  1. What's up? So for those of you who have PSN or XBL and want to play Anji Vs Anji hotness matches and stuff post here. My PSN is TheSlyMoogle. My XBL is TheSlyMoogle01. I want to try and have some weekly room gatherings. Anji Vs Anji is one of the more interesting and hilarious mirrors in Guilty Gear. Though nothing beats alcohol consumption and Ky mirrors all night long. As of right now My 360 is in RROD status and my Gold account expired, but as soon as I get another 360 I'll be back on and getting GG there as well. I know the netcode is pretty awful, but hoping some people will want to play, and hoping they'll improve on the netcode with R+

  3. Also it seems like compared to a lot of the cast, he didn't lose as much damage on his combos. I notice them doing slightly less, but not much. Especially since he can chunk guardbar again with 5s. Mmm 5s.

  7. I like this idea and was sort of getting at that too. I was sort of waiting around for more gameplay vids of anji before I started. I'm sure he will have new combos in ACR and hopefully a few new tricks. I think a collaborative guide would be cool.

  9. Hey guys. It has certainly been a long time. We are at the start of something new here. With a new gg on the horizon I'm certainly excited. For us old anji players and new ones to come hopefully. So... I know I've been the world's worst mod in probably the history of fighting game forums. I've posted half finished guides, generally not been around the forums, and left a lot of players pissed I'm sure. I apologize for that. With a new game coming I'm personally excited to play, I hope everyone else is too. That's why I'm coming here today to say this and ask what you want. I've been playing anji since late 2004. I was active in the competitive gg scene for almost as long. I never changed characters (and god did I want to in ac.) I was probably the longest active tournament anji player in the us. Most of the old school players lft the scene by now, showed up rarely and even switched characters. I can't say I've done amazing things, I've never won a major, even though I've generally placed high in every tournament I've entered. I've played tons of matches with the best the us had to offer back in the hayday of accent core and slash. I've learned tons about the game and anji playing in itself. I even went as far as to improve my anji play when the game was next to dead (I.e. 18 players entering in a major tournament). I'll probably never be the best anji out there, though I will always strive to be the best. However what I can offer is knowledge. Knowledge gained from years of playing him in all his iterations. What I'm really saying is that I want to pass on my knowledge of the character. With a new game coming out things are going to change and now is the prime time for me to do that. What I'm really asking here is I there is even any interest? It always felt like there wasn't a lot of interest in the old days for anji. Every time I started a guide or something of the sorts, it just seemed like no one was actually reading it, or really any feedback on what was needed, or what you wanted to read. So I just stopped posting, my real life was hella busy at the time anyway. So I'm asking you guys to post up, let me know you're interested, that you hunger for anji info. I'm able to give a lot more attention to this little corner of dustloop now. Let me know what you want to read here. What things will help you guys as anji players to get better. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Your mod, Theslymoogle Also I do plan on making a full guide for acr, but I just wanted some feedback before I started. I've got the gg fever again after day 1 vids, and nothing gets me as rock hard as a new guilty gear.

  11. 1)From what it looked like most were counter hits, but it also looks like the regular hits have increased untech time. This is good. 2)Those were Counter hits. It has always bounced like that on CH. 3) Looks like you can probably link it into 5p from the untech time. Maybe not though. 4) Nah that's the correct untech time for Nagiha. To make millia fall to the ground without teching she would have had to have been hit several frames later with nagiha. It's the same as AC. 5) He was only RCing blocked 5Ds. Which kept him from getting punished. 6) He didn't use 6HS enough to really make a judgement about it. 7) Truth. New FB shitsu is bawse. 8) You could also do this in AC my friend.

  17. 3P is a command normal though, and from what I saw in the vids, didn't look like he could gatling cancel it. However if he could... GDLK! Also looks like it with kou. Pretty sweet. Also noticed from what combos I did see, Anji looks to have not changed. Even saw a double fuujin rin, into a running fuujin ender on slayer.

  19. They basically gave him his old slash pressure game back, but that honestly depends on how useful 6HS will end up being in pressure. Making 3s cancel easier, and 5s building guard bar again, he now has a pretty pressure sound mix-up game that doesn't just involve butterflies. He'll be able to crank a guard bar now, so if you do hit one of your mix-ups, you'll actually do some decent damage that turns into another guard bar cranking mix-up. :D

  24. I do the super jump by doing the following. I start by going from the 7 ( I use 7 to install the jump during 5s. So while doing the gatling I'm doing 5s, 7s) From 7 I roll to 4 during the animation of the second 5s. From there I quickly roll the stick all the way to 9 around the time Anji can jump cancel. By doing this I always get the install and the superjump. I was a pad player for a long time, and didn't switch to stick until blazblue CT because we got to play it on a cab when it came out in arcades. I had to learn stick quickly and I basically just translated all the things I did on pad over to stick. So I do things a little oddly, but it works for me, and seems more intuitive than going from 8 to 2 then up to 9 for the super jump and I can feel the corners of the stick so I knew I was hitting the directions. Also I literally hit the 7 as I'm pressing slash again. Inside the combo there is also another tricky thing you do when you do the aerial jump cancel that you need to do to hit certain characters. You basically have to jump cancel on the right frame (I think you have like 5 frames to do it). You will jump cancel forward, but you also preserve the momentum from your super jump on your second jump in the air. It allows you to hit certain characters for the last few hits of the combo, but the other cool thing is you can do it always because it doesn't screw up the combo on other characters you don't need to do it for. Also if you need more anji help just PM me. I used to live in Atlanta and played some people in GG there a lot. I hardly ever visit the anji forums, but visit dustloop daily for other reasons. I'm hoping GG:AC#R will bring some people back into the game so I actually feel a reason to do something on the anji boards.
