Possible Tager changes from recent loc test... The 6A change sounds good, especially if the armor comes out faster. Spark bolt change. Meh. Voltic Charge increased rate sounds good. The other part sounds gimmicky. Seeing it in action will clear a lot up. B Sledge chargeable? Confused on this one. EDIT Damn you Axis for beating me to it.

While they don't change playstyle, they can change combos a bit. I was more leaning toward the fact that you could pick a character up that may get random/unnecessary nerfs in the upcoming patch. Plus, it's likely that the big three will get major changes, making matchup experience less useful. If the AE dlc ever goes down in price, I'll pick it up. I'm already spending $15 for 3rd Strike and $40 for UMvC3.

No need to focus on AE, as it's getting patched soon. MK is MK. 3rd Strike will be out in 2 weeks, so you might as well pick that up. I'll play Marvel with you in the meantime.

So, here's a little snip of me doing Tager things in a huge, three-day tournament that was in TN last month. Forewarning, I was in Marvel mode since I had played it all day the day before (while placing 4th out of 80-something people), and I was sleep deprived. I'm sorry, but this just sounds stupid to me. "To get better at Blazblue, I need to play Street Fighter." No, that's not how it works at all. You know why Tokido wins? He's been playing fg's competitively for years. He's an extremely smart person. He tier whores in games he doesn't play. His fundamentals are through the roof. You wanna get good at BB? Then actually play BB. From what I've read, most of the top American BB players either hate SF or aren't very good at it. Practice things like pokes at max range, punishes, and blocking (yes, using the record function) in training, then get tons of matchup experience. I think you do lack fundamentals Star, but I don't think picking up SF will help your BB game at all.

Stickbug isn't always lord knight. Stickbug and LK are close friends, and I know I've played both of them on that XBL account. LK kind of trolls around online, so don't take it too seriously. That said, Blazblue does have strong American players, but the problem is that they're too spread out to actually play against each other. The best Tagers are in MI and TX, Carl is in CA and GA, Valk is in FL, Ragna is in TX, Makoto is wherever Omni is, and the rest... I'm not really sure. Since the netplay is crappy, they can't get experience without awful lag.

Hey, I like Jan. From what I recall, his play is always solid, and he never goes for risky things. Did anyone see Coopa playing yesterday? He got some clutch 720's on stream.

As a 100% pad player in all fighting games, I can vouch for Tager use on pad. It's not bad at all. They're efficient enough to IB 720, 2B whiff 720, etc. Really fancy stuff like Voltic Charge cancelling and standing 720s is much harder on pad though. In my experience, fightpads are awful. Like Osuna said, their buttons are spaced out in a strange way. On top of that, the huge pads are awkward. I prefer the original 360/PS3 pad over any fightpad.
