be ready to punish air to air pressure strings like jc>j2c, because you can jd in the middle of that block string. Be sure to also 6d if she goes for 5c>6c in the middle of her pressure, and if you have 4 stars, you can IB her 6c>Shippu her for CH or simply yukikaze if she's going 5c>6c as well. If she also often autopilots quick swords of destruction, you can 2d that for sadness. If you see her trying to zone you with steins, your best friend in jc, a lot of Hakumens don't know how to deal with her pressure and try to catch her with other normals. But air dash and jc is very strong and will most likely lead to a CH knockdown. That's all I can think of, I haven't played this matchup in a while.

Sol's 5k The Movie: The Game, guesting staring 5b and Volcanic Viper. -
<3 It's times like this I wish that hakumen's corner combos didn't give me carpel tunnel. So I could play more. I don't really bother to go for meterless mixup against Ragna, Rachel, Jin. Since they can slap the shit out of me at any time. I make use of kishuu more than anything else, I haven't seen any xbl players use jb for mixup really. I'll do jb shit if I want to see if you'll mash me out of it. But, make mostly uses hotaru/air resets as pressure with occasional tsubaki's, I mostly use 6b and kishuu for my pressure. I don't know what everyone else does.

Which is why with Hakumen you need to have good defense, and spacing. As the games have gone on, he can take more initiative to changing the pace of a matchup, but he still benefits from you making mistakes in the end. It's difficult to crack people open with good defense and don't mash.
-
^That's like saying give Ky a command grab, or Ragna a command grab (not referring to mada owari de wa nai zo). 6b breaks primers and in cp it's even stronger than ever before. So I don't see what the problem is. And Nolan, who are you referring to, Brice or Kaeru?

Shoutouts to Jin's 6a, Hakumen's 6b, and especially kishuu. I can't believed I actually played this game. Shoutouts to Ky's jk and last minute Baiken punishes just when you let go of block. -
NIGGA IT'S COLD OUTSIDE. It everyone has florida weather at this time of the year. This.

6c is a more effective punishing tool than ever before as well, just saying.

@dreize, he's your main ofcourse you have a reason to respond. Kirbster calling out Hakumen as being dumb got me to post :p Also they "nerfed" his mixup game. He still has insane katame and almost impossible mixup/pressure. He's mostly hurt in the damage area. it's quite funny that regardless of how they nerfed him in every game, he's never sucked yet. Back on Hakumen, I doubt he'll go back to his cs2 status, because the developers know where they're going with him same with Rachel. And I personally feel that they did an excellent job with Hakumen considering how they revamped him so much from his ct-csex template, to something new entirely. usually characters end up sucking, HARD, when developers do this but he turned out to still be very strong.
-
This. And Hakumen has more offensive versatility compared to his CSEX version, but he's more akin to Baiken now. Who people (like myself) complain about regardless and she has good matchups due to her defensive solutions because of that. So long as Hakumen players must give fucks I can't consider him a "dumb character", he doesn't have blindly abusive tools. You don't see people throwing out random agitos anymore because it's a waste of a star, and you don't regularly see 9k OD combos either. And kirbster, because you sub Hakumanz I thought you'd know better than to say he's dumb. Yes he has certain dumb tools (kishuu, jb), but you can't just throw those moves out whenever you want and 90% of the time you'll win. Oh yea, and apart from Hakumens AA being safe on block, it still sucks. Make that shit a traditional AA, like Ragna's and we can talk. But beggars can't be choosers since he didn't have one for a while.

I feel like an ass for asking but whose Jason? -
No one is saying he isn't really strong. But dumb is a strong term, I could accuse Rachel's 6a being dumb because you can do it multiple times and it cannot be contested by any normals. Dumb is vanilla mvc3 wolverine. Hakumen is nowhere near there, yes he's incredibly strong with answers to everything/everyone. But he can't do whatever he wants whenever he wants. You'd find me hard pressed to ever say my characters suck. I'm more prone to say they're strong. My way of seeing if a character sucks or not is my time learning that character in proportion to other players/characters playing the same game as well as my characters options in a match. I hate tager and lambda, because they force me to play outside of my/hakumen's typical comfort zone. I'm slightly more predisposed to remember my loses, but I'll make so that I'm exposed to my wins more so I know I'm unfree. But still remember to go over my loses to remove any form of freeness. This is very true. Valk is still S? I thought he dropped to A.

Good/Strong is different from dumb. marvel top-tiers are dumb. Dumb is when you can give zero fucks at almost all times. When you have really good rewards for the actions/decisions you take it just means your character is good or strong, or whatever synonymous word you'd like to use. I used to think the same way, then I started playing GG again. This changed my mind, it's probably the best direction they could've gone with him especially with the overarching direction they're going with the series. If you take a look at Baiken in GG you'd understand what I'm taking about. After facing Baiken, who is also a defensive character in a high paced 2d fighter, and compare her AC version to CSEX Hakumen and CP Hakumen. You'd understand what I mean, and considering at this point in the game now he's not autopilot, but I'll admit easier to use, but he's not overtly autopilot either. He has a lot more offensive tools to take initiative in a matchup, even against tager for once, and players need to be on their toes more in order to exploit your adversaries defensively than ever before. How on earth is CSEX Hakumen stronger than CP Hakumen? o_O Depending on your reactionary skills he can get SIGNFICANTLY more damage off counters as well. I don't understand how people don't check their inboxes and what not. There's a bright notification when you enter dustloop lol. EDIT: there's more points I could say about Baiken and Hakumen but I'll wait to see what everyone's thoughts are first.

Foonzo should just play Holy Orders (II, III and the Soundbox Remix) on repeat all day tomorrow so everyone's happy. -
Clearly I must be playing the game wrong since I can't autopilot a win against Rachel. Hakumen is far from dumb.
-
This looks pretty accurate. But I'd place Azrael in Savage tier with how much he holds back. But it could change based on the game's storymode. And with the revelation about Bang's weapon I'd place him in Carnage, but prior to cp I'd put him in Zero.
