I've got nothing against Aquapazza, but I think the game is dead on arrival. Those guys might deliver 10 (or even more) people for the first time...maybe even the second time too, but I highly doubt they'll be able to maintain those numbers in the long run, and I see zero growth in its future, i.e. it's dead on arrival. That's just what I think though, I could be wrong, it would be nice if they proved me wrong, but I don't think that'll be the case. All that being said, alternating between Aquapazza/GG might not be so bad, and everyone is happy that way.

Persona is interesting...

Well...if that's the case, then I think it'll be a good idea to have something the week it comes out, but not have a tournament for it. It'll get people used to going out, new players can meet other players without the expectancy to perform, and (almost) no one would be tournament ready during the first week anyway. If you're looking to expand the player base outside of the usual suspects, I think something like this could be beneficial for the community, maybe have free food/drink to help entice the deal. That's just a suggestion, I'll be expecting this to happen the week before SJ either way, and I don't really care what the 2nd game is myself.

They have a no casuals policies at the break? That's what someone told me I believe, if so, then you may want to wait a week or so before you start it. Maybe the weekend before SJ? It would be a good warm-up.

I'll go to this. Maybe I'll drag Ril out for it too if he can't get there himself.

In my experiences, games are usually not shipped early unless they are "major" releases. Persona Arena, regardless of what we think of it, is not a "major" release. I would instead focus on either minimizing cost at the expense of time (avoiding sales tax, if it applies to you), or just picking it up normally in the early afternoon from a retailer.

So, for those of you guys importing this game...where are you getting it? Play-asia still has it listed for Aug. 2nd, and NCSX doesn't even have it in their systems. Are there other reputable places I can look at to get the game on release?

Congrats Lich on graduating. No one responded earlier to my inquiry, but where are you guys importing P4U? Play-asia still has the old Japanese release date, and NCSX didn't even have it in their systems the last time I checked.

Sounds reasonable. I'm not sure if I'll be picking up the Japanese release myself, but if I do, I'll let you know. I don't think anyone else was planning to around here though...so it would just be me I guess.

I've been told by some out of staters that "grease trucks" do exist on other major campuses, but yea, when I think of an "iconic" NJ'ian food, I think of fat sandwiches. Fat Knights are still the best, I don't know what this Va-Va-Voom nonsense is, that must have been after my time or only at certain trucks. That being said, I don't see what the big deal about Rita's is, but maybe I'm just spoiled because I have one in walking distance from me...

@RIL: 955 DPS is fine for now, your bigger problem is staying alive. What skills are you using? I personally think only two defensive combinations are worth it for DHs, and only one once you get to Hell and higher. Also, if you needed help, you should have asked. Well, I say this, but I'm not satisfied with 1375 DPS in Act 2. If they aren't dying in 1-2 hits, I'm upset. @Justin: Your situation is a little different, you run a Witch Doctor right? You've got shit to tank for you, but upping your DPS to around 900ish would really, really help you out for the next Act or two. Max's DPS the last time I played with him was around 900ish, and he handled himself fine. I'm around that area with my Sorc, I can play with you the next time you're on. My Sorc rapes shit, and with your shit to tank for me, it should be easy pickings. I say this assuming you guys play with 1-2 other people at the same time. If you're soloing, you can get away with lower DPS. I find that if your DPS isn't around 800-1k though by early NM, you're almost useless in 4 player games. Also guys, you can buy stuff in the AH you know...you don't have to grind, unless you really, really want to max/min. Well, you might have to grind in Hell and Inferno.

@RIL: You need to start thinking about your DPS. I haven't looked at your gear in general, but the jump from normal to nightmare is fairly noticeable and you need to be able to dish out that extra damage, especially if you're playing with more than 1 person. My Demon Hunter does 660 DPS, but that doesn't cut it in Nightmare. By the time you're halfway through Act 1 in NM, you probably want to have between 800-1k DPS, although, I think it's good to have vit with that dex too. Also, at lower levels, +dmg is better than +dex on your weapon/rings/amulet...(i.e. Ruby > Emerald). IAS/Dex/Vit are probably the most important traits to look for in gear, and that should last you until you finish NM. If you can get all that, plus good base stats and socket, even better. After that, you probably want to start thinking about optimal skill combinations to use, although until Hell, you can get away with freeform stuff. My Sorc does 550 DPS right now, and I know that won't be enough for NM, although, I haven't bothered looking for gear for her. Hit up the auction house for some stuff if you have the extra gold. EDIT: @Justin: You should accept my friend invite.

@McNugget: What class are you? I'm in Act 2 of Nightmare with a Demon Hunter. These guys are doing a lot of damage now. @RIL: I've got another bow for you, it should last you until Nightmare. In the mean time, buy the highest ruby you can in the auction house for it. If you can't do that, I'll buy one for you.

I'll add you when I go on today. How far are you? I have different characters depending on how far people are...unless you are farther in Nightmare than I am, lol. @RIL: GGs last night, I hate bugs.

@RIL: I found a better staff for my sorc, so now she doesn't do shit damage, lol. I'm also at your level now so things would go smoother. I figure it wouldn't be any fun using my higher level characters. @Justin: I added you, I'm salomeharras.
