a lot easier now.
-
Oh, I know. I am dashing, but I can't hit them with 6B after dashing before they tech, either because I can't dash far enough, or I get close to far enough and try to 6B, but they tech. :B I'm practicing this on Ragna, if that makes any difference. I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but who knows? lol
-
Well, I'd ask in the CSE stuff(Except, y'know, it's all locked and archived now, apparently), but I kinda need help with this I can't seem to dash anywhere near far enough after 214A to land a 6B, and when I do get anywhere close to that, the dummy techs. Do I need to delay the 6C>214A or something? It's probably just something simple I'm missing, but I'm trying to learn some Relius combos in CSE and this is getting kinda annoying. :P
-
Fanart? Alright. Wanted to do a non-oc for once, so sprited Izayoi. Colors are a bit off, but that's mostly because the colors from the actual sprite looked eh at this scale. >.>;

While I'm entirely sure this is false, it makes me wonder: Does Rachel even have parents? I thought Clavis was like, her grandfather or something, but I don't remember any mention of a mother or father or anything like that. Not really important in the grand scheme of things, I guess, but I'm still kinda curious.
-
Sorry for the double post, but it's been a good few days, so it should be fine, right? Relius recolor I did for a thing. Turned out pretty nice. :V
-
Dunno if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone have a gif/whatever of Lambda/Nu's taunt(Partiuclarly, the sorta energy screen she brings up)? Trying to explain it to a friend, and i can't find anything on it. It's not even in the Lambda sprites I downloaded. :/ Wait, it's there. My bad.
-
I may not be an expert, but didn't the Wheel of Fortune drama CD thing say Nu killed Tsubaki? Like, Nu saw her, and thought she was trying to steal Ragna from her and attacked. That's what I heard, at least. :V
-
Well, got bored and decided to edit a sprite of Bullet into a character of mine who's sprite I never finished(Coats are a huge pain at times. xP) I think it turned out pretty well, all said.

Well, I was told this can still be used as discussion for non-CP versions, so here I go... After talking with some dustloop people, I want to give Mu(CSE) a shot. I really like the idea of using Steins to lock down the opponent and pressure them into mistakes...but I have no clue how to do that. I mean, I've learned a few things from the dustloop wiki(Like 6D>Explosion for a long ranged poke, and a.2d is apparently an OTG laser), but I'm still not exactly sure how to use the other Ds for locking people down. If anyone could link me to a topic/post where how to properly use steins is discussed, or can in general help me out, I'd really appreciate it. :3c
-
Oh, I can? Alright then. x3 Also, Tao sounds pretty interesting now...maybe I'll look into her, too.
-
Well, I'm not quite starting out(I have like 180 hours in CS2, lulz. But I haven't actually done anything more then "Derp around in training mode for maybe 5 minutes" in ages.), but some stuff like IADs and TKing give me trouble at times due to my controller, yeah. xd I've never hugely thought of trying Tao, really. Along with Arakune and Litchi, they're the three character's I've never really seriously tried out. My extent of knowledge on how Tao works is "Kawaii derpy catgirl who jumps all over the place" , pretty much. As for Mu..I really like the idea of using Steins to lock down the opponent, putting on the pressure(I'd like to say getting them to panic a bit and take advantage of that, but that's a bit of a strong word.) to increase the chances of them making a mistake I can punish them for. I'm not really sure on how to take advantage of the Steins though, and with the advent of CP, it seems all the CSEX topics are getting moved to the archives(Can you even still post in archive topics, or will that get me in trouble? xP ), so I'm not sure where to ask about that sort of stuff anymore.

I've tried Hakumen a bit now and then, but he has a weird flow in terms of combos and stuff, it seems. He does seem to have really strong pokes in the form of 4C and J.C, though. Really, that weird flow compared to the rest of the cast was what put me off him initially, really.
-
I tried out Litchi a little last night, actually(Basically just doing combos I found on the Dustloop wiki...well, trying at least, lol), but she's a little tricky to wrap my head around so far(Being one of the two characters I've never explore in the past, her staff shenanigans are odd.). Still, I'll definitely give her a try and see how it turns out. :3 And yeah, I know practice will help way more then changing characters, but I sorta figured Lambda wasn't the same kind of poking I meant. It'd hard to sorta describe, but it didn't quite feel right, which I think helped contribute to my losses just as much as my lack of skill. :P
-
Oh wow, no posts here in months? Huh. If I'm somehow posting in the wrong topic or something, sorry about that. Well, with the whole CP thing, I'm trying to get back into BB, but having trouble... I know what character I like to play, I think(More of the poking type. For an example, I play Raphael in SC5, but that's a whole different type of fighting game, really. Just trying to sorta show what I'm trying to find, I guess?), but when I try, say...Lambda, I'm getting destroyed. Maybe it's just the combination of Hell AI, rustiness and bad matchups(I always seem to get Taokaka. :B ), but I'm just getting demolished. I can do some of her more bnb ish stuff...sometimes. I'm really bad at TKing so far, it seems. and IADing. I suspect this is as much a controller thing(360 controller. :B )thing as me just sucking. Anyways...rambling aside(I tend to do that all the time when I don't sleep. >.>; ), are there any characters who have this more sort of playstyle? I remember trying out everyone but like, Litchi and Arakune last I played, but that was many months ago(Well, looking by my last post in this topic, about 9 months ago. lol. I'd like to think I've more decisively figured out what I'm trying to go for in playstyle now, at least), and my brain is horribly rusty. xP Again, I apologize for the rambling. xP

Oooh. And here I thought it was something in japanese. lol. Thanks for clarifying. :3c

Well, watching Azreal's ending a few times, seems like he's saying *Something* Dragunov Level 2. That fits in with his weaponry-themed move names, so I don't think I'm mishearing it. I know this isn't really helpful at all or anything, but I figured I'd note it. Also, am I the only one who noticed Azrael's tattoos seem to vanish during his astral? I was thinking that was the limiter that was mentioned with him, but maybe I'm just crazy. Wait, nope. I'm probably crazy either way.
-
Dat Granzon. :3 Yeah. I need to work on defense too, I think. A problem I've noticed playing on line is I'm no good at dealing with pressure. Like, people push me on the defensive, and I have a hard time getting back on the offensive. I think part of it is that I've never really used 5a 2a and stuff until recently. I usually tried to start combos with 5b, which is harder to do. I did notice I had an easier time hitting once I started using As, though. And airdashing, sadly. Stupid 360 controller reads my 6s as 9s sometimes, lulz. Sorta annoying when I'm trying to do an IAD D nail, but I end up double-jumping instead, lol. It actually worked on that Hakumen a bit, though. I think he was expecting me to IAD too. :B That said, I have a ton of problems...but, even after getting my ass kicked, I still wanna play Bang. That counts for something, I think. Feeling more dedicated then usual, at any rate. :D
