ggs guys. i think this gives everyone a good gauge on where they are in the community. let's work on getting those numbers closer together. apologies to akuun. i'll try to stop talking shit to everyone in general. let's have two more of these before evo. lots to work on guys.

I kind of want to expand on both parts of this post: You can still go into wolf from 236A, it's just a matter of getting the opponent to respect your ability to bait. Going from 236A into 5D/3D option is now punishable on hit by an opponent mashing As, but you can also cancel into 4D/7D to bait the mash and punish with a wolf j.A (this may not work as well depending on how little recovery the opponent's normals have). 4D/7D options can be punished by a delayed poke by the opponent (they wait for you to fly back after the backdash and throw out a 5B or 6A for instance), so when they start learning to do that, you can bait this by doing 7D > 5C, which stops your backdash (you move back but you don't move forward), and you can potentially punish a whiffed poke with [w]j.236A at this point. The options are limitless as long as you abuse his movement options and guess what the opponent is trying to mash after a 236A. Or you could just stay in human form. 236A on hit is actually still +1 (makes it really annoying to use against anyone with a 5 frame normal, since Valk doesn't have a 5 frame normal himself). As for combo enders, you can also do 5B>2C>j.D>[w]j.AAA>dj.D>rising j.C>falling j.C, which is basically a variation of 5B>2C>sj.A>j.B>dj.C>Falling j.C but does slightly more damage. Yet another, more damaging ender that allows you to get the falling j.C anti-tech roll ender would be to do: 5B>2C>sj.B>j.214B>5D>[w]236B>7C>j.D>j.B>dj.B>dj.C>falling j.C. Ideal if you have not used a Mondlicht earlier in the combo. There's probably a bit more to talk about that I'm forgetting. Valk is a character with a lot of options .

don't make tager viable. just make him an interesting character to play (apb apb apb apb) he's incredibly boring in this version, didn't give him anything new really (apb apb apb apb please). i don't even get any joy from doing the j.d > lowest j.2c combos now cause they made it easier now. (apb please)

this actually a pretty accurate description of the valk mirrors i have. 5a anti-air is also pretty good in this match-up. if your opponent tries to instant overhead j.C you, and you smell it coming, you can transform into wolf and make it whiff lol (need to IB if he tries it off a 5B/2C).

special shoutouts to pochp/brice for running the tourney really smoothly. It was a really enjoyable weekend for me. shoutouts to vice for raping me in casuals and having a beast litchi. Congrats on winning the tourney shoutouts to kirbster's beast rachel. thank god I had matchup experience. Oh, shoutouts to being the only non TO player that played me in GG shoutouts to brice for those tager gimmicks. Like i said before, i had a ton of fun at MTL. I just wish I knew alcohol can't be bought past 11 in Quebec . But when I stepped into the venue, it felt like I was a new man. Actually, the whole tournament i was really feeling myself in a whole new light and actually felt that i performed a lot stronger than last week at the anime north tourney. I didn't win, but I scammed my way into being the highest placer in Toronto, and I plan on placing higher. I'll improve on those match-ups that I had so much trouble with this weekend I swear. Hopefully we'll get to play against each other again soon. Its nice to see you guys improve so much since T11 and went past us. Now its our turn to catch up! Just make sure to stay gdlk.

i didn't use potemkin in the gg tourney, i used robo-ky. also, tim switched to testament once i exposed his potemkin in winners . i'll have to post full shoutouts later tonight, i'm going to be busy this afternoon. just wanted to say i had fun this weekend. most fun i've had a tourney so far! i had so much fun, i almost felt as if i was a different person ! more later.

Been noticing this airdash wolf loop that Japanese Valks have been doing: [w] [5b > IAD j.A > j.B ] x3 Doesn't do a lot of damage, but it carries to the wall decently, and I notice it uses almost no wolf gauge. It's a nice combo to keep in mind if you wish to conserve some wolf form time.
