I liked it. I agree Hazama could be better portrayed but it was a very amusing read. Keep going!

I am not going argue opinions versus statistical facts(percentage of wins) but Volpe is correct in his analysis it really is pretty much 6-4 white. And yes that's not fair and I'm allowed to not like it. You guys will bicker about anything even remotely matchup related. =V Ohhhhh yeeeaaaah!
-
Chess is actually a little different. Chess is not fair. White always has an advantage because it goes first and there's no compensation for it. Being able to move your piece first is a big deal. That being said, I haven't played it terribly much, but the times that I have against the people that I have(no one established), it was fun and I came out on top usually.

Finally got around to making mine. I actually lost my list of achievements, it was on my other computer and died with it. This is what I remember: To reiterate, I was the best Xyrho player in Survival Project, a kMOBA, and rapidly moving toward best overall skill until they shut it down. It was a lot of fun and I understood the game rather well. For a time I was the dominant LostMagic player, a cool little magic DS Game where you drew your rune combinations to cast different spells and you could take up to 3 packs of monsters with you. My rival was a guy named "Mara" and when I finally took him down, and then consistently trounced everyone else on the internet, I felt so accomplished. After shifting the popular spell/monster combination metagame four times, I moved on. Mara and I became buddies and we went on to do neat things together including take a couple time trials in Battalion Wars Wii. I've told the story about my racing games. I'm sure my records in all the ones I played are long gone by now, but i'll always hold firm that I'm the best Outrun 2 player, especially after my trip to Canada's Playdium. Every multiplayer, turn-based, grid-layout, Strategy game that i've played(over fifteen) i've gotten to the top of the charts, gotten bored, and quit. No joke. It's incredibly easy for me to outplay people in these types of games. Also, on DS, I wasn't the best in Custom Robo Arena but I was a top player and definitely the most proficient user of the Twin Fang Gun as a main weapon. Games i'd take any money match in: Tin Pin Slammer Bust-A-Move Acceleration of Suguri X Edition ______________ Fourth game I always forget until I see it again.

CURIOSITY TIME. Out of complete wonder, I've been thinking of our gaming achievements. If we can have this discussion without starting any hissy fits of "no you weren't": What games or positions have you legitimately been considered 'the best' in? This is not a brag session, I'm not asking for hella boasts. Interested in the skinny of "this is what I've become great at." Example: Jackie is sleeper OP at Spelunky and almost has the speed run record. Example: M'Ellis comes from high level FPS background but I don't know enough of those accomplishments if he was the best at anything. Example: Astaroth might be the best Worms player. =D Example: Papstr or Kain for Touhou For me, I've been the legitimately best Xyrho(character) player in Survival Project USA before they took it down. For a short time, I was the dominant LostMagic player on DS Those are two quick examples, I'm on my phone. I'll post the real list (I've kept track cause stuff) when I get back to my comp.

Who's coming to fight night at Kaos Theory? I know M'Ellis and I are, Star is celebrating his first Friday off at KT. Who else? Guilty Gear! Persona! Doujin games!
-
Oh, oops. It was super early and I read it wrong. That's my bad. D=
-
Four characters, mainly. Mitsuru, Narukami, Chie, and Aigis. Good work! We need more Sukucombos that have the transform in the middle.
-
Uhh.. Jackie or Star, please PM me the password for the MTNGNetwork youtube. I've gone and forgotten it. I've texted most of you the details, but we'll be having our MTNG monthly, since we can't go to Civil War. It'll be held at Kaos Theory on April 20th and will feature Guilty Gear, Persona, and probably one or two other games. The hype thing is we'll have TEAM TOURNAMENTS! State vs. State? 3v3? 5v5? Who knows! More details when I have them, but the fees are going to be the same that you're all used to. 10 venue, 5 entry. Don't forget to register for UFGT9, that happens in May.
-
Now if only we had oki setups that don't get beat midscreen by not teching...
-
No prob. I forgot to mention that you'll also want to use 5DD and j.D more as an oki and approach tool. I don't see a whole lot of that going on in your example video. =O

I don't have damage values this time. Apologies. You can Mirage Slash OMC to make it safe, obviously, but you can also OMC to get a combo going that does more damage than tacking on a Garudyne. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2C, B Run, Moonsault x2, D Knives is gonna be the most damage and you might even get a frame trap to a Fatal Counter. Probably the best option, but you need to be quick on the 2C. If they bounce on the floor, the untechable time from 2C decreases. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2B, 2C, Air Combo is the easiest one to do and doesn't fall that far behind in the damage department. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2A, 5AAAA if you get poor spacing. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2A, 2B, 5C, EX Run (B Run if you're in corner) Moonsault x2, D Knives if you wanna waste even more meter. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 5B, 2B, Air Combo also works. There's lots of variants, like you can get 2A, 2B, Air Combo in there too. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2B, 2C OMB, B Run, Moonsaultx2, D Knives, Garudyne is cute. -j.2C, [6]OMC, 2B, 2C, Sukukaja, 2C > Sukucombo of your choice is also pretty cute. Don't forget Guymam's Hitconfirm, Sweep, [6]OMC, 2C, B Run off of poor spacing midscreen if you really need that B Run. Oh and 2Ax2, 2B, 5B, 5C, 2C, A Run, C Knives works in corner only. Midscreen, the knives will drop. -2Ax3, 2B, 5B, 5C, 2C, A Run does 1358 -2Ax3, 2B, 5B, Sweep, A Run C Knives does 1325 Someone find some sweet stuff off of j.D if you can get anything different. It's a badass starter, does 800 damage and only 100 P2, 0 P1. My goal is to find a combo that benefits from using this midcombo, somehow. Everything Yosuke has doesn't -quite- have the untechable time, but I will find it, dangit.

' You can embed videos by going to advanced and using the video button. Alternatively, you can do <video> </video> tags. Here's my advice: Be more aware of when you get a hit for pickups. At 0:20 you get a counterhit j.AA but no j.2B, jumpcancel air combo. Pretty much always be ready to confirm into a combo. In the comments you said that you were focusing on gliding in that match, so I understand that. However, you should do more organic glides. at 1:00 you glide over him when he does Kill Rush and could have gotten a fat punish, but you were commited during that glide to Moonsault away no matter what. When you glide, you should pay attention to your opponent's movements so you can decide what to do after. That'll help you a lot. When you jump in the air, you don't have to keep holding forward. Start jumping, then immediately going to 4 to block unless you're nowhere near your opponent and are going to glide. You get hit by waaayyyy too much things in air to air situations, especially Caesar slashes. Don't forget you can B+D raw Akihiko Maziodyne and you'll go completely through it. 4:53 You had meter for Garudyne and you should've used it there to get the most damage before he went into awakening. 8:46 How did you still get hit by that? Come on, man. You always grab after A Run. You need to mix it up, especially against Akihiko who can actually beat you out of that with his 5A. Only run up grab versus slow 2A/5As. Versus fast ones, don't move just tap A and go into a pressure string. Doing the same trick over and over again, blah blah you know the drill. You're gonna need a new Sukukaja combo, too. XD Take another look at the Sukucombo video.

My MTNG Radio stuff will serve as all my forum Shoutouts. I'll have them Uploaded soon, I have to re-record them cause iPhone and iTunes are garbage. We are NOT going to Civil War on the 20th. At least I'm not. It's just way too close and I'd never get the days off for travel. Instead we'll do a MTNG monthly, how's that? =3 I'd like to do it at Kaos Theory, since we won't get kicked out after, can stay till forever, and has food both on site and close to the venue. Sound good? Guilty Gear and Persona; vote for other games if you want em. Klein and I checked travel prices to UFGT in May. It'd be like twelve dollars per head through Megabus for the whole trip. Wowowow

Lots of stuff. Yosuke's combo theory is... limited. He really only has a (correct me if i'm wrong) couple of meterless paths and they are > B run, Moonsaultx2, Knives. > A Run, Knives. > Sweep, Oki > Sweep, A Run, Knives > Air Combo, Knives. Of course, you can always drop the combo ender and go for a reset or tech trap. After skimming the front page and the thread briefly, there are a couple combos that aren't written down anywhere so this is for you guys. Really doing some Combosmithing tonight. -Whenever I say "Air Combo" I mean j.BB, j.2B, jump cancel j.BB, j.2B, 236D. -I'm not going to bother adding Garudynes into this notation. You can ALWAYS add a Garudyne for more damage. -Grouping like starters together. -I'll be reiterating some combos, simply for keeping everything together purposes. Vs. Crouching j.B, microdash 5A, 2B(or 5B), 5C, 2C, B Run, j.236A~A, j.236A~A, D Knives. Does 2880, gains 25-ish. If you're airdashing really low, you can get a j.BB in and it still works. Low to the ground 236A~A, 5A, 2B, Air Combo. does 2651 and 20. Low to the ground 236A~A, 5A, 5C, EX Run, j.236A~A, j.236A~A, D Knives does 3180, takes 25, builds 9 before you EX. -14 Meter total. 5D*blocked* (crossup)D, 236A~A, 236A~A, D Knives does 2215, gains 17, and looks really snazzy. 5DD, j.AA, j.2B, j.AA, j.2B, D Knives does 1810 gains 17. After every CH 5DD, you can IAD starting from Jiraiya, GLIDE FOR SWAG, and you're actually spaced perfectly to receive your opponent on the ground. CH 5DD, 66, low hit j.C, 5C, (Corner) B Run, 236A~A, 236A~A, D Knives does 3808, gains 24 and looks sweet. You can also 2B, 5C for easier timing. CH 5DD, 66, 2B, Air Combo does 2862 gains 18 IMPRACTICAL, BUT JOKES -FC 2C, TK EX Crescent Slash x3, OMB, TK Ex Crescent Slash x3, D Knives. Does 3790. -Sukukaja > FC 2C, TK EX Crescent Slash x3, j.2C, OMB, B Run, EX Crescent Slashx3, D Knives. Does 4448 Also inconsistent. -Sukukaja > 5AAAA, j.214A~A, EX Crescent Slash, EX Crescent Slash, EX Crescent Slash(Or D Knives), does 2298 or 2308. -Farthest possible behind you 2B, jump cancel j.A(reverse hitbox), C Knives. If you're in or near the corner, you can get j.AA instead and jump cancel j.BB, j.2B D Knives. Depending on crazy bs, Yosuke may not jump with his back facing the enemy. You can simply air turn and still achieve the swag. -5DA+BD, anything. Enjoy your heavy prorate. Do sweep or 5C and 5DD again. -CH 5DD, RUN LIKE HELL SUPER JUMP AIR DASH TO THE OTHER SIDE, j.2C does 1929 gains 10 go crazy with OMB and swagswagswagswag === More tomorrow. It's bedtime. ===

Yup. This is what I was trying to get people to do effing forever ago with my big ass Dash Spring post. Adding to this, since j.A is hard sometimes depending on what button company you prefer, do 6OMC6, j.BB. from the Dash Spring. This cannot be DP'd either and not only gives you more time to hit confirm, but also gives you a more damaging combo. The only benefit to j.A is, it's faster. This doesn't make too terrible much difference because you should be able to see which way your opponent is thinking of blocking when you do Dash Spring. Dash Spring is actually a 5 way mixup with 50 meter, but does have a tell on which, uh, 'branch' you're going to do. OMC off of the first hit and hold 6 on the ground and you'll continue running. You can wait for the blockstun to wear off and throw, immediately Tentarafoo with the OMC red circle as an almost camouflage, or 2A twice. OMC off of the second hit you can 2A, airdash with j.BB > land, or airdash j.BB, Moonsault~Crescent Slash. If you do it too early, you can get some funky things like a rising airdash over your opponent. Tenta loses to any button. Throw loses to DP/backdash. Moonsault loses to anti-Moonsault course of action varying between characters. j.BB and 2A are true blockstring and must be blocked and BEAT DP if they block wrong and try it. The strength of this mixup is that your opponent doesn't know what's next unless they have a good eye. It's on par with Chie's OMC high/low from Rampage. For real. Learn this.

I AM ALL THE HAPPY. MTNG IN THERE FULL FORCE WE'RE GONNA DOMINATE!
-
He won't listen to me, I hope he'll listen to you guys. It's more than just himself and MTNG that his absence affects. it's everyone we effing know simply because he doesn't like FR said it a week beforehand.

I didn't know about this, either. I don't know how to link a particular facebook status thing, but it's on their facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FinalRoundAtl This is bullshit that the event bans a certain converter type not only one week from the event so any attempt to get a new converter will be met with the possibility that it won't show up on time, but also after registration is closed with a no refunds clause. Jackie, you need to immediately go and send Larry a PM, and/or Tad please get in touch and see if we can either get Jackie a refund or allow him to use his converter, which he's been using for a long while now and hasn't ever had any input issues from. How do I practice mixups? If it's a weird mixup that boggles my fingers, I take it to training mode until I can do it 90%... 80% ..70% of the time and then take it to real matches. I barely practice pressure. I only practice whenever I discover something new and wanna see how it fares versus options. Everything else is done on the fly in matches. How do I use mixups? I take note of what works and what doesn't, using some complex flowchart algorithm my brain invents.... and then do whatever I want anyway, working off of a "They'll never expect me to do THIS, this time!" Klein is here, and he says his mixups are whatever he thinks his opponent will respect, he'll go for. And we all know he doesn't practice, soz.

Except for Milln cause he hates Netplay with all fibers of his being. But yeah I didn't notice that until now. The 360 peeps are off or have a ps3 available. Mellis plays 360, though. Aaaand I think Kain has both. Aaaaand....

I am rolling laughing at work right now. Rare footage of Milln actually hype.
