This is interesting because I am actually having a much easier time getting Aegis stuff down than anytime I tried to learn blazblue. I also had an easier time getting combos down in guilty gear, which i played well before BB came out. I wonder if it is just the speed.

Hey achedsphinx on your aigeis combo 4 (http://youtu.be/LqhG3coSw8Q) for some reason i can get most of this consistently EXCEPT for freaking hit 2 ( the j.B ). do you find the sweep being spacing dependent? I have found it is a bit easier for me to connect j.B if i have myself as far away from the opponent as possible for the sweep to hit.

Eh, I am not a child, though my experiences with fighting games are limited. No one in my ( admittedly small ) guilty gear scene has any problems with tiers, and I have been playing Melee competitively since 2008, and I never hear anyone seriously bitching about the extremely 'gay' things you can do with certain characters in that game. I suppose when you are playing the same game that has been out since 2001 people don't whine/bitch/moan after years and years and years.

Are there really that many people who get upset about people wanting to maximize their chances of winning by using good characters :\ Oh well, not like it bothers me. If I know I am playing someone who will give me crap for playing aegis I will purposely play the cheapest day1 aegis to just anger them that much more when i win :\:\

Well I have weekends off ( more or less, every other saturday i work ), but our person with a vehicle works those days so I am not able to really go anywhere lol If you HAPPEN to live in the spring/tomball area (I am starting to believe NO ONE this north of houston plays any fighting games at all -_- )

So I got a couple more people interested. It is silly how many people have never heard of guilty gear, but I find it more interesting that as soon as they see it, they know they want this to be the game they play. I figure I'll make every other week a mini scrub tourney were we throw 5 bucks together and payout is like 60%-1st 40%-2nd, since we only have like 6 people who said they would for sure be down for weeklies ( including one who actually changed his work schedule to play on tuesdays @.@ ). I figure the idea of making some cash, or the reality of LOSING some cash should motivate everyone ( including myself ) to get better. North houston trying to keep the doctors from pulling the plug on life support.

I would like it to be continued if and when there are things to report. Obviously finding things on guilty gear is like finding water in the desert, but it is things like these that encourage a young player like myself whom just can not get into the groove of blazblue and just feels the NEED to play this wonderful game. Anything we can do to keep this game/scene alive. I hope things become atleast slightly more lively once the port happens.

Sooooo yeah, PS2/GGAC+ definitely does not recognize the default joystick on the mayflash as dpad. Hoping once I mod it, it will actually work. If not, looks like I am learning Eddie on a pad until this gets ported to XBL

I know atleast myself and one other player are VERY serious about getting better, and i suspect the others will once they see the amazingness of this game. unfortunetly i work wednesday-friday nights D:

@ Circuitous - well, I did indeed get a mayflash :B @wolfcrimson - Ahh that is a relief! I was worried either the stick i got would somehow be wrong ( despite being mayflash ) or the guide would be kinda poop, haha.
