Late reply but: Slow start-up + late invincible frames = situational and pre-emptive anti-air. I also don't like how easy it is to bait (IB + barrier lol). Very rewarding though. But Tager needs a twitch anti-air (2A being the closest, but the hitbox is too situational). Also, I thought Hyper Fighting was the best SF game :razz:

4D is only marginally safe on block. IB is -5, which some characters can punish reliably. Just saying being able to jump cancel it would be the safest option.

6A super armor + speed could probably make 6A an effective/non-situational anti-air for Tager, which is what he needs. I'd be willing to part with the ability to jump cancel, but the problem is that 6A is probably still horribly unsafe on block, and he doesn't have a lot of safe gatling options after 6A. Regardless, I can't really make a conclusion until I see some videos.

Tager's not going to get much better until you give him air tight gatlings (even on IB) and longer ranged lows. Note: Bang's a better grappler than Tager. 6A changes sound good so far though (aside from the Jump cancel part).

So the Tager change is that the "same move proration on Collider seems stricter". Doesn't mean much since you couldn't really do much after 2 colliders in CS anyways. Might mean some combos are going to be harder to end with Gadget. Aside from that, I doubt Tager's going to change much. Probably going to stay low on the tier list. And S-Tier grapplers in general are not fun to play against, and are usually kind of braindead or retarded (as much as I enjoy AC Pot).

well, i doubt valk's a very mobile character outside of wolf form. he's a close range character, he's going to have trouble dealing with zoning, and i'm willing to bet the wolf form is intended to help him deal with that, but it'll probably be very limited because of the no blocking thing. also you have to consider that that 4k combo seems to be started from a close range 2C. i'm not going to judge his character until i see some proration values. distortions seem to do a good amount of damage though. edit: take back the slow ass part. roldy was at gety on monday? wth?

He can't block in wolf form. Can't crouch or change direction either. Based on the 4 primers I think he has low health too. Sounds like a heavy hitter with little health. Personally I'm fine with that, looks fun to use, might use him .

believe it or not, a lot of my theory fighter is based on either past experience or japanese videos. i mean seriously, everything i do is X.C.O.P.I.E.D. from Akira, Galileo, Yuumura, etc. so fuck you thomas, maybe I feel like playing another game. LIKE HALO.

Erm, decided to test it anyways since I have something set up right now. j.9A loses when Tager jumps and air throws (Tager must not jump forward though, or he'll get counter hit). j.7A beats Collider. Loses to Tager's 5C though (counterhit). Tager's 5A would stop you from jumping though (you get hit if it's 9, you block if it's 7). And, unrelated, but Litchi's j.7B probably only really loses to Tager's jump back j.D lol.

Well, the Carl player would be hitting j.A right away, so it should be a throw counter. Just checking, j.9A is jumping towards Tager right? Pretty sure j.7A for Carl stuffs Tager's Collider and dodges ground and air throws though. Probably loses to Tager's jump back j.D (jump back j.D is pretty good against people who like holding up+back out of pressure in general), not sure about what else, too lazy to test it atm. All I know is that it's a similar situation to the Litchi match-up where j.7B and j.9B/A stuff a lot of Tager's options after Gadget.

Speaking from experience, I believe j.9A loses to jump air throw from Tager. Almost 100% sure it loses to Tager's 5A as well (you would have just finished your jump start-up by the time you got hit by 5A).

Come back and become Toronto Future. edit: forgot to say, mirror matches aren't a good way to determine who's the best with their character lol. Pui has the best Tager in Canada though.
