Regarding the Starcraft side Tournament: I guess if there really is going to be one, I'm going to set a few rules for this. Things you need to bring: A headset or some set of earphones. Things that are HIGHLY recommended: A keyboardA mouseA laptop or desktop (Derrick has 6 computers, but obviously you will be playing a lot better/comfortably on your own equipment) Tournament formats: Round Robin if less than 8 people sign up.Single elimination Bo3 (Best of 3) if there's 8 or more. The Maps: Those that plan on participating in this tournament should choose 3 maps to their liking. I will use the top 3 chosen maps as part of the map pool. The maps(linked to TeamLiquid's map database) are as follows: Fighting Spirit Neo Heartbreak Ridge Neo Moon Glaive Neo Tornado Match Point The Rules: If we do a round-robin tournament, each player will get to veto one map from the map pool(3 maps). The remaining map gets played for the match. Other than this, the rules for this tournament will be the same as iccup's ladder rules There will be a dollar entry fee. If it is a round-robin tournament, winner takes all. If it is a single-elimination tourney, it will follow the 70/20/10 payoff format.

Is there actually an interest in a Starcraft side tournament? I'll decide maps if there's at least 5+ people excluding myself (I won't join if there is one).

Not safe at all, barely pushes you back, you can just punish with a normal BnB or such. Her A DP doesn't put her in a counterhit state though.
-
Not cool man, not cool. Anyways, let's get this thread back on topic, post with some questions people!
-
You heard him guys, bring your own computers.
-
Haha OBaloney told me about the air throw thing.
-
Even with THREE BBCS cabinets literally within 20 minutes away from me, I obviously haven't played the game! :V

DP that trades are top tier in Street Fighter 4, not in Blahblooooo
-
I totally agree with all of this :/

How do you guys feel about the Tsubaki vs Bang matchup? I personally feel it's the hardest matchup out of the top three.
-
Probably going to be a lot of people since it's the first ranbat, should be okay.
-
No need to test this out, it's been proven lol. So if you do a 236D or something, you're going to be in a similar mixup to post-gadget finger shenanigans. Not reliable, you would probably rather just try to anticipate what he's going to do (it's in his favor though). Also, if all else fails, gold burst lol.

High/super jump cancel the 2nd part of 6CC (when the sword shoots up from the ground). If you do it too early, you only get a normal jump. Do it too late, and they tech out.
-
X > 22D > 6CC really depends on what moves you did before the 22D. If the combo prorated too much, the second C will not land. Regarding the throw > 214B > dash 5B > 2CC > air combo, there is time to dash in between, but you won't be doing a full dash. Easier version of the throw combo (but less damage of course) is throw > 214B > 5B > hjc j.B j.C > dj.CC > j.236A > j.214C.

Stop mashing during supers like a Mahvel player.

Betting on myself to take last place.

Thanks for the info regarding this. I kept hearing B specials went through projectiles but nobody has ever really confirmed it. I'll add this onto the guide. Thanks for the ideas, I'll work on that within the next few days. I need to gather up all the info I researched and information people gave me (along with BBCS testing myself).
-
Hey guys, I'm kind of running out of ideas regarding what to put on the combo and guide threads. Anyone want to contribute some useful information (that's been confirmed of course) here? Also can someone confirm whether or not the damages in the japanese combo wiki are correct?
-
Alright guys, we don't need an entire page dedicated to "Hey I'm gonna use this color, leave it alone!". This is getting ridiculous and unreadable. Let's bring it back to normal discussion. I have something to talk about to those that have played the game. How do you guys feel about her air throw as another tool to deal with people who tend to play a really aggressive air game?
