  1. Good games everyone! I had a blast. Highlight of the trip was when we checked into the room at Double Tree and found out the tv had no Coaxial input or any other input we could use for a setup, to which we said "What is this poverty?" We then turned on the tv to see the very end of the trailer for "Salt", to which we simply turned off the television. Good times.
  2. I would still buff her oki to A. If you play your cards right, they force themselves to guess. Example: 5D 6D 236D dash (if they jump, 6A 2C etc...) 6D 4D (mix them up) They won't jump much if you start punishing them, but you just need to watch out for reversals, so instead of S oki, I'd give her A- oki.
  3. Think of it like this. If the difficulty for Litchi against everyone was even, and the difficulty for Bang against everyone was the same, but Litchi had a harder mirror, Bang would be placed higher because he has a higher chance of winning. Is this making sense at all to anyone?
  4. Cross under is an oki setup. I'm working on a fuzzy guard setup. >:3
  5. FC combos, 214D whiff combos. I can't think of anything else, really.
  6. This guy gets it.
  7. Oh, I love riding with Brian. I meant I don't want the ride to get to his house before we leave for Cali to take any longer than it needs to. ^_^ Also, I've been play Hisoutensoku like mad recently. Using Reisen. It's fun.
  8. I've thought this for a while. I just thought everyone would think I was retarded if I brought it up. I don't want to be Blade.
  9. Regardless of chance, you can't risk throwing things out that will give you the momentum, and thus the fight feels harder than even, because if you make a mistake you'll pay for it. Because of this, you limit your own options. This is just like Mu's matchup with taokaka: Because Taokaka limits her oki and limits her pokes, the matchup is bad. Now, if your mirror limits your options, the will make the matchup against you, regardless if they are limited too. They feel the limitations on themselves, too, but they can't possibly know how the matchup feels for you. They can only tell how it feels for themselves, and so it feels 6-4, and their perception in this case determines the matchup.
  10. Brian: Can you pm me your address? I plan on getting there as soon as I can tomorrow, and I'd like to map out the drive to your place so it doesn't take any longer than it needs to.
  11. For those of you still confused, here's an example: Let's say you're playing a Rachel mirror. It is technically 5-5. But what if your style of playing Rachel is rushdown, while his is zoning? What would the matchup look like? (This isn't accurate, just an example) The matchup is 4-6 for the person who is rushing down. What if Rachel switches to zoning? The matchup switches: 6 - 4 for the zoning rushdown Rachel. Why? Because she can do both proficiently. What if the other Rachel starts to play a turtling/zoning Rachel? And then switches to rushdown? With characters that can do multiple things, they can react to the other player and change fight patterns to make the life of the other player harder, but switching and mixing up playstyles to account for the others' playstyle makes this match more difficult than 5-5, and thus should be considered in tier list placement, because there is the chance that you can come up against another Rachel, and that matchup will NOT be even because you don't know how the opponent plays, and you must adjust and fluctuate to where the character doesn't feel the same. An example would be Mu v Mu. This matchup is 6 - 4 Mu's favor, on whoever gets momentum first coupled in with other factors.
  12. What I've been noticing is that Mu's oki autopunishes DP, Carnage Scissors etc... and you get to do stupid damage. Like, 5D 6D 236D beats those two and you can cange the oki to hit him out of the air or to mix him up like crazy and he can't move. It's disturbing how much you shut him down.
  13. I've been playing this matchup a bunch recently and I'm going to have to change my tune on how it fares. =/ I'd say it is no worse than 4.5 - 5.5 for Ragna, but I honestly believe the matchup is in Mu's favor now. Not sure how much, but it feels like it's 5.5 - 4.5 Mu at this point, because her oki destroys his wakeup options, her pokes are better and she can do just as much damage with resets and oki. Play with this a bit more, and let me know what you guys think.
  14. I'm waiting to see this updated with all the new changes to the characters before the new patch comes out. ^_^ Should be interesting.
  15. Actually, I'm going to just post the link on the front page. Sorry for the double post.
  16. Made an awesome Mu oki tech punish setup and now I'm waiting for the Mu forums to tell me it sucks ass. They tend to tell me my ideas are shit, even though they work well.
  17. Also, did I mention you have to delay the j.6D depending on the character? Vid is uploading to youtube as we speak. Have fun! I'm waiting for you guys to tear it apart and tell me it's trash. Oh, and I didn't record this because I didn't think of it, but those combos off neutral and back tech are if they're hit while they're standing. If they get hit on crouch, do j.C land 5C 6C etc...
  18. You spike the right as they're about head height. That's where the spike needs to take place. I promise you, it's reliable and it works. I had problems with Pulsr's setup because it was too specific and unreliable on most of the cast. I have no problem with this one and it's much easier to do with more punish options.
  19. Pulsr was airdashing too low. Notice in his video how to punish back techs, he has to spike them RIGHT as they hit the ground? That's not reliable. The version I did covers all techs because you jump a little higher. Video will be up soon.
  20. I just recorded them. I'll edit them and post them soon. It's bad quality (from a digital camera) but you'll get the idea.
  21. It's actually reactable. I tested this on a computer set to random tech. The setup I found uses the exact same setup to do everything, and you can react to the sound of the laser hitting to do the j.A into what ever. It's fast, but if you've played GG, you know how to do that.
  22. I'll MM Mike. ^_^ I need to get back for you taking that round of casuals back at West Toast XII in GG. Hellmonkey can't play Pot, can he? xD
