  1. Sigh...I'm not trying to attack you, just take what I say as it is. I think I just sound hostile without trying to. Sorry if I somehow hurt your pride or anything.

  2. First page. For Sophisticat's combos, let's take this as an example: 1.2) 5a CH -> sj.a, gatling B -> dj.2c 1.2.1) -> 5c -> Gurren -> 6c 1.2.2) -> 5c -> falling.C In this case, 1.2 goes into either 1.2.1 or 1.2.2, it means after dj.2c you can go either way. At least that's what I think. It does seem weird that 5c isn't included in 1.2, though. edit: confirmed by the man himself; what would we do without you.
  3. That's...really just a problem of your hands, because that's one of the easiest inputs. I'm guessing your hands are just not suited for moving that way, so either practice the movement a lot (image training, etc.) or just try something else. Also, it matters if you're using a stick or a pad. Well, I wouldn't use 6C as punish at any rate in CS. Instead, spam 4C or J.C! can't really punish after the, though, and they prorate like crazy.
  4. I'm assuming you guys are talking about the BnB...well, for that one, using the advice SolBadass found, you could look at both the legs of Hakumen and your opponent's falling animation at the same time. Right as Hakumen's legs stand retracting (for the fall) and your opponent starts flipping (so you start seeing his/her back) is around the time you press C; the delay in input will match up right. It sounds like it's a lot of work, but it makes it easier to pull off; just practice. If people who are scrubs(me) can do it, you can too. Also, I think the timing in CS is bit slacker, so if you're planning on playing it when it comes out, just try it and see.
  5. That's the guy's name, Blade.
  6. yomi over 9000 there. Hate to play that guy online.
  7. a couple decades too early.
  8. Huh, her 6C does FC? I thought it was just like Jin's 2D, but it's even better. But yeah, her combo damage does seem low. But I think she excels in keeping pressure, though, so it probably balances out. lieutenant?
  9. I don't think you understand how logic works. When did I say anything about a character being not canonical because they lack something? I only said that a particular piece of the information isn't needed or rather is mis-informative. For that matter, I don't even get how your analogy works. Hey, again, I was just pointing out that those info are probably..well, not something that should be looked at because it doesn't fit with the other data of the same field. And lol pride on a forum. Sure, I'll eat my words, it's not the first time, here or elsewhere; still doesn't change what I want to say, now does it? Again, I only said what I wanted to say, and I still don't think I'm wrong in saying that it's tacked-on. That point aside, what pride is there to talk about? I don't really contribute like some of the members, I'm not a mod, and I certainly have no rep to maintain. I'm just bothered, that's all. @Black Onslaught: You tell me that it doesn't look weird, then. Why only Jin, Noel, and Litchi? Why not just list them from their cities? If we don't know where Ragna was from, why the hell do we know where Jin was born from? Why are they being taken care of by a non-relative, then? For that matter, Noel isn't even human, so was the Hierarchial city she was in (that was destroyed) somehow in o'Swiss? Why not just list the city, then? It's not that I'm not wiling to back off, but it's just that people seem exceptionally good at ignoring certain obvious problems, for some reason. But hey, I'm not trying to piss people off, so I'm just not going to say anything more.
  10. Hey, I'm just pointing stuff out, if you guys don't want to actually think about the stuff and rather make up bad speculations using information that you believe is really, really good, then hey, I'm not going to stop you, it's not like I can forcibly pull our your power cord over the internet, or for that matter, too much effort at any rate. At least with this it's just using my hands.
  11. @harmlesskitten: if it's not relevant why are you adamant about it? Geeze, people with issues. And it's quite clear that they're tacked on because none of the other characters, including the new upcoming ones, have a nationality. If you still want to go your way, though, go ahead, it's not that big of a deal. I just don't get how you can get so flustered telling me that this is part of canon, because quite obviously it's just random crap just like the bloodtype that clearly has no effect on the story, yet somehow you guys managed to talk pages about it, even speculating from it. And again, I guess you guys really don't read when you think someone's wrong, I already pointed out that it's completely crazy to build a hierarchial city in England or Shanghai because neither is really that elevated. Hey, but you never know, right? arcsysworks might just pull something out of my ass and prove me wrong. (well that's a bit harsh, nevermind)
  12. If you guys say so. Oh, and you can attack the lasers, but the thing is...I'm not sure where they're coming from, it's kind of hard to see sometimes since they don't always go straight for you. Also, they're fast. I can D them easily, but sometimes j2A isn't a good idea for those lasers, so I don't know. It's just that there's this one match with COM that I gave her enough time to set up some crazy wall, and I got combo/pressured to death. So I guess as long as I interrupt fine... I thought mu can do 6k max? Her 10th challenge was something like that, wasn't it? (yeah it is, 6.5k off fatal)
  13. So are you saying that somehow all these characters were able to be born in those places, even after the first magic war? You have to remember that the Black Beast's seifer was spilled all over the world, making it impossible to live in, about 100 years ago, there's no way these characters would have been born in these specific places unless the locations somehow survived to that day. So you're saying that England somehow survived, despite the fact that the game states people escaped to the Hierarchial cities? For that matter, it says Litchi was born in Shanghai, really? Somehow Shanghai of all places survived the seifer flood? Let's say there's a Hierarchial city in these places. What's the highest point in England? What's the highest point in Shanghai? Really? of all places, do you think they'll build one in some of those elevated areas of the world when there are so many more available locations better suited to escape from seifer pollution? In addition, are you saying it somehow factors into the story? Because from the way I see it, it's still just a tacked-on-kind of info. Does it affect anything in the story? Is Jin somehow better at drinking tea? And It's not like there's even countries in the canon, everything is inside a sea of seifer and wild growth. Stop being stupid and think for a minute before pointing out that "oh it's in the bios", none of the nationalities make sense (well, Taokaka's does, but then again those characters are not using real life locations so they can put whatever they want, I guess) because it's contradicting the real canon. So stop arguing about it. It's tacked-on because it's tacked-on, and I said in the western version because I don't remember seeing any info about that in my game. Sorry if I was mistaken about this.
  14. I'm not sure if you guys know, but those nationalities were just tacked on in the Western version, and only in the instruction manual. I don't remember any mention of nationalities in the JP version. edit: also, how the heck do you guys know which city is where?
  15. In this thread we try to provide nationalities to characters in a world that has not nations.
  16. Well, in Continuum Shift, it's not so much as time loops as possibilities, due to the Continuum Shift initiated. All the characters have a main story path, an alternate path, and a joke path; joke path aside, the main path actually coincides with each other characters' paths pretty well (they are some inconsistencies and change of orders, I think, but minor ones and usually related to Litchi, Bang, and Arakune). So it actually feels like the story isn't just repeating timeloops. The alternate paths are probably there to show stuff they can't include in the main paths to maintain consistency. P.S. The reasoning I gave for a lot of the main story paths ending with fighting Terumi (I think Ragna's, Taos, Bang's....actually, I don't remember anymore) is just that they've been coming one after another to fight him; the differences of order (who fights him first, second, etc.) might just been due to the Continuum Shift. But you can tell all the main endings don't contradict.
  17. Hm, shit. Hakumen v. mu-12 is probably 3:7 in mu-12's favor. You can't attack those lasers; I don't think I actually hit the lasers themselves at any rate since they're so fast, but you can't hit the nodes either. And mu has some ridiculous mid-range attacks that out do Hakumen's. This might be bad.
  18. the fact that 2C {CT} is now 2A {CS} isn't taken into effect makes it a bit confusing sometimes. That aside, anyone completed the combo challenges? I think I got halfway before getting really demoralized. Actually, no, I didn't even finish #4, I think the second one confused me; I know it sounds amateur, but I'm not sure how to do that last part diagonally; Hakumen misses the second air B a lot. If you don't know what I mean, here is the combo they make you do: 2D -> 66 -> B -> 7,8,or9 -> A -> B -> J.2A -> j.C
  19. The joke endings are all...weird; they feel like they're hinting at important stuff, but then it's all meta (Carl's joke route is one where he remembers hanging out with Makoto, Noel, and Tsubaki, and it felt like something that could have been scripted into the main story if it was important, but then Ragna and Rachel shows up as principals, so I'm not sure what to think of it in terms of its importance). By the way, Hazama's joke route for the ladies.
  20. I just found out that people even play blazblue in Hong Kong, thanks to someone mentioning that there's SBO qualifiers here. Now I want to find out where. Dammit, I spent a whole month here, and I haven't found a single cabinet of BB. Anyone know there's one? Edit: Found two machines in Tsuen Wan. Man, that took a really long time. The joysticks are worn out, too. LOL Bang's overused there, 15% compared to everyone else. And apparently a really good Hazama was there. I didn't get to play anyone, though, other than the few people(who might be the same guy?) who used beginner mode. Sorry to that guy.
  21. Thanks. Just one clarification, to use 5C twice, the first hit must be when the enemy is (still) in the air?
  22. it's probably a metaphor to a bow's ability to resist flexing (which is why a bow works), right?
  23. I've got some questions for Spark, if he doesn't mind answering them: 1) You use enmakishuu combo a lot, even at the corners you used that instead of going renka into wall loop. Is there are specific reason? I'd think that the wall loop would not only do more damage, but be more reliable, easier to execute, and it's for the same heat price. 2) You don't use hotaru a lot, why? I'm not saying you should, but for different HK players, I'd like to know why some spam it like there's no tomorrow, and others don't even use it. I can see the advantage, so I usually agree with using it more often as opposed to renka or zantetsu. 3) You 'voided' Hazama's snake quite often, is that on reaction, or did you know it was coming? 4) another question about the enmakishuu combo; i never could get 2 5C's in before it black beats, what am I doing wrong? 5) 6C after throw break = good idea? Not 4C? 6) You actually use 6C, too, and against batshit Hazama, too, why? 7) all three of your wins ended on renka. Thanks!
  24. Agree on that part, mostly. Hakumen, on the other hand, doesn't have keep using C over and over again (though you still can). B actually is applicable in replacing C sometimes in chaining combos, and I feel that's better in terms of variety. Don't agree there, and don't exaggerate when you're trying to be serious, lol. Time outs are definitely occurring more often, but it's not that big of a problem; the game is just too slow now. Also, you lost me there on Hazama, he's boring, yeah, but not because he can only win by timeouts. Would you clarify on what you mean, cause I have no idea what you're talking about there. evo harhar :V
