  1. Watching Matsu just makes me realize how well balanced this game could have been if Rachel did a bit more damage.

  3. The combo options seem extensive, but not as strong in CS. I do love that she is looking a lot more competitive then anyone thought she would every be.
  4. Geno, that is a 3 wind combo where the wind doesn't regen during the 6cd. We need strong combos without draining our entire wind stock. Or at least one that lets us regen wind.
  5. Anyone have the damage for 5b 5cdc 214a dash 3c 6c j.236c j.c air bbl. I have seen this combo in another video and was wondering if it is worth it even after george pro-rate, but I didn't catch the damage. Also..are there any mid-screen frog chars anymore? I thought there was, but I haven't seen it that I can recall.
  6. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense that rushdown is what you need to do with CS Rachel. Her zoning isn't great and neither is her damage, to win you need to be on the offensive most of the round.
  7. I haven't had a chance to watch all of them, but the Yellow & Black Rachel in http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9304104 is pretty nasty. She might not be anywhere near as bad as CT Tager by the time tiers are pretty much set.

I am still trying to figure out how they thought it was fair to take things like 6b counterhit combos away from her, yet they give hakumen 6c that stuns for an eternity and he can do 6.5k damage off of it easily. CT rachel would have problems with CS haku. I hope we find some really viable tactics, soon...

  11. They really need to denerf the j. 2c a bit. Its killing me that they have a move that is now completely pointless. That is my main problem at the moment. Ryock is right though, every fix on her seems forced..frog over powered...lets put a timer on it. Pumpkin too strong...err...howbout we weaken the most useful aspect of it, the hitstun... The only things they should have done were weaken her damage and make wind more valuable. If they wind was more valuable to have and took a bit longer to recover it would automatically weaken the rest of her move set. Instead they did all of that and now she is practically unplayable. (although I do think something very strong will come with air sword iris).. p.s. tempest looks awful and weak....why make her throw a cow unless you want her to be a joke char like dan...oh wait..that explains everything...
  12. They need to start from scratch with nerfing Rachel in CS. I see way to many unusable moves, j. 2c is pointless 2c is still mostly pointless, her new super looks awful, winds uses have been practically cut in half.. If i make a pumpkin in the air and wind down it doesn't reach the ground?? what??? thats awful...anyone with an ok anti air can pummel me if I jump.. I will use her, but she seems almost unplayable still...and thats very bad since this is the 3rd test.. I am running out of hope.
  13. I gotta say that some of these changes look interesting. I am seeing possibilities in moving george with the wind. The air iris seems very good and abusable too (good air iris pressure and tiger kneeing the iris is already happening in these vids) The frog timer seems almost pointless with how fast it is, but it does hurt the pressure a little bit. Is it just me, or does the wind regen change seem like a buff in this video? It almost seems faster.... its probably an illusion though. So far its not nearly as bad as expected, but I just wish they would make j. 2c usable. I agree it needed to be nerfed because I abuse the hell out of it now, but at this point I don't even see a reason for it to be in CS. I know I won't use it, unless its by force of habit (that is unless someone finds a good use for it).
  14. From what everyone else says j .2c isn't cancelable on block at all. Its like an air cat chair, once its blocked you're done. Free combos galore. The only good it does with these changes would be midcombo, and that really doesn't help it. I just can't imagine they would keep most of these nerfs. It seems like they don't know what to do to balance her while keeping her game the same, so they are trying anything they can think of and putting it in loke tests. I hope she wont change too much
  15. Does the no canceling j.2c on landing stop the air cancels, or can I still do j.2c >j.c??
  16. I always found that a very costly mistake. Sometimes you can trick them, but its rare against experienced players. The best option I have found after a blocked 5cdc is just 236a and reset the pumpkin>frog etc.
  17. Haha, oops... I have been pressing it 5 c+d c for the longest time, since it seemed easier then 5c>d>c and I didn't find any combo's I couldn't do till 3c...oops....i guess I have to relearn that, oh well, it will take 5 minutes.
  18. All I am doing is 5cdc > 3c > 236a in the corner and the 3c never hits for me. The only thing I can think of is I am not all the way in the corner when I try it, but it never works as a corner trap vs arakune for me.

  20. Really? I can hit it against most, but I try against Arakune and the 3c never seems to hit.
  21. You might be holding C for a bit to long or if the egg misses you might be canceling it too late. I find doing it pretty quickly works best. Another question about this, what characters does it work on? I am not sure if spacing is my problem with some of them, or if it doesn't work on some of the cast.
  22. 2c owns Taokaka if used right. Learn the usual patterns and throw it out at safe moment, then put on the pressure with pumpkins, frogs and high/low mix ups. She might hit you a lot, but don't get discouraged because she goes down pretty easily.
  23. This is a match I am pretty good at, j.C, 6a and 2c (only if you catch on to a teleport pattern) work wonders. I just have trouble with that damn corner trap. If anyone has any ways to get out of that I would be grateful.
