  1. You're telling me. My only offline competition, other than driving an hour away for tournaments is my brother, who mains a very good Litchi. I've had to play her since BBCS was released. When dealing with that shit all the time, I need all the broke I can get.

  4. They clarified that j.c in the original thread. The j.c is meant to be jump cancel not the attack. Sorry for confusion.
  5. Carl + 6A is way easier to use, invincibility feels really long. - Throw damage nerf? Forward throw, j2C, jB, 2D, 5C, volante, j2C allecan, 5C, jB, jC, 2D does about 2500 - Cantata's startup is slower -Nirvana's gauge has no change to consumption. However Nirvana seems to lose a lot more gauge when hit by opponents and takes a lot more time to recover once broke. Red effect on Nirvana when she gets hit. o Nirvana's gauge consumption speed is not that bad (altough if she dies it takes indeed some time for her to regenerate) o Jump feels somewhat unconfortable?+ Easier to continue combo after 2hit 8D o Basic solo Carl air combo now : anything into cantabile, C, jB, j2C, jB, jC, jB, allegretto o JC knocks down, but the opponent falls at about the same speed as Carl. o B vivace same o Bounce after j2C is really high, so high that even after j2C being guarded Tager was able to catch Carl with atomic collider. o jB fatal counter is indeed gone but jB counter is now close to being air untechable. Carl can pick the opponent up if he lands first or continue offense hitting with nirvana's 3D. ? Since there are few occasions to land 3C counter it can't be used much (an above poster however said that 3C > cantata still works). It's basically useful for pseudo unblockables with nirvana's 2D. Final changes, we didn't get full invincibility on vivace B. What's really confusing me is they say the bounce on j.2C is really high now, yet there are reports of people still doing the 2D loop with J.B. 6A sounds really awesome as well. Edit: this obviously isn't all the changes, just what's known so far.

  12. Normal 3C can be teched, a CH however cannot. So probably the only way your gonna get 3C, Cantata is on CH.
  13. Maybe it does, I'm not quite sure what the Recovery column in frame data actually means.
  14. Data has 1-18f head and body invul. 1-24f passes through opponents. 39f of recovery. So I imagine it will be 1-18f total invul., same recovery. Still a lot of time to get smacked but still a very nice buff.

  16. Oooo, sounds like B vivace is getting full invincibility. It's not completely translated yet, but that's what it's looking like.
  17. Ya, I don't want Volante to change, I love it's uses in a sandwich as is. New info! So far it's only posted in Japanese and there's only one update for Carl. But it has a plus sign next to it!
  18. Ya, 6A already has 1-14f upper body invul. I'm gonna be spamming that shit all day. I'm curious as to why you have all the crying faces for 6D. I guess I don't get 6D CH on airborne opponents very much and I'm not sure what the result is. With the wall bounce though we should be able to get an IAD J.2C, no?
  19. Starting to wonder if JC, J.2C will replace 3C, J.2C for knockdown in combo's. Like..... 5B, 5C, 6]D[, JC(knockdown), J.2C, something.... Depends on the position of the knockdown and maybe the characters hit box could play into that as well.
  20. I'm thinking IAD, Alle~Can will only be possible on a CH 3C now. They will be able to tech on a normal 3C.
  21. Wow, wasn't too happy with all the changes when I went to bed. Got up this morning and looks like some things got cleared up that were a little confusing, and some new info was added. Suddenly doesn't look too bad at all. Here's a repost with new changes and clarifications.... Carl * Brio's knockback trajectory travels farther. + JC knocks down. + Anima has armour, launches very high. + Volante has multi-hit armour for projectiles. + Cantata is quicker. + NEE-SAN~ moves faster. + 3C CH knocks down, foot attribute added. + 6A seems like it got an invincible period. + 5B seems stronger for some reason. + 6D Air CH causes wall bounce. - Throw damage is 600. Throw > Fermata damage is 1700. - Volante has same move penalty. - j.B is no longer a fatal counter - Overall damage has been drastically reduced. - 3C retains CS version's float property, but is also ground-techable. - A-Vivace's invincibility frames are gone. - Cantata has a 10 frame gap before super flash appears Not sure I understand the Cantata changes, it's quicker after the super flash but takes longer to get the super flash?! EDIT: Whoops, I read that but forgot to put that in. Thanks Zeero.
  22. Well, another tourney, another 2 and out for me. I shouldn't start to worry yet should I? It's been right around 2 months since I picked up Carl and my second tourney with him. I must say I played significantly better this time around. I landed a J.2C, 5C, Volante in a 2]D[ loop combo for well over 5k and was getting some nice resets. Every round save one I had my opponent under 25%, I just couldn't close them out. I lost to Bang and then to my brother's Litchi. I took a couple of rounds from the Bang. Sigh, at this point I just want to post a W. I have a the Final Round Qualifier coming up in just under a month and I really wanna do well in that tourney. Back to the training room I go.......
  23. That is awesome, good shit. I wonder if you have enough time to jump back to the other side to fake the cross up before the 2D hits or just Alle~can. My brother adapts to shit real quick and it would be nice if that mix up would work. Can't wait to get home and try this out. Thx JG!

I honestly don't know if this would work, but if we're talking about hit box shenanigans. 2C looks like it lowers Carl's hit box, would it still be low enough and 2C's hit box large enough to counter? EDIT: ya not even close. If they do a normal jump and do the J.2C to high in the air you can crouch to make it whiff and do 2C to fatal counter.
