It definitely seems like Tager can get damage a little more often he did in CS2 and look entertaining while doing it. The lack of good normals and ways to deal with a few characters could still hold him back unless charge sledge helps more than im thinking. I think there will be a few more resets and traps coming off 3C being special cancelable now.

I'm pretty sure most characters don't have real resets like that. Thus far I'm enjoying tager's new combos but still not sure how much he has improved.

I will make it if we know BB running for sure, its sad its been turned into a side tournament game already.

Thing is i would take his CT damage back any day of the week with no other changes. People were terrified to get hit by spark bolt because it meant half your health nearly every time. Thats not the case these days, my only requests are increased damage and just give sledge super armor to absorb one hit. I don't think either are overboard and would help him greatly outside of maybe the Lambda matchup.

They often change things on tager just to say they changed him. Simply put, if they continue to increase his combo rate and damage he will be considerably better even without any other changes.

I feel like 360b alone netted you more than 15 heat but I was only going by the eye test so im sure you are right in this case.

360b has always been great for heat gain but I still try to avoid the 50/50 that is Gf unless im gonna use a rapid off of it for some set up.

Need to see if 2b after 360 works on everyone because that would put gf use from about 10 percent to around 0 unless you wanted magnetism that bad.

You can 5c,6a,ac rachel after a 360a without magnetism now.

Yeah still shouldn't be like that as a grappler the foward throw in the corner is entertaining though you can combo anything off it for 3200 damage or so if you have magnetism.

I use more rapids off that 2c 3c gatling either for the easy guard break 360or to set up a 2b whiff for throw set up. Occasionally the 2b connects but then you have frame advantage.

You can combo the foward throw into virtually anything if you do it in the corner its not bad in thos instances if you can bring them back to the corner for a reset of some sort.

I was playing around today and i found a little 720 set up off of a 4d whiff that has worked well due to it looking like a mistake. 2b,5b,5c,4d (whiff) 720 or 360 or whatever else you prefer. The 5c always pushes them far enough away for the 4d whiff.

You know as tager gets worse you are bound to see even less play him over in japan just due to the fact they rarely specialize in bad characters. Eventually if blazblue sticks around for years the best tagers will probably come from here in America since we more often than not play because we like the character not because of the tier list. Im trying to will myself back into the game after they openly continune to make tager bad. In all honesty i think CT tager was the closest to being right due to his damage and proration not being terrible. If he had the tools he has now with that damage i think he would be a legit tournament character even with the problems of keeping people grounded. 6A hasn't been bad so far and i use 4d almost more than i use 5d anymore the hitbox seems to be longer horizontally on it or its active longer not sure yet.

You can know every gimmick in the book but those fundamentals are what make gimmicks work at high level play or else you'll never get the opportunity to use them. Even then it differs between players, Tager as character actually presents several different play styles but nearly all the great players are heavy in blocking and fundamentals. Some play like Coopa and Jan usually opt out of resets and simply beat you with fundamentals and smarter gameplay and others like Mike Z who has some absurd gimmicks and set ups but still has the yomi to make it all work.

Well like i said we could do the original thread name which was keep the pimp hand strong in the mitten state, represents what state we are from and its easy to do a logo for.

It could be not sure, BB was the first fighting game i picked up competitively so it seems i will probably be a grappling guy for life. Also with that said i need a general conscensus as to whether people would be interested in shirts so we know whether to start working on things or not.

Eh i dislike just about every other character in this game and maybe its because i picked tager but i still to this day have not been able to find an interest in playing any others in BB.

Individualized costs too much money unless you guys wanted to pitch that absurd amount of money in to get it done. I say we can do some type of slogan or if we want a name for the scene you can do that as well and with some input my brother can design a logo along with it. All of this is directly because of everyone here and the work put in to build a scene here from scratch so its gonna hold some meaning to most i think.

For the next MM or major tournament we do around here i think a simple pre-reg page should be used to eliminate 90 percent of the confusion to get things set up. Something as simple as the events calender on google could be done if not a seperate page. I also want to ask all of you within our community if you would be interested in me and my brother making shirts for the michigan fighting game scene. If you guys have some type of slogan or name we can use that with a logo design, something my brother does for a living. I can make a thread or do the vote here on maybe the top five things you guys would want and we could narrow things down from there.
