  1. Checking in. It's been awhile since I've been to Dustloop on a regular basis. I'll see you at the locals, Hero, whenever I actually make it out again.
  2. Awesome. Just pulled it off by delaying the j.D. Didn't know there was time to delay that...thanks!
  3. Has anybody made regular use of challenge combo 9 in your matches? It looks like a great corner combo, going from 0 meter to 50 with the use of Fenrir at the end, taking off 5K total damage. I can't seem to land the 6D after j.D; dummy Bang always techs out. What nuance am I missing between the j.D and 6D? Is it better to do a neutral super jump D? Do you press D right when you jump or just a little after? I can't get this for the life of me...
  4. No letdowns. It is what it is. It's a shame to see the BB scene die out in our area, but the few of us who still continue to participate in the local tourneys still seem to have fun. Thanks for coming out Hero.
  5. Thanks for posting on this site, Dead. Damn, where are all the IL BB players at?
  6. Excellent! I remember your Tager from FF. Coincidentally, you kicked me into the loser's bracket. Cool, man. Hopefully more interest comes along and more DL people show. As an aside for this event: I will be bringing a PS3 set-up. Matches can be recorded by request, via Dazzle, which will be hooked up to my set-up. The grand final will be recorded for sure.
  7. This would be the 2nd ranbat for the season. Results from the 1st ranbat here: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=223285 Registration is via PM to DeadXIII through SRK forum or email at AREAXIII@Gmail.com. Feel free to hit me up with any questions. However, I'm just trying to spread the word, and not a tourney organizer. But speaking from past experience, his tournaments are pretty well organized, and things go relatively smoothly. Hope to see you guys out there!
  8. Hello all, I just wanted to spread the word about the Ranbats being organized by DeadXIII from the SRK forum. There's a pretty solid, core group of us Blazblue players, but I'd like to see more turnout. You do not get a cut of the year end bonus pot even if you are eligible. PM me with any Questions.
  9. nice. thanks for explaining
  10. This post needs more props. Great way to start learning this loop and its variations. The fact that it does 4k meterless damage, and works on almost everyone (fuck Carl!) is golden. And who coined the term "Haida?" Does that actually mean something in Japanese?
  11. Ah, makes sense. Since I began this thread, I find myself using her counter assault more and more. This pays off well when being corner pressured, and you can follow up with 6A > 6C > combo of choice. Noel's counter assault is so underrated.
  12. Mizzet, is that j.D to Fenrir a CS combo?
  13. This. Image 21. 'Nuff said. Hint: Not Blazblue related.
  14. Damn, it looks like the link for this video doesn't work anymore. For those who remember it, do you know if there is another link out there?
  15. Thank you for posting the vector versions of the Blazblue character emblems! You saved me an ass-ton of work. Now I can't wait to get the art print and plexi for my TE stick. :)

  16. Thank you! For other people encountering this, here is a tutorial on how to sign up for Nico video: http://thenextweb.com/2008/01/15/how-to-register-for-japanese-video-site-nico-nico-douga/
  17. How do you get those videos from Nico video to play? I don't speak Japanese so I can't find the link to activate the video.
  18. I'm curious to see how everyone else is using their meter. For me these are the most common uses: -At least 50%: 6C > 2C > Ground Distortion -100%: random ground distortion > rapid cancel > 3C > 22C > 66C > BC > etc. I'm surprised how often I can catch people off guard with this. -At least 50%: 2D > 28D (blocked) > (baits enemy counter) > rapid cancel > punish ? How about you guys? Is anybody using the rapid cancel to extend Noel's block strings? With Noel's attack range being so short, would this even be a viable use for her rapid cancel?
  19. Anybody have any video links for successful matches against Arakune and Carl? I consistently lose to Arakune, and I whiff a lot of combos due to Carl's size. Visual help, please!
  20. Thanks, I just thought about this. 3C to 22C has been so imprinted into muscle memory.
  21. How about combos against Carl in the corner? I try the 22C to a 6C-BC loop into drive, but the 22C shot goes over his head. Same with 22B. What do you guys do against Carl when you have him cornered and knocked down?
