Keep in mind that if you get GG for the xbox, and you live in Canada you must create an american account just to download the stupid free patch update. I'm just glad we're getting Xrd next month and at least we have some way of playing ACR so wtv.

Cool, I might actually play the game again. No I haven't sadly, too poverty status. Did Gabe contact you about ordering the game? Thanks and I think you're referring to 2d/2s. Ky's 2d has HUGE range honestly. And ballerina slash (3hs) is an awesome oki tool since there's very few frames you can use wake up reversals on it. At least it'll be in EVO in the first place. -

GGs as well Nolan, great matches. You should make more use of mappa punch on neutral dandy step as a means of getting in close, and sporadic cross dandy step>pilebunker was really smart and should be used more in proximity to the corner so that you can hitconfirm off of them. And you did you a good job finishing your combos this time around, that teleport pressure is too strong lol. -
Screencap it and post it as your sig. And Homura, your post literally made me laugh outloud. I think at this point you might as well cave and just buy the game. ArcSys officially fucked up the release of GGAC (more so ACR) on both xbox and ps3. We won't be seeing proper release of the free patch update anytime soon, if not at all.

Combos aren't so much of the issue for me it's about understanding how to use this characters tools effectively and knowing how to use him properly. I'm to playing characters that emphasize screen control, so playing a character that has a very in-your-face is a huge hurdle for me personally.

So I'm finally getting to the point in ACR where I'm looking into my sub again, Sol. My good friend who plays Sol is a horrible instructor even though he plays a competent Sol. So are there any long time competent Sol players besides VR (whom I harass like crazy already) that can teach me how to play this character effectively. I want to learn how to main protagonist people into victory. P.S preferably you're located in the upper eastern coast as possible.

I'm pretty sure you can grab someone out of their Blitzshield if they mistimed it, so that's a draw back. They never said it catches grabs, and you lose 25% meter if it is mistimed as well, which is another big deal with how important tension is in GG. I think that's good enough for Blitzshield, I'm already salty that SB almost makes Ky's 3hs useless when he just got it back. -

Wow, I know Eddie is impossible to play on pad, my cousin is learning him and, after about 5-10 minutes he told me to give him a stick. But either because his execution is strong or because he plays Arakune he was able to adjust to how Eddie works. Using Eddie on neutral, from what can see is where he can be a turn off with all those buttons you have to hold at different times to use both him and little Eddie is what makes him hard. My cousin didn't have as hard of a time doing his combos at least in training mode. I can see now why some are turned off by I-no, already comboing and FRC's are a big issue and learning curve with each character, let alone having to adjust all of these things on the fly with such inputs seems like a huge hurdle to overcome. Thanks for the write up I'm glad I stuck with Ky the moment I saw him, I've come to realize GG has some extremely ridiculous characters to use amongst its cast members. -

The revamping of the RC system, removal of mechancis such as FB's and slashback among other things, is a clear indication of the game becoming more simplified. It's been covered in depth by elvenshadow already. Could you clarify what you mean by "tutorialized" exactly? Also, I don't get it, is i-no harder than Eddie/Zato, I thought he was the hardest character to use. I knew I-no isn't, but I didn't know her execution was/is a barrier for players... -

To be honest I don't really quite get how the new RC system works, but I'm sure by the time the game will be out in Japan for a few weeks I'll get a better understanding of it. if not someone will be able to provide a thorough tutorial on how it works. -

My bad was on auto-pilot, RT=Riot Stomp when I wrote it, should've put RS or just riot stomp. But yeah, that move is looking significantly better than what it used to be. I can't remember is fafnir gets any changes while Sol's in D.I though. -

CSE FRC glitch always did the job, and it's not integral to his playstyle nor moveset to be honest with you. The only truly useful moves he got were his FB's, except FB greed sever, and lightning javelin. To be honest I kinda hate how they balanced AC>ACR, "let's just basically add more FB's and FRC's to the game, making the game even more complicated than it already was!!" GV in Xrd is the old GV, the one in AC is the new one that they only put in this iteration fo GG. The old one was shitty (from my limited knowledge of Sol pre-AC), RT is new and improved. But GV is the old terribly unsafe on block one, is the one you see in Xrd. -

Where as Ky is more spacing/footsie zoning oriented as a jack of all trades, he has more emphasis on screen control in his design than Jin, while Jin is made to be more offensive and in your space. Jin doesn't rely on ice swords like how Ky does for stun edge. With Ky's new gameplay design he's even more centered around screen control than before. Kinda excited about it to be honest, I just wish his dp would catch low profile moves >3> I honestly don't see why they won't do that, if they've done it once, and it worked why not do it for more of their games? -

Dogura, Hase, En, Niga, and Tsujikawa are the strongest Slayer players I've seen. Though if I had to rank them; 1. Hase 2. Dogura 3. Tsujikawa 4. Niga 5. En You should not have just "heard of Dogura" you should be watching him, his command of Slayer is amazingly terrifying. In that match he literally shut down Roz's Ky. Hase's Slayer I think is the best though, but doesn't play ACR as much. But he did qualify and got through a few rounds of Arc-Revo. -

*That Slayer player* is Dogura, your Slayer/Azrael God. I'm surprised you don't pray to him at night already. Dogura's spacing is superb, the only person that really gives a hard time when it comes to getting in is N-O. That Ky player is Roz, one of the best Ky's since at least AC. OHHH, HK= H.ong K.ong xD And yeah I remember reading that somewhere, so does that mean I can only play the game from my JPPSN account and I can't use my main one to play the game? -

It's pretty clear we'll see Ogawa based on the loketests. But I'm hoping for players like Machaboo, N-O, Shounen (if Testament gets in that is), 012, PC, Kaqn, Buppa, Hase, Niga and Isa. That would be awesome, I don't know any of the top players for Axl, but I hope they return too. -

Much appreciated everyone. Can't wait to get back to Foonzo, been using this downtime to work on my skills as a player. HK account? Yea I have a japanese account, I even bought Freedom gundam DLC. I fucking love him, makes the game 10x better and more fun. But I need training sessions to level up my game, I'm not quite good enough and still rely on Gabe to win, I want to rely on my own skills.
