  1. It was mentioned that Terra was on Chaos' Side prior to the first Dissidia if you recall (this is a nod to the Hypno Crown Kefka put on her in FF6). In FFX, Tidus wasn't concerned for Yuna so much as he was trying to find a way back home (he could care less about his dad)...he didn't find out the truth until near the end (about the Final Aeon and how Jecht became it for Braska, Yuna's Father). So far, here's the representation as I see it. FF1: Warrior Light/Garland/Desperado Chaos/Temple of Chaos Stage/World of FF1 FF2: Firioniel/Emperor/Pandemoneum Stage FF3: Onion Knight/Cloud of Darkness/World of Darkness Stage/Crystal Tower Stage FF4: Cecil Harvey/Kain Highwind/Golbez Harvey/Moon Surface Stage/Moon Core Stage FF5: Bartz Klauser/Gilgamesh/Exdeath/Dimensional Rift Castle Stage FF6: Terra Branford/Kefka Palazzo/Kefka's Tower Stage/Doomtrain Stage/Castle Figaro Stage??? (Seen in Trailers) FF7: Cloud Strife/Tifa Lockheart/Aerith Gainsborough (DLC)/Sephiroth/Planet's Core Stage FF8: Squall Leonhart/Laguna Loire/Ultimecia/Ultimecia's Castle Stage FF9: Zidane Tribal/Kuja/Crystal World Stage/Tantalus Airship Faux Battle Stage FF10: Tidus/Yuna/Jecht/Jecht's World Inside Sin Stage FF11: Shantotto/Prische/??? FF12: Vaan/Gabranth/Bahamut Airship Stage FF13: Lightning/??? (Blank Slot)/Orphan's Cradle Stage Other: Cosmos' Throne Stage/Chaos' Throne Stage That's all I've seen for now. I hope they've done much more since the demo.
  2. Okay guys, got some good news for you, I've been using an OCR Program to produce some raw JP Text of the GG2 Overture Material Collection Stories! For those of you who wanna take a crack at translating, you can find them all here: http://www.gearproject.onehitcombo.net/Guilty_Gear/Overture_Material_Story_Scans/ Just keep in mind that because text documents can't exactly display Furigana, I've set text up a certain way. So for example, if you come across something like this: In the text document it'll show up like this: [生体兵器](GEAR) Translated it means "Biological Weapons" but it simply refers to Gears. There are a lot of text with double meanings in these raws, and while I do want to get to translating them eventually, I'm still working on Night of Knives (I'll be putting the rest of the raws up within the next day or so). Happy Babelfishing!
  3. Final Trailer is up: http://web.square-enix.co.jp/dissidia_012/ JP Release Date: 3/3/2011 US Release Date: 3/22/2011 EU Release Date: ???? DLC Releases: ????
  4. I just wanna put in my two cents...while combos are important, I think guardstrings and mentioning how to get past holes in guardstrings in various situations is just as important, along with improving defense. It doesn't matter what combos I know, if I can't land a hit because I'm too busy being scared in the corner and blocking, or getting hit by throws or mixups or getting punished for teching or bursting, no amount of combo knowledge will help me. Likewise, knowing what's safe, unsafe, how to bait safely, how to guardstring safely, all that stuff to me is very important. I think I've learned alot more about fighting games in general just by realizing how important all this stuff is to learn, and it's a lot harder to learn than just combos.
  5. Forbidden Beasts (Kinjuu) have thus far been known to be creatures "derived" from Gear constructs created by the Postwar Administration Bureau (most likely due to failed Gear conversion experiments, such as Testament who after conversion defected to Justice). It has yet to be explained how they were constructed, only that they are derivatives. Thus, they are quasi-Gear in form, or something of an off-shoot, but as they are creatures defined as natural enemies to Gears it's more accurate to say they are likened to "Gear Predators". There is no mention of Command Type Gears ever being able to command or influence a forbidden beast, so therefore they are different in composition to Gears, still it's worth noting their development and origins from Gears. Gig is a Gear, however Inus was defined as "King of the Underworld" prior to his death and Raymond's merging with his remains to become Judgment. It was later explained by Izuna in GG2 that places like the Underworld act as parts and "layers" of the Backyard. And by definition, those beings that live within the various levels connected to the Backyard or within the Backyard itself that are not artificially constructed are called "Youkai". Demons, monsters, mushi, mutants, ghosts, Guardian Spirits, Deities, whatever you'd like to call them, Inus was classified as one of these beings. However, Youkai and Gears are very similar in construction. Both are infused with magic and animal DNA, and often bear human traits (or in a Gear's case, human DNA). The only difference between Gears and Youkai is that Youkai are beings born within parts of the Backyard, whereas Gears are artificially created to serve humans and function according to a system of commands. Even the level of growth and adaptivity, as well as development of self-awareness between Gears (Gears that are free from Justice's commands) and Youkai is identical. Even more, Youkai can easily be manipulated by a Command Type Gear's song (namely Justice) alongside the Gears themselves, thus establishing a link between Youkai and Gears. To explain further, Raymond's merging with Inus to become Judgment is a process that is actually the "reverse" of the incubation period of Forbidden Beasts. In this case, instead of a gear-like existence being the parasite with a human serving as host....a human acts as a parasite to a gear-like host, thus inheriting its abilities during a near-death state. Both techniques appear to prove fatal, though. I hope that helps your understanding a bit more.
  6. Another GGR Special: This time for the types of Gear Classes: http://darkside-ky.deviantart.com/art/GGR-Special-Gear-Class-Guide-196693612
  7. This just proves that anything popular is usually started by a moron.
  8. All I want is Samurai Spirits V: Special in 1080p :O Ontopic: StriderPLZ
  9. Just wanna say... WISCONSIN PWNS. PACKERS RULE!!
  10. I don't have MVC3 but so long as Strider's not in it, I'm gonna have a hard time caring. AH3 isn't "manly" enough for me. The rest just bug me cuz the sprites feel too small. I may pick up MK9 if it turns out good. Looking forward to Dissidia Duodecim and Versus XIII (might be better than XIII-2. I gotta file my taxes soon. ._.
  11. Yeah um...so long as this is on PC I can't play it. :/ Unless someone wants to upgrade my Graphics Card. :3
  12. Even though this isn't exactly a clear cut question, I can say that I will consider it if I have time. Right now I'm rather busy with other stuff (Night of Knives), and to be honest the GGR Series I've created is much more accurate than the lists I originally gave (which aren't complete in any case).
  13. I've already done summaries for Robo-Ky's story and a small bit of translation for A.B.A.'s but Axl's story has already been fully translated, you can see all this info here: http://www.gearproject.onehitcombo.net/Guilty_Gear/Drama_CDs/Night_of_Knives_Crap.txt (Please ignore my older notes as there are a lot of mistakes).
  14. Noel's White Outfit+Black Hair set matches ones of Mu's colors. Noel's Nu colors were in her CT palette. D: Ganon Typo. I haven't played Zelda in ages....
  15. @PimUigi+magz: I said this a long time ago, ACData.bin is most likely the file that has the Announcer samples, if you know of any sort of binary byte interleave editor that can mess with that format (read: unzip and replace files), then it's possible, otherwise, so far, no means. @UltimaOriginal: Getting stuff to be the exact size doesn't necessarily mean timestamp length, it could also be the kind of compression you're using for the WAVE file. Also, this isn't always a perfect process and in my case it often took me several test runs before I actually got it to work, so don't be afraid to make the ISO a couple times. Just don't burn any CDs until you know it's gonna work for sure. @Teyah: Don't be a dick. :E I've seen ways of editing CSOs on PSPMod forums. CSOs aren't different from ISOs, they just use a different compression method. I could probably edit BlazBlue's tracklisting if I knew the compression, they did it with Dissidia already.

  17. We need this in BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, goddammit!! I would love to record some of those really awesome player habits and nuances of really good players I face and learn as much as I can by studying fighting that first hand in training mode. Edit: Speaking of which, this exists to some extent in Final Fantasy Dissidia's Friend Card Ghost Mode, complete with retaining stats and equips! D:
  18. lol That questionnaire assumes you know enough about the game to theory fight with it. D:
  19. I still think Blackheart was more fun, but whatever...
  20. Man...what I wouldn't give for a Guilty Gear Challenge Mode combo trainer right now.....
  21. Well, if that's the case I'll probably wait on this till Strider hits (hoping beyond hope that he does). I got more important games to worry about this year anyway.
  22. That's not the total roster is it? For sure?
  23. Like I said before, Sol has maybe...3 FRCs and only one of them worth learning to use consistently (Gunflame FRC is easy once you figure it out). Most people get bored with him but, I never do. Order-Sol's not bad either. Also Ky is more about Forcebreaks and CSE FRCs (once you get that down he's cake). I set Extra Mode to "Easy FRC" at 5 so that the character flashes blue for the frames (extra 5 frames but the eye really can't tell the diff) if I wanna learn my FRCs...once I memorize the frame, I shut if off and get the timing down.
  24. Post a final confirmed roster, soon please.
  25. Dumb question here: But was this game leaked? Otherwise how you guys get this stuff? Roster locked in?
