Troll call, I'm present and busted. See above.
-
I'm not playing CP. Valk got nerfed too heavy, so I quit.
-
I fucking LOVE being old. Usually.

If you are well staffed for qualified and able bodied men, then I'll take a pass, but if you even the slightest bit short handed and need my help, then I'm in it 100 percent. I'm down to be lazy, but I'm also down to help with anything at a moments notice. @Skye: I've got a room but I won't be sure of how much space I've got until a few weeks before FR. If worse comes to worse and you have no where to stay, then just let me know and we'll take care of you.
-
Hey Middy, I'll be glad to Rape on you with Klein in some GG. That would keep your attention, ne? @Uri: Excellent, thanks! I'll check it out very soon, but it sounds like it'll work into my game easily. I'll report my findings shortly.
-
I didn't know Launcher Cancel unscaled damage at all! Derp.
-
@Uri: I agree with most everything you said. My only problem is I can't find a reliable way for Julia to set up King for his 9+MK Rising Knee move, other than off of an EX Lunging Arrow, and then it's not worth using the 2nd meter as far as I can tell. You mind taking a shot to see if you can find something? I had some kinda fucked up dream last night. It was Alladin themed, Milln was the genie, but he just looked like his normal self but talked like Robin Williams, and Star was Iago, Jaffar's bird. We all wanted to go to a tournament in Japan, so Milln turned Star into a gigantic version of Iago and told everyone to climb on his back. No one wanted to fly Star Air to Japan and I remember hearing Robin Williams in my dreams saying "I'm not arguing with you" so everyone got on the bird plane and we flew to Japan.

@Star: It's hard to learn or improve when you are busy telling bitches 'how it is' and stop thinking you can be wrong. I don't know shit about the Liz/Mitsuru match up, but I'm 10-0 in the improvement match-up, and UR doin' it rong. At least in armchair/internet theory. My samurai pride isn't over you talking shit about GG being brain-dead. <3 @uri: It seems to me that Julia's damage is not that great, but her ability to open opponents up is pretty solid. High execution, stacks of options. Do you think that is accurate?

I've been playing Julia and King forever, but I've been playing Cody quite a bit recently.
-
I will be bringing a setup, possibly 2 that I plan to use to support side events. GGXX and BlazBlue. Reptar is running BB side, and I assume Heidern will be doing GGXX? Looking forward to my Final Round vacation like nothing else!

Public happy day late birthday to Naimat. He shouldn't be awake yet anyway since it was his 21st. My apologies to Eshi, Zom, Skeletal, and Reptar for being unable to come play games and hang out with you all. I just registered for Final Round. I put in on Persona and SFxT. I really considered KoF, but.... that Guilty Gear. I was at a petrol station this week, and the mid 20's white girl on the other register says to the late 30's black woman ringing me up, "Hey Nekah" and then I didn't listen past that. I was amused and surprised. I was even more surprised that she was fine with this Scene Emo Goth girl calling her nekah. Then I looked at her name tag. Nekah. Mind blown. Black parents in the early 70's successfully trolled everyone their daughter ever meets. Bravo.

When I eat a 20f type move, it's usually one of a few common reasons for me. Either I was aiming for a few specific frames to attempt something to bust their move, or I was sleeping (usually thinking of my offense and not my opponents). In games where I don't know a punish or I'm not trying one, I'll block 18f overheads 95+ percent of the time. As soon as the option for stopping or punishing is in my mind, my block percentage goes down. I assume because the execution of my 'reaction' just got far more specific and difficult. Chandler: I had alot of laughs myself with dat Persona. Again, sorry my stick is missing even the basic buttons to access the text menu. Fashionable. Y-You're Strong! I really did have fun, great set. I will not make the tournament again this weekend. Deepest regrets.

18 frames is entirely reactable, all day.
-
I didn't, I just took it out so it could be my new sig. If that's not kosher, I'll change it. It really made me laugh before I thought about whether I agreed or stood against. I just laughed at anything in GG being called brain-dead or auto-pilot. If you repeat any pattern in that game, I can find a way to bust it and punish you, at least with Ky. Most all of it can can punish with Instant Block and 2P. It's not overly-advantageous. The first example (Sweep>Roll>Throw Disk) is already easily stopped by IB 5P and that just hits her out of the roll. Assuming you stay in pressure, unless it's a Force Break Disk, then I'm going get free Counter Hit most anything if that string is used in even a slightly flagrantly. There are also some advanced guarding tricks that nullifies a large portion of her low, instant overhead, overhead on wake-up shit. It totally stops basic wakeup if FB Blue Disk isn't on you, and covers most all else even when it is. Long story short, unless meter is involved, she get's nothing in terms of continued mix-up that is safe. The best stuff is close to safe, but most of the 'basic' shit is easily beatable. If the game isn't for you, that's fine, but to relegate it to brain dead is ignorant. There is nothing in that game that there isn't a way to beat. Even the unblockables and have to be timed to a single frame to make them be single frame unblocks, and most players miss it by a least a frame or two, which opens up multiple and much more possible ways to escape. <3 the fuck out of this.

BWA HAA HAA HAA!!!!

I would enter Persona, if I could attend. Faak, I wanna throw a chair at something now.

Volpe: Bad luck mate. Glad you are unharmed. Career: I didn't get one. I dropped out of college. I realized that life was what happened while you made other plans, and life would constantly change your plans. THB my first love taught me that. She ending up being genius bitch, but the genius stuck. I always focused on being instantly accepting and flexible to those changes. I think it all comes down to finding a career that constantly changes. If your job gets stagnant and there is no room to challenge yourself daily, then it will end up being hated by every fiber of your being. Anyone reading this on a fighting game forum can relate to the feeling when you've played under a certain set of rules, a certain game engine for so long that nothing interesting happens anymore. Just don't let that end up being your career, and you'll probably be fine. Also, don't get her pregnant. That is the other half of that equation.

Star: Please do karate chop me. I'll try to slash back that shit too. I'll probably miss and eat the chop, you'd better turn it into 9K. Eshi: Yeah I agree SFxT is quite fun now! How's that Axl coming? I, as expected, have no idea if I'll be able to attend anything before Final Round. This season is my my gym what Black Friday is to retail, except I get paid better, but I do get punched in the face on the regular. This weekend is very unlikely because I'm the only employee in town. Edit: Will someone make me a new Avatar? Something with Ky and a trollface, maybe?
-
I'm gonna play SFxT now. Real talk, no trolling. Uri: Enjoy WB. You are going for the specific purpose of killing shit in your main game. I think you should go for that reason, because you'll be able to enjoy the social aspect party down shit that is Final Round in a few years time when you are in charge of you own destiny, so to speak. Go win that shit, both choose and make the best of of the limited events you can attend at the moment. I'll SlashBack a burst for you, and tell them Lil' D made me do it.
-
I'll be driving to Final Round as well. I can take a few with. It's a smoking car, and possibly a drinking car, so keep that in mind. I'll be leaving from Columbia, so you'll have to find your way to me. I do not require a gas split, but if you can pitch in, then that's cool. I don't mind traveling alone, but I'll be glad to provide a seat for others. Basically, don't feel obligated to ride with me but don't be shy if space is running short. I'm willing to go out of my way to pick someone up if that's the only option available.
-
I will not be able to attend KiT. Don't let Phil get a new TV. I would have played Persona... boo.
-
I'm damn certainly going to Death and Rebirth. The timing is perfect. I'll be going up early, Thursday, maybe Wednesday.
-
Hey gais. Busy year so far. I've gotta face the hard truth that I won't get to travel very much over the next number of months. Final Round and PowerUp are high priority for me, so I'm not sure which local events I'll make over the next few months. The way both of my jobs are going, they lead to last minute hours that I'll be picking up in favor of hitting all the events. Good shit to everyone in Guilty Gear last Saturday. Everyone is getting so strong, no one is free anymore. Special thanks to Eshi and Skeletal Minion for coming out, Pabster for taking a game off me and making it look easy, and Zega, Luker, and the rest of the AL crew for getting much stronger every time I see you guys. And Naimat for doing some really sick Johnny shit.

Maybe, but the good news is that FD dashing is entirely unimportant. FD braking however....

In alot of the shit I remember as a kid, the deformed hand was always an ancient artifact of immense power. You never knew what exactly it did, you knew is was OP. You've got a current gen model and we know it 720's shit back in time. Karma win. I need to click music links....
