Was toying around with training mode, and I found something fun that works on akihiko (haven't tested anyone else) Midscreen: Airthrow(CH) land 5B sweep D.Garu[2] 5C(2) 2C B.Bufu SB.Agi sweep (4767 damage) (25 SP cost) Edit: Must be as low to the ground when performing the throw. Also works on Naoto
  2. Her R-action is dumb as all hell. She can combo from it. >.>
  3. Holy shit, Koogy lives in Phoenix now? =D Also, GGs Erik. That SMP loop did way too much damage. D= It makes me sad. Also, your j.C beats my 2B so I guess I'll just have to be patient. sorry for disrespecting you so much: I just get so much more out of random hits than you so I'm gonna go for it until I die in 1.5 combos. You understand. D=
  4. I would normally agree with trying to zone him with lasers or whatever at max range, except SB.TV hones, is fast, and fatal counters. He can combo from it. If he has 25 meter, you can't zone him, but it's also a struggle to get in. He can reactively SB.TV if you Agi or Zio (recovery times/startup).
  5. Yeah, Teddie is a giant pain in the ass. My biggest issue is his SB.TV move. It hones on you so if you paralyze them full screen, you can't SB.Agi them back towards you: He'll get a SB.TV fatal counter and get a free combo from it. Bat and his 2B are the worst normals I've come across in this game. They have so much space control.
  6. He's talking about someone else, who said that landing a raw D.Garu wasn't possible unless the enemy was stupid because it was so slow.
  7. Elizabeth gets combos off her command throw in the corner. It's like, 1 frame timing though. Anyone who has any sort of zoning can beat Elizabeth in a fullscreen zone war. Agi has retarded start up and recovery, Zio has retarded recovery. Her best zoning is to 5C to the other side of the screen. xD
  8. She's mainly hard because she lacks options. Her options are to sit there and hope you get random hits in. She's easily countered by other zoning characters, her mixup is sub-par, her supers are bad (sorry) and she can't get out of pressure easily. Best comparison: She's caster from Fate/Unlimited codes, minus mixup and pressure. Once she's hit you with a combo, she can keep you pinned down forever. Until she guesses wrong once.
  9. I've noticed a few things about Elizabeth that you guys have also mentioned: - She lacks in mix up. Her best mixup is simply in her frame traps. - Her pressure is pretty terrible: If the opponent watches carefully and is patient, she can only score damage by capitalizing on mistakes. - Her zoning tools aren't something you can just throw out. They have long recovery times, so it's optimal to respond, rather than to guess. - Hit confirming off her counterhits can be difficult sometimes: 5C ground counterhit midscreen from max distance is a good example of this. - The character specific/distance specific/height specific nature of her Garu combos give her a HUGE learning curve compared to a lot of the cast. Honestly, this character is really really hard to use. Probably one of the hardest characters I've ever played. And I used to main I-No.

  14. Mmkay, I noticed that D.Garu works really well if you [9] then [3]. Still pretty hard to do. Done it at most 2 times in a row. Time to practice harder!
  15. What's the timing on D.Garu[3] combos? Is it character specific? I can't seem to get it to work at all. =/
  16. Yep. I miss her j.2C overheads, her 214A oki etc... She just feels sooooo bad compared to that. =/
  17. I have awful issues with the command intepreter, as well. It's bad. And Ray: Your reason for not playing Litchi is the reason why I can't play Rachel: She's just so awful to what I'm used to and it hurts.
  18. Hello there! So I've decided that I'm going to customize my stick with buttons, ball tops etc.... and I'd like some nice stick art to go with it. Unfortunately, I'm not personally artistically inclined, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me by making stick art for me? =D I'm thinking Earthbound. Emphasizing Paula. Any takers?

  20. The new dash allows you to put in the counter without getting hit. That was the change. xD
  21. Are they 412? They were 214 when I played her back in X. xD And since you can input counters, why not do ouren to stop 2K mash? =D or to beat pot buster. Isn't ouren safe on block?
  22. No, it'll make her dash useful now. ^_^ Her "new" (it was this move back in X) 214P counter, the spinning wheel move, is unthrowable iirc. You could dash in, use it to bait throws until they respect you, and then start doing things like command dash > 214S or whatever. Baiken looks like a lot of fun again now that tat mats don't launch Honestly, I've never been excited for Guilty Gear as much as I am to see if they've finally balanced the game.
  23. Okay, this game looks kind of ridiculous now. XD Although, those Bridget changes are fucking hot. As well as those Baiken changes. =D I can go back to playing Baiken.
  24. I play ougon. =D Also, in regards to baiting mashers and DPs, Melty teaches you how to do that mid-blockstring. So I guess it teaches you some good stuff. I just hate how prevalent mashing is in that game now.
