  4. I thought it would really help out his neutral pressure game just as it did for him AC>ACR. Since it allows how to extend his pokes, get grab damage off hits, and maintain pressure outside of gunflame. It looks like it'll be absolutely terrifying in DI, since it does 3 hits. Does anyone else think you can combo off of DI GV without the use of meter?
  5. Any 3k recommendations that fall into my mid-long range/all around playstyle for both vanilla and Fullboost? If enough people are playing GG I MIGHT pass through.
  6. I'm certain it's the same, my #R days were unorthodox and scrubby, I'm sure someone oldschool can confirm it. But it's always been mashable and I'm certain the manner in which you mash has always been the same. Your Sol mod, and my friend both play competent Sol's on pads, and they get it out. You just need to put more tamashii into it. Have you watched VR's GV tutorial? EDIT: What's the #R, Slash frame data for Fafnir? I don't see much Sol's using it to get in close or to maintain pressure, is the static difference bad or are they unaware of its uses?
  7. Wow thanks awesome. 3hs definitely is faster than it looks, neutral is better than slightly minus on block, so that's fair. I think split ciel can be used in block strings after a 6hs. The static difference of a meaty 6hs, at least in or near the corner, should give you enough time to set up a grinder in front of them with split ciel. That move is also faster than it appears. Having a grinder in front of your opponent should create terrific mind games. Can dc SE, blow through low level projectiles like gunflame and stun edge? With the matches I've watched I'm certain 3hs is to serve as a replacement for Ky's AC 6hs, a combo filler normal, that also is good in occasional block strings to catch people off guard. I saw it catch someone jumping, so I'm sure it can do the same to backdashes if timed properly. Wow, even dc sacred edge? @FAB/Potemkin, it seems that potemkin is an entirely different compared to how he used to play for these last 7 years. That's the reason people are struggle with him so much. How does FAB and other Pot players feel about him? Thanks for the info again.

Wow there MUST be a way for me to watch this archive, because it seems he just came on when I gave up on seeing a competent Ky at the Mikado stream :/ Anyways watch this and tell me he's not the Ky God: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0KsyAUTWo0 Along with the ACR Same Character 3 on 3 tournament, specifically his Ky team vs team Kliff, Dizzy, and ABA where he OCV'd everyone while not using any of Ky's ACR tools, and played it like it was vanilla AC.
  14. So THIS is the infamous Ky player everyone was constantly mentioning... Faith, from my understanding played more like Ain, very strong neutral game a bodied by doing a whole lot of nothing. This Ky player actually reminds me more of Machaboo, with his aggressive spacing. If he air grabbed a lot I would've said it was for sure Machaboo, since he throws people out of the air with his French aerial grabs. She's not playable (yet), she only appears as a last boss for certain characters, Sol and Ky. You'll have some time to wait before you see her becoming playable in my opinion.

I asked because I feel the move was given to Ky has a replacement for his AC 6hs, where if timed right in the middle of block strings could allow you to combo off opponent's backdashing, if you read them right. I'm unaware of the uses of Johnny's 6k honestly. Is that how Johnny's 6k is supposed to be used? Yes it never looked safe at all but a Split Ciel after it's been successfully blocked might be a good idea. I saw there are a lot of potential mind games with a grinder being placed in front of your opponent after a block string. With CSE disappearing now if Ky gets hit, DC's still remain even if he's hit. If it plus or 0, the mind games can begin... Cool, how good is RTL at eating projectiles btw, like can it go through Tyrant Proton Cannon? Sounds safe to say also Sol probably can't 2d/GV under dc CSE and dc sacred edge. Awesome thanks a lot

  20. Needs more Faust, but awesome quality. It's Ain, I'm wondering where Machaboo, my Ky God, is at... I thought you were linking to something Axl related lol. I doubt the the more complex will remain that way. Millia's combo system is completely changed, and these are combos she's been using for years. Tandem Top seems it has a clearly longer startup time, so I don't know what Millia players are supposed to use in it's place. But I feel her combo routes are the main issue at the moment. Venom is already coming along by just figuring out his new combo routes, and they haven't even properly learned his ball setups. So I have faith the cast will flesh out well. Hell, Ky players don't even use 3hs and DC's lol. Goes to show how much things are still left to be figured out in the game. What new potential oki tools did Millia get besides her Rose install? I was wondering if someone could explain this to me as well.

  22. Ky looks like they remodeled him to make use of Durandal Calls during neutral and offense. I looks like doing Split Ciel on neutral is a lot safer and faster at getting out a Grinder Seal, correct me if I'm wrong. Back during loketests, Split Ciel actually looked pretty useful as a pressure tool coupled with Ky's new 3hs, is it still the case? How is 3hs, is it unsafe on block? It looks like it's made to catch back dashes, and maybe jumps? Could you check if this is possible? Dc stun edge on block looked slightly safe as well back during the last loketest, could you check to see if that is still the case? Also I noticed on the latest a-cho, dc sacred edge wallpins, maybe you might find that useful for corner combos. That might turn out to be useful. j.RTL, wallpins are there any heights that allow it to be comboed off of without additional meter? Also in your opinion, why do you think Day 1 Faust is so strong? EDIT: Can Faust crawl under DC's, specifically dc sacred edge and dc CSE?

  24. If she does it in the corner you're not avoiding shit. Saw that in Sol's arcade mode. Lol @ Day 1 frets and worries. Ky and Sol will be the best characters until people learn to play the game, especially with their characters. I'm most interested in what FAB figures out with Zepp's Science, Heat Knuckle nerf and 2s nerf really changed how he's going to play.
