  1. Raw OD on wake up can get blown up by 2a, I've only seen ti useful when a Hakumen used it on wake and the bang went for a command grab.
  2. When's the frc point on lightning bolt, is it hard doing it multiple times? I think that'll be the first thing I'll do in R with training mode, just do lightning bolt x 4, just because. Also Ky has two lightning javelins correct s and hs, is it possible to hit them with a lightning bolt after the s lightning javelin?
  3. ... Certain characters with awkward movements can't really help that, Hakumen and Hazama. Hakumen's jump loop(s) are a lot more interesting to me as opposed to AD x n. Especially since they don't apply really in the corner. His combos system has roughly remained the same since his introduction into the series, God Bless Zakiyama. What? I don't recall seeing him getting 3k off 5a personally. Yup. Again I don't recall this in matches.
  4. ... Exactly. Really? It did pretty hefty damage for a Bang combo I find. I actually like their new combos system in CP. ArcSys games, not sure about P4U though, are always littered with loops (not that I hate them). So I like their new combos system since it requires you to be creative with your combos rather then just chalk it up to a loop x n. Wait, what? Awesome news debating if I really want to preorder toe game now that I have a ps3. It's not a game breaking glitch, so yea I agree with you. You mena how expensive the game is?
  5. That's what I was thinking along the lines of. Hakumen at least can make it hard to summon coupled with ability to negate her oki negates his somewhat lack of mobility. Which is Azrael doesn't necessarily have, unless they buff gustav. Other than that I'm really impressed with how they handled Azrael in his first iteration of the game, the last time we had a character like Azrael was Hakumen in CT, who was incomplete. Similar in the sense of close range fighters with limited mobility and ranged options.
  6. Will do. I was just caught off guard by how effective growler was in those situations. This I've noticed though I wouldn't list Ragna and Rachel as slightly advantageous matchups for him from what I've seen.
  7. While I can't remembers how Unl. Arakune works, it seems that Arakune himself need sot use more ambiguous physical attacks when trying to open Azrael during curse mode, since he'll just eat his curse time, literally. Which is find is what the opposite has been when pressure Hakumen when he has Yukikaze on deck, since it's better to try and pressure him with insects and/or mix it up with physical normals since he doesn't want to waste Yukikaze on insects so Arakune can dodge. Have there been any other noticeable matchups in Azrael's favour?
  8. I might as well start looking at updating this fossilized thread since we won't be getting CP for a hella long time. To be honest the new dustloop formatting for the video threads makes updating it more troublesome, one slight error when posting them in the first post and you fuck up the entire thread. Not QQ'ing, just expressing myself so having clear lists of matches makes it easier for me to update it I rather not spend an hour of my time just to add 10 matches (which has happened before). With that said, lets make the Hakumen forums more lively minna-san. :D
  9. Even within North America and Europe, BB sold more on ps3 than xbox if I remember correctly. You have to keep in mind the demographics of those who bought ps3 and those who bought xbox. Namely the pad lay out is a HUGE deterrent for purchasing any fighter on the xbox unless you're just weird (mAc chaos and nini heart) or play on stick (almost everyone who plays this game at this point on xbl uses stick from what I can see).
  10. I'm referring to North America, I've been seeing a lot of people assuming they won't release the game on Xbox internationally. With that said, it's a huge waste of money for these companies to release their games on xbox in Japan , hence why games like Metal Gear Rising were only released on ps3 in Japan and Konami intends to maintain this status quo with their games. I expected the same from ArcSys, since they need as much money as they can get. And Ryuusei, Kuresu, A92, Tenchi, etc. are not going to be paying their bills since they're such a small demographic who play fighters or games period on Xbox in Japan.
  11. No one is going to buy a ps3 this late in the game just to be able to play blazblue, they'll only alienate their fans by doing that.
  12. It's the first time I'm watching Arakune vs Azrael, it seems that it's a tricky matchup for Arakune due to growler field similarly to how Zanshin/Yukikaze gives him s hard time.
  13. No 4c still sucks, it just has a gimmick of cancelling it now. Though with 4 stars now, 4c>shippu is fairly potent in the neutral game when the opponent is low on health.

  20. Obviously, he was incomplete and no one really plays like him in FG's so there's no playstyle reference. But I said his combos were easy, not that playing him was autopilot. I think he's easier because we played him for so long, CT hakumen is truly mind numbingly easy i.e grab>guren>6c>shippu, and *starter*>kishuu/enma>j2c>2c>j2c>AD>j2c He's execution and "lack of autopilot" playstyle (which is usually in top tiers) didn't encourage tier list players to gravitate towards him. If you remember in early jp vids, there were Hakumen players who were playing him because he's "s", but they were all ass since you need to dedicate time to play him, something which is also uncommon in "top tiers". Which is why they all gravitated towards Ragna (not that they faired very well with him either), since Valkenhayn I would say is even harder than Hakumen to play effectively with. I'm content with the way he plays, just not content with BB's FG engine at the moment and find it bland, Hakumen himself is very difficult to balance, but you need to give ArcSys credit for completely revamping this character and still allowing him to be relevant at high level play. He could've been completely ass in this version of the game. It's funny how the other 6 Heroes (except Plat) have remained as one of the best characters in each game. And there is such thing as "hard combos" there's a reason why we have terms such as "bnb's", it's because you have go to simple combos that anyone can pick up with enough effort, like Hakumen's grab combos. HIs typical full screen corner carry combos however are intermediary, and if you invest in the combos that Chin and A92 were doing at the end of CSEX, you'll know they are more advanced since his typical bnb's.
