Oh, you guys were FFXI players too? I love you guys more now. OG BLMs represent~ We did MBs and people liked it. I would say the Platinum subforum has the lolicon den. Rachel subforum appreciates a good loli, but does not necessarily accept just any loli. We have refined tastes, so to speak.

Only good thing about .hack was the Yuki Kajiura soundtrack in .hack//sign. It made me want to play MMORPGs. Too bad the real thing is nothing like the world depicted there.

The thing I love most about playing on stick is being able to hit multiple buttons simultaneously. I cannot barrier or RC on pad without shortcuts, and I don't like using shortcuts either.

Did someone say timeloops? I love timeloops. You can imagine my joy at finding out about the fact that Rachel was stuck in a timeloop. Sounds like you need to watch more anime about timeloops. Rachel IS weird with all the talking familiars and questionable taste in shoes, but it doesn't make her any less lovable. All this P4A footage and now Melty 2.0 too. Both look really good. Anime games coming out in full force.

You mean the stuff about how American Rachels use too much wind? I sort of agree. A lot of Rachel players tend to commit too much wind on mixups that should be easy to block on reaction (i.e. winded 4b) or spend too many winds trying to combo off pumpkin but failing to get anything good out of it. This leaves you with no wind to cover summons and lobelias with pumpkin or prevents you from getting optimal combos off something like 6a CH. Also, being out of wind is basically a green light for the opponent to rush you down hard because the risk/reward ratio goes heavily into their favor. Still, it's hard to criticize because momentum is everything. Sometimes you just need to seem aggressive even if the mixups aren't strong and sometimes you just want to guarantee that pumpkin will catch them so that you don't get caught in blockstun and lose your advantage. Finally, I think they underestimated how fast wind regens. Personally, I tend to forget how fast wind regens and don't use it enough. Most of the time you still had enough wind to get stuff done even when I thought you used too much. I don't think wind conservation is as big a deal as it was in CT. tldr; We deal with American tournaments - not theoretical high-level JP play. In American tournaments, be aggressive and go for the big damage combos because American defense is terrible and they don't know the matchups.

So regarding: lv2 j.2c j.214a 1d 5cc About 1/4 the time the dummy tends to slide past the frog, activate it, but not get hit. Has anyone found a way to get that part 100% of the time? I've tried doing the combo quickly (to prevent the frog from moving too much) and slowly (to let the frog move closer before hitting 5cc), but I can't get the frog to catch the opponent consistently. It's hard to believe I used to care so much about getting good at this game. Every time I see new footage and feel like practicing hardcore again I prioritize sleep shortly after and then forget about it the next day. I guess I really have to be active in the tournament scene or have dedicated practice partners to keep up that motivation.

I played Millia. Such dirty oki setups. Anyways, it'll be nice to have a working stick to practice GG on. First time I played GG was on the Wii with a classic controller - and only because I was getting bored of 3s/mvc2/cvs2 and needed to justify my buying a Wii. Those were sad times. Loved GG though and that's why I was all over BB when it came out. Y'all should definitely pick it up or give it another shot.

Siblings? Even better. Blood-related siblings? Even better!!! So far I've gotten the ones where you kill the Iron Giant and the Giant Flan early after closing a gate. Also got the obvious one where you say "Yes" in the dream.

The thing that really impresses me about FFXIII-2 is how well Noel avoids sexual tension with Serah. The guy must be really devoted to his Rei-clone waifu. Been getting a few of the bad ends before starting the final chapter. It's a nice touch that reminds me of Radiant Historia and Chrono Trigger.

Really good combo vid. This kind of development could seriously push Rachel up a tier. It significantly improves mid-screen damage, has great corner carry, and lets you get good oki off lv2 j.2c combos. That wind you spend on doing j.214a 1d 5cc is basically free because you spend quite a bit of time grounded to follow it up. I think there's no legitimate reason not to add this into your combos if you have enough wind. Also, every single combo in that video was practical and useful. This should hit the front page (SRK's too). Just estimating but I think it gives anywhere from 500-1000 extra damage than the usual combos with better corner carry. You don't sacrifice anything to incorporate it into your game either.

I worked really hard to be the best imouto I can be!" As for whether or not intelligence is fixed, I think it is fixed. But in 95% of situations more effort would have made the difference between success and failure. The discrepancies in intelligence among people you meet in college aren't really large enough to matter except in very rare cases.
