Wait. Is his 214D~A +2 on block or +2 on IB? If that is the case, can't you just IB it and make it -3? That's pretty unsafe to me.
-
The match up is by no means free, but let's stop arguing until the Japanese come out with a match up chart. Tager specific combos/strategies, anyone?
-
Super jump stein is VERY good against Tager. That's all he's saying. Because upon Mu landing her charged lasers will be going off and hitting Tager, she won't be comboed from sparkbolt even if she were to get hit by it (which is unlikely if timed correctly). That's it. Also, I'm saying this matchup is 7-3 for Mu.
-
Do you know what beats sparkbolt? Blocking. What else? Doing 214D when there is a stein on him to force him to NOT use sparkbolt. Even if he uses it, the explosion will knock him out and you'll still be fine. If you do 6D JC, you'll block sparkbolt and now there is a stein on him. Good for you! If he's sledging full screen, punish with 6C or 5C.

Sweetie. Mu is all about the corner rape already. xD
-
No. It still loses to pokes. That's why you mix it up by not crossing under and instead doing something meaty.

I realize, but what is with these new people acting like they're hot shit without warrant? Just something I've noticed. Also, LordSpectre. No offense meant with that post. Intonation/implication is lost through text.

Still no reply about that ride to SCR? -
I say it's 6-4. Valkenhayn may be hard to get rid of when he gets on you, but seriously, IB DP or IB 2A will beat him.
-
I have been here for years. wtf?
-
I'm quite aware as to what a loketest is. As of this loketest, they are dead. And you are?
-
He should NEVER be approaching you in the air in wolf form. Bait it, and 2C CH him for massive damage. If he does a should tackle/BBU to get in, IB that shit and punish him. You can get a green throw directly after IBing and will get a throw counter if he does ANYTHING afterwards. Be patient and zone.

I'm sick of the idiots that blazblue has brought in. =/ It might be SFIV though. Anyways, my thoughts: Mu is dead. Makoto is dead. Jin is stupid. Lambda sounds interesting... Skye, FU and Blade are the worst people on here. These threads should be closed to the public. Thanks.

More: Ragna: + Able to combo off 3C + 2C > 5C gatling added - Fine-tuning all of his damage. (?) I think it has been lowered. Noel: - 5C no longer moves her forward. Arakune: - F of g now leads to a combo
-
More Mu: + 2C > 6C combos on standing. Makoto: - Shooting Star D cancel was removed.
-
Jin + 5B > 6A gatling added. Of course, it doesn't combo. + 2B > 5B gatling added.
-
Arakune: + f of g leads into combos. Easier to mark (?) Lambda + TK Crescent Loop is easier to float higher. Hazama None? Makoto -Forward throw can't be canceled. 4B+C is the same. -Comet is slower. -Astroid Vision Barrier cancel removed. -lvl3 D has significantly less hitstop. Hard to followup. -Shooting Star wall bounce removed. -C Asteroid vision angle has been changed. Arrow followup combo is now impossible. EDIT: Rachel: + Tempest Dahlia has no wind consumption. Speed is good. Thanks Andarel!

Something that seems to work for me is 5C 5D j.2C (laser) dash 5B etc... Just be careful and watch for the IB on j.2C or the 5C.
-
I find that mixup such as 4D IAD j.C 236A land against Tager and other characters who have slower pokes works pretty well on wakeup if you condition them to respect you. Mu is all about conditioning.
-
I would say so. I personally feel sacrificing damage for a superior setup is mostly the better choice, pending you feel the opponent will get hit by the setup. The damage you get from the setups is most likely the more damaging. I wish I could get some videos of me playing up. Anyway one of you guys could help me? By the way, FlyingVe. Very nice Mu there.
-
Very nice video. That is a prime example of how this matchup should look.
-
Exactly. Rely mainly on trapping them into an area or restricting their movement by making them fear the steins. An example of this is forcing them to the air with 5D 6D j.2D 5D setup. The threat of 214D on the ground SHOULD be too much for them to just dash in, which will make them jump. Mu excels in the air with j.C, but keep in mind that the ground string of steins isn't just for show, so pop them every now and then. Honestly, it feels like she is a control character rather than zoning or rushdown. She wants to control space and keep you out of it. And again, I can't emphasize this enough, but NEVER summon more than two steins raw unless you know they won't bumrush you. Be patient.

Come to Tucson on a Friday! I miss you all. T_T EDIT: Who all is going to SoCal regionals? I'd like to go and practice a lot beforehand. What is pricing looking at and when exactly is everyone heading there/coming back? I haven't been out of state for a tournament in years. -
Of course he can react to what I do, but jumping in against Mu is probably one of the worst things a Tager player can do. Consider the space she controls with her stein placement and her fantastic anti-airs. The best idea is to hope for Mu to fuck up, get in with a bolt or a sledge and ride the momentum until she dies. Walking forward and blocking is also a great idea against her because her ground to ground is good and all, but you'll eventually force her to a corner. Keep in mind that Mu will eventually guard break Tager if he isn't careful though. A nice setup after 3C: 2B 5C 6C 6D 63214C(lvl2) 214D (oki) (6D 214D)xn until he jumps, in which case do 6D 4D 214D short dash 5C into midscreen blockstring mixup to better place him into a 5C 6C 4D IAD back 6C 214D 4[D] into whatever.
