  1. Yeah that's Chickenfat. You must remember this is back in August and at the time we had been playing a lot of guilty gear with each other. Crews fighting each other is always strange. We know what's up. As far as 3P goes, I've reaction fuujin'd it enough times during pressure to know it can be done easily. But here's the thing I want from the axl player that you're talking about and doing. 2H etc. all have answers and I'm forcing you to commit to one of those answers. Like 2HS for example isn't that scary if Anji can IB it, he has options. It's the same thing with all of Axl's anti-anji game. There are things you can do to get in, and it takes a lot of work, but once you get in, you are like "Fuck Axl" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34lBCvsvmPQ Take Lime-Key for example. He is very patient, and waits for opportune moments to punish shoot. As far as this match being all reaction for axl... I don't know about that one. Anyway, enough of this. Perhaps one day you and I shall play.

Well ok probably not triangle or X since those are movement buttons technically. MashFest. I was hoping for something at least a bit intricate. Total Mashfest. Well I guess I can give a little benefit as it has some intelligent mashing. Lol. Will I mash Square or circle right now? Oh Brave check... Square it is.
  3. In a tier list where everyone else is B+ or better it's the same as saying D. Ogawa still had a 5 level list, just saying that no one is a terrible enough character to be C or D. Johnny sucks, but he's cool as shit. Nuff said.
  4. What makes this match hard for Anji players is the fact that you have to dedicate yourself to the few options you have to get in on axl. Anji does have aerial options against Axl when he is on the ground. Anji's superjump is very fast, and very good against axl. Anji's ground options are small though. Mostly they are Fuujin. As has been stated already 2HS does screw fuujin over. Luckily though pretty much every other poke axl has doesn't beat fuujin. This leaves Anji many more options than you think. It becomes a game of guard low and watch out for 6HS which is easily 6K'd by anji for either an autoguard cancel or perhaps a combo if you know what you are doing. Forcing your opponent to constantly be in fear of Fuujin is a big factor in this fight. Another fact that makes Axl not so tough is if Axl decides to pressure Anji he must do it wisely and differently than most characters. Once again Fuujin is very applicable here just because Axl's pressure isn't that great, and there are plenty of moves axl normally uses in pressure that are easily Fuujin'd for a nice combo. 3P(Or is it 3S? I'm not sure but I bet you know what I'm talking about), Raesengaki(Sp?), 2D, 2K and 5K all have these huge openings where you can just Fuujin them away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AyEUw4G5Og&feature=channel_page This is a semi-casual match that I played during the weekend of SBO. As you can see there are a couple of things I do quite frequently against Axl. There is a lot of prediction in this fight for Anji. One fuck up though and it's easy to get your ass kicked. A lot easier for Anji to lose this match than Axl that's for sure. 2S for Anji is one of his very important tools against Axl. This pretty much says no to all of Axl's reversal options if spaced properly and leads to a full combo due to lack of proration on 2S. Really once Anji has Axl in the corner, or under butterfly pressure he doesn't have a lot of options. A smart Anji player can make an axl look stupid. Input about the match-up, well I think it's so bad because: 1. Axl does more damage than Anji hands down. Axl can do decent amounts of damage without use of Tension too. 2. If Axl lands one of these combos, he gets corner setup and a second combo normally means death for Anji. 3. If Axl loses lockdown, his lengthy pokes shrinks the neutral ground to almost nothing. This is bad for Anji. 4. Unfortunately Anji's ways of getting inside on Axl are tired and predictable. With a skilled Anji and a skilled Axl player it turns into a game of "Wait until Axl comes in on me, or until Axl fucks up." 5. Once Anji does get control, one wrong guess will put you back into either a position of neutrality, or disadvantage. High Risk/Reward has always been part of Anji's game and Axl just doesn't give Anji a chance to take as many of those risks.

  7. Awesome. I think Lime-Key is every bit as smart as Domii at his peak. I remember first seeing Lime-Key vids and he didn't impress, but now he is awesome. Good For him. I think ANG still has the best input of any anji player though. Awesome.

  9. Haha ok. I understand the money thing. I'm poor as shit too. Suggestion though: Get a stick. Get one of them cheap hori sticks man, like the 50 dollar ones. I learned stick on a t5 hori. It was hard, but I learned it. I picked up slash Ky to learn too because his VT is a tight input in that game. After a few weeks in training mode I was decent enough on stick to play every fighter perfectly except GG, which takes quite some time to really master on stick. BlazBlue is a step down from GG really in terms of input, so it's not too bad. Combos have a level of complexity that will take some training mode for sure, but for the most part Blazblue is fun as hell. It's a lot different than the games you can play for free. :D Perhaps you can borrow a stick from a friend as well maybe? DO IT! P.S. I still play guilty gear on a pad for the most part. Unless I'm drunk and playing Ky.
  10. Err, it's the coolest one. :D It won't work on the floaty characters in the cast. Then for like certain characters because of their hitbox you can't combo either the j.h or the j.d. If the j.h doesn't work just the j.d will. Like I said this combo is totally not worth it unless you've gotten the launch and opponent had a cranked guard bar, or it will kill them. Otherwise you're going to maybe do like 15 more damage than the previous combo I suggested that gives you lots more options. Almost forgot: Faust Only: 214 P, 5S, 8, 5S, SJC, j.s, j.p, j.s, MPJC, j.p, j.s, j.h, j.d, link falling j.h for knockdown. Tension free and the same amount of damage as a rin combo. If you're mid-screen to close in the corner on faust, do this combo. It looks awesome, does awesome damage, gets you a knockdown, and fucking street cred. Bitches need street cred.
  11. Which doesn't mean I ever do them. Seeing as this game no longer holds my interest with its lack of Jin Kisaragi. Anyway it's only always possible if you have 50% tension from a Jump Installed combo, and even then, saying you were in the corner on the left and somehow you landed a 214 K with the opponent staying in the right of the screen after the launch, with that distance even 50% isn't going to get the KD. It's a hard knock life for Anji sometimes. Perhaps on certain characters you could get a dashing 5P On, but not everyone. What he means is that, in slash as long as your combo ended in orb you got a KD. The momentum preservation was just a way to get added damage by allowing you to add in a j.h,j.d, orb or just a j.h or j.d into orb depending on character. Basically one of those 5S, 8, 5S, SJC, j.s, j.p, j.s, MPJC, j.p, j.s, j.h, j.d, orb combos would net you 200+ damage in slash on everyone except Pot, which was like 180. It also gave you corner knockdown and butterfly. Anji was a beast. I would highly suggest if you are going to do this combo in AC you always end in Orb anyway because it has enough untechable time to allow you to recover and throw another normal. Although I don't suggest this combo as in you lose the Jump cancel which gives you plenty of options after orb if you combo into it without air dashing or jump canceling to get to that point. I suggest 5k, 5S, 8, 5s, SJC, j.k, j.s, j.h, j.d, orb if you're close to the corner. After orb recovers you should have enough time to air jump again or IAD, or land for mixup (air tech catch, air throw, butterfly if they stay down, etc.) before they recover. Many better options than only being able to fall down from so high in the air and lose any ground you might have had.
  12. Uhm, basically you have to use punch to get it to work. The start-up for slash takes too long. Basically by the time you get that far into the combo you are maybe going to do 1 or 2 extra damage with the slash even if it works. I don't know right now as I'm on vacation and no where near a PS2. Basically this combo isn't really worth it so much anymore. You can get some form of knockdown on every character that doesn't even involve the need for a jump install, and normally do anywhere from 10-20 less damage. Trading that amount of damage for the knockdown and butterfly setup is worth it. Of course, I think you all should just stopping playing AC and play BB. :D Jin is the coolest. Or Rachel.

Ky hasn't been able to play the game yet (Fuck School) but we're going to play it in 2 weeks. Since there is no Anji-like character in this game, I'm playing the KY dude! FUCKIN A!

  17. Also: Bickering about who is the best "Anji" in the nation isn't conducive to the whole "Let's all get better with Anji" environment. Not that it really matters anymore as Anji will forever be shit tier in a game that will never have another sequel.
  18. Ok for those of you who couldn't see this, it was posted on the 8th of February: As much as I wanted to be mod, and change things, life threw me a curve ball. I tried to get something done about it, but nothing was changed. Things were a lot different in my life when it was suggested that I mod. I thought I had a lot of time, but all of a sudden things just went to shit. Sorry to let you guys down or whatever, but I did try to get a new mod in here. At one point and time I did, I think just to hopefully get some validity for my guide. @Dawnbringer: Don't let Kyle get you upset. He's just being an ass, and talking out his ass. Double Butterfly, and 3S cancels are something I don't do even though I learned how to do them. (Err... Well I do practice double butterfly against potemkin, because it's fucking worth it against Pot.) Most of it is shitty Risk/reward. Even after I learned the timing for 3S canceling and a lot of uses for it, I still decided it wasn't worth it. One fuck up on the timing and you can lose control, damage, or get countered for a nice big combo from the opponent. Just isn't worth it for the extra 30 damage or so, or for the ability to pressure more slashes in your block strings. I do use the Faust specific combo though, that shit is good for jump install combos. (After a launch) 5S, JI, 5S, SJC, j.S,j.P,j.S, momentum preserved jump cancel,j.P,j.S,j.HS,j.D,link another j.HS for a knockdown and awesome butterfly setup. Does about 200 damage and looks sweet. Sorry about him... I really don't know what possessed him to come to the thread and talk shit about someone he doesn't know.

  25. Try it. If timed and placed right any drill, especially FB drill wins. Fuujin has like 12 frames of invincibility on startup, and the invincibility is gone before Anji projects forward. Drills are active for lots of frames. I don't remember how many. if you need help in figuring it out, just find Jais. He'll tell you how to do it.
