Who wants to take up Thanksgiving this year? I can stay awake/out longer this time since my store is opening at a reasonable hour instead of crap in the morning!

Champ lookin' like a Nascar driver, there. They look like thy're having fun, I like it.

I believe so! We haven't started talking about it, yet, but no sense breaking the tradition. Maybe we could do it in Cookeville this time? It's been awhile since we had a party over there.

I, regrettably, must be absent this weekend from our event on the 28th. Work johns. I've already placed both Jackie and M'Ellis in charge of running things. I hope it doesn't need to be said, but listen to them. Setups are key, folks. I'm sorry I have to miss our first Flat Venue event, but if you want to play a game, make sure there are ample setups.

Yessir. Details at the bottom of the opening post. Ooh, I should really edit that. No one really plays Tag, anymore, and there's Gear.

For something completely different. As we all know, Evo 2014 got announced: http://shoryuken.com/2013/09/15/evo-2014-announced-lvh-casino-xbox-360/ As of right now, is anyone planning to go, or are you going to wait for a game list to appear? Anyone have any hopes for what would be in the lineup?

When I said that, it was much after your remarks. I'm aware that my twitter is checked.

I really want to let all this go, but I can't get over it when something like this is said in a modest post: when earlier you say stuff like I wonder if you expect me to not be offended. Especially when you've blown up over something tentative. When it was a "Hey, guys, what do you think?" question. Again, it was a question and wasn't conclusive on what we were running and you've gotten this irate and made all those comments both on the forum and i'm sure privately conversing with others over something that you could have simply said, "I think we should still run Persona." Also, i'm happy that you guys read my twitter, but it seems you read that one tweet from the wrong perspective. I'm quite content to vent on Twitter before I do it here, though. Though, to answer your issue about entrants, I count more heads willing to play AoSX than P4U and Klein said it pretty well. Even though it's not about Suguri and Suguri didn't replace Persona in that tentative list I put, KOF replaced it. But again, that was all tentative. Persona is being run alongside the other games and we have a new format that will (probably)(hopefully) completely eliminate money johns so none of that matters, anyway. For this comment, and this really goes for everyone, not just Star. Middle Tennessee Needs Gaming has never been completely about fighting games. Sometimes I think everyone forgets that. We aren't about fighters, though that's what we play the most of definitely. If we were, we wouldn't celebrate Jackie's victories in Spelunky, M'Ellis' Diva endeavors, or half the community's League shenanigans. The tournament we have monthly isn't about fighting games, either, though again that's what it has predominantly featured. It's about versus games. Competing. And even deeper, it's about helping and nurturing each other's growth as a group of close friends. In closing, I hope this Flat Venue Fee format will work. It'll definitely increase entrants across all games we decide to play, so it'll help out the people that would play a game if they didn't have to "pay" for it, but if it inflates bracket size by what I fear, then it's going to put a strain on time. BADC finished at around midnight, right? cause a lot of people were like "Why not?" and we don't have that kind of luxury.

This game doesn't have your mentioned issue.
-
This is the only thing you meant to ask, the rest is angry words so i'll reply to this: It was initially left off because I hear very often that only three people play it competitively nowadays in this group. Like I mentioned in the BADC stream, yesterday, I realized that this is the monthly before KotB2 so it should be the three main games that are featured in the regional. I'll change the OP (which was never updated because everything was tentative) to reflect this in an hour or so. Sounds good to me if it sounds good for everyone else. This would remove most money objections from the monthlies. Suguri could be a regular legit competitive thing in Tennessee, but <lots of reasons that would make people upset>. To that, KotB2 will probably be its last event unless it's requested, and it'll stay in the September lineup because September is the month before October, which is King of the Bling 2, and all the games featured in that month will be featured in this month, Persona will be added back in as I mentioned above, because people need to practice their games.

I don't run more games because I hear MTNG has money issues very often, usually from the Cookeville side. If this isn't the case, I'll gladly run more games cause yeah I could definitely fit more into a regular monthly Saturday, provided people are on time arriving. Depending on bracket size we can fit four or five... Mayyybe six games. If brackets are very small and it's just gonna be round robin everything then we could fit even more. It just depends how many games everyone wants to juggle and participate in. Talking about the monthly in September. CP won't be out then, unfortunately.
