Good discussions here. If they release burger sheriff I'm dropping Ky for him. INFINITE.BURGER.LOOPS. It's not in the same context persay, but when Overture was announced I had zero interest in it because of Ky. In fact what drew me to GG was in fact Ky, seeing all of his attacks and supers, if he's not in the game my interest drop significantly. I love GG on a whole but his playstyle as well as his personality and etc makes me want to play more with him. You could even give Sin his moveset, I probably still wouldn't play GG as much as I do now. When I found out that KY was in fact in Overture (and looked even more badass than ever) I was then determined to get an xbox and the game. I knew I had to unlock him to be able to play as him, so when I get the game I focused on beating campaign mode. And I only really enjoyed one mission in campaign mode, mission 13 with him and the last mission (final boss stage). Otherwise the enjoyment of the game for me was subpar, but once I unlocked him I played the game feverishly. Now my opinion has changed as I now sub Ky, whereas before I was a one character specialist. I'v since found Sol almost as fan as Ky to play, I know there is no way I'd be as excited for xrd if only Sol, my sub, was the only character I could play. But I would still deal with it, a new GG is a new GG and I rather have a new one now than waiting 2 more additional years for them to release their first revision with my main. I'd wait for him/her and play Sol for fun in the mean time. I most def understand both sides of this issue but be happy, that unlike Capcom, waiting 7+ years does not necessarily mean your beloved series is canceled. ArcSys is putting in that work for us who still played the series, I'm just lucky I main the deuteragonist of the series lol. Years ago when Overture dropped, if Ky wasn't in the game and I already had an xbox I wouldn't have bought the game, but now I'd say I'd buy the game for the sake of others and supporting the company I'd buy Overture, at least I can have fun with a character I almost enjoy as much as Ky. Besides Mugen plays Xrd, and we all know he won't be seeing his main in 3d anytime soon. But he's still actively playing and taring shit up with his nasty neutral game he got from playing Bridget. To me, that says a lot.

There's no matchup chart from what I recall, and yes it is I'd say. Ky's gotten a lot stronger, and Potemkin hasn't really gotten anything but nerfs for the most part, blame FAB for that.

^With that said, I still think Sol is slightly better than Ky. Everything else in the tier lists makes sense to me.

I thought it was a prototype too, but with it appearing on srk today, I'm starting to think that's the way it's going to be sold... The art is awesome, but I hate the shape of it (it's a bloody block shape) and I hate sticks with slopes like that where your hands go, I find it uncomfortable, I don't like the angle in which the buttons are placed (slight semi-circle, which is not how Madcatz place their buttons and I'm used to their sticks), and finally it's like $361, wtf?!!! It's nice but not that nice lol. Real talk if they put the sanwa art on the madcatz stick, I might fuck with that. But it being so bland when they USF4 art is so dynamic, I'm kinda disappointed lol.

Characters don't generally change that much, people are too concerned with iterations. Overall for instance, Ky and Chipp won't really be changing their gameplans against matchups like Potemkin and Slayer. Regardless of whether or not Chipp has Fubuki and wall cling, or if Ky has full screen lightning bolts. You'll always have to properly space your pressure against Potemkin properly otherwise you'll eat a back dash into Potemkin Buster, and getting hit by Dead on Time in any iteration of GG is a bad idea so you always want to wear away Slayer's meter by constantly pressuring him. Just play ACR, besides Xrd Chipp takes a lot from his ACR iteration except he's even stronger than he is in ACR, where he's A tier. Just play the version which has the most players/competition.

The TE2 looks nice but with all that awesome Daisuke art, you'd think the faceplate would have a nice artistic design like pretty much all their other arcade sticks. Like the only way you know it's GG is because it has the GG Xrd logo, usually they ave character art on the sticks that make it look awesome and a worth while purchase. Somewhat disappointed honestly, but I'm more concerned with it working how I want ti to then it being pretty. Oh well...

Anyone knows; a man dedicated to the good of the people/civic world, cannot be a fully dedicated father as well. You have to make a choice, many great men who've stood up to defend their people/country lost out on fatherhood. Dizzy understood this well, and still continued to support him despite his uncertainty, he didn't even want to enter the political realm, it was Dizzy and Sol who encouraged him to do it. Ky simply made the best of the worst situation, by sending Sin off to be taken care of by the one man he trusts the most, Sol. And so far, from Sin's gameplay and the fact that he acknowledges his Kiske last name now, Sin seems to be turning out well. EDIT: Could someone tell me what Ky's arcade victory quote is when he beats Sol, I think he's saying something about Sol's latent powers being unharnessed???

I never said Ain wasn't. just that Machaboo really shows off what Ky is capable of compared to Ain is all. Ain's still an amazing player. Speaking of which, his sets in casuals shows he's really leveled up in Xrd. Maybe the fact that you can cancel specials would allow his dp to be safe, by either canceling it into another safer special on block or convert ti into a combo on hit or CH. Just a thought, using my exp with Hakumen when it comes to this sort of thing.

I really doubt elk hunt will go under projectiles, the hit box is even bigger than kys stun dipper, which isn't a low profile move. Unless they give elk hunt upper body invincibility like grand viper. Which I also doubt, because Sin's midrange pressure/attacks don't require him a whole lot to get in at point blank range where he's not as effective.

@TB, I'm gonna sound like an ass but does that local Ky of yours actively play GG? He was doing some strange things and hanging himself a lot through your set. Almost no CAs, wayyy too many greed severs, no use of 6p and 2hs to AA among other things I saw quickly. EDIT: @2:44

@Dai, Chipp's damage is actually pretty good, it may not be Sol/Ky levels, but his damage is decent and pretty damn good in the corner thanks to double alpha blades into oki, or even command grab into alpha blade. I think that also contributes to him being such a strong character, still funny almost no one plays him because of his speed and defense lol.
