Loses if he cancels it into Gauntlet though.
Anyways, you played pretty good there Coopa. Going to throw out some advice.
- I'm sure you know this already, but you let SJ do way too many 2Bs. I notice that you either missed the IB and got hit (due to lag probably, which is understandable), or you did IB it and then proceeded to press 5C or 2C, which is good if he's going to cancel the 2B into Gauntlet Hades, but otherwise you should just do IB > Normal Grab/360B (depending on the range).
- You blocked a lot of Gauntlet Hades. If you know the Gauntlet Hades is coming (in fact there was a point where you switched guard quite early, as if you're predicting the overhead), try jumping and instant blocking the first hit in the air and air grabbing him before the 2nd part since SJ seems to like to do a delayed follow-up followed by a RC into more pressure.
- Stuff 6B instead of blocking it if you can (5A works fine).
- If you have meter, and you IB Ragna's 5C, you should just do a 720. Only thing you have to worry about is if he cancels his 5C into a 6D or Gauntlet Hades.
- Try to recognize jump cancel patterns and punish jumps more often. Easier said than done though, I realize.
- After the Fatal Counter you did a MTW after doing your standard sledge FC combo. You would have did more damage had you just done 2C > Collider > 6B > MTW (5k).
- People usually burst after Spark or after a Collider, and I can see you're quite aware of those burst punishes. One other place that people like to burst is after you hit them with a meaty 2B > 2C like SJ did at 4:32. Now you didn't have meter at the time, but consider trying to do meaty 2B > 2C > Magnatech Wheel on oki. It's a combo that a few Japanese Tagers have been doing. It does 3.5k and it can potentially make the opponent waste a burst. You could also just do 2B > 2C > XYH as a possible burst bait, though it's a bit risky.
Basically, your defense is good, but you need to learn when to press buttons. If you want to beat Ragna easier, you have to do so by trying to deny him his mix-up.
