  1. I've always felt at a disadvantage in this fight purely for the fact that any hit she lands leads into massive damage. Sure you can say Haku has X, Y, and Z for this match but they are all defensive options in a game where playing defensively neuters your offensive capabilities. Like most of his other match-ups the amount of work and footsies you have to put in to get a solid opening is far below that of your opponent. This has always felt like one of his uphill battles to me. I would have said this was a 6-4 nine out of ten times.
  2. Honestly, a good Litchi can knock you into the corner off any hit confirm. It's not AS lopsided, but approach this match the same way you do Nu; tough it out and wait for an opening to punish.
  3. There's a myriad of things wrong with that post but the main one is this: Most of this fight should NOT be in the air for Haku. Ara's j.B will ruin your shit and shut down anything you try to pull off except a Hotaru. Spending two stars to MAYBE net a 20% combo as opposed to Ara using j.B to wreck you into a curse, j.C, A/B Bug to C Loop is awful.
  4. That's ultra sexy.
  5. That will work online because, most likely, they will have already input the 4D by time you finish your IB. Offline? Not sure. If she's poking rather than going through a blockstring,(As in she hasn't input the 4D yet) she might be able to recover before you can get close enough. I assume you're going for Kishuu because she's out of Gurren range, right?
  6. If you see people consistently instant blocking like that online, they either have amazing connection compatibility or they're literally psychic. I absolutely despise playing this game online now because a lot of it revolves around reaction speed and timing. Online just fucks up both of those heinously. Especially for Haku, who pretty much needs instant blocking as the foundation of his defense.
  7. Not sure when else you would have time to do all this cutting, assuming he's spacing you and controlling the air until you're cursed. There aren't too many optimal windows to cut any of his bullshit where he can't anticipate or retaliate, honestly. If you have time to cut away at his clouds and avoid parry anim-lock from bugs, I'd rather close distance myself.
  8. If he's doing a j.D to your cloud or bell bug cutting, chances are you don't have a choice whether or not you're going to eat it. Honestly, this match-up recockulous and has been beaten to death strategy-wise. It should probably just be locked until something ground-breaking pops up.
  9. If he anticipates you cutting bell bug or any clouds, you are going to eat that j.D. Or he can just dive cancel to ruin you. Haku doesn't really have many safe options on this fight, period.
  10. Any news on whether you can jump cancel after cutting a projectile?
  11. Every once in awhile. I still visit FTK's channel when I'm online and playing something.

  12. I honestly get excited for the Punch DD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75sS8F66idI Except it's Yukikaze. But I save the replay every time, no matter what.
  13. That video is from the second day of release. Most Haku's are still not much better than that.
  14. Try fighting him as Haku-Men. There is no way on God's, Allah's, Zeus', Odin's, Or Darwin's evolutionary green Earth that that match-up is anything less than 8-2 Arakune.
  15. Ragna has better pressure and mobility than Haku. Plus, cutting clouds is usually a terrible idea. Most of the time Ara can curse you for free if you do. He's just as screwed once he's cursed, but he has many more options to go through before that happens.
  16. Simply put, Arakune has an answer for everything Haku can do to him. Like Ryoko said, the match-up revolves around you getting a very good lucky streak. Even then, a bad C Loop into Recurse can lose you what was once a one-sided match.
  17. Your combos seem fine, but it's very hard to tell in Haku mirrors since people are always trying to predict one another.
  18. Wither away and die.
  19. Speaking from experience, the pad is terrible for this game. It's overly sensitive and doesn't read inputs correctly because of it. That, combined with natural latency issues will screw you over heinously when you need it most.
  20. Because, unless they're in the corner, 214B launches the opponent away from you. Often times too far for 41236C to connect. The exception with this is Tager, Ara and Rachel, though the second hit will whiff most times.
  21. Ara vs. Haku feels much worse than 7-3. I'm willing to say it hasn't changed much since the first tier list and Haks is still floating around 8-2 in that match-up. Never really felt like Haku vs Tager was in Haku's favor at all, so that's accurate to me. However, I didn't expect the drops against Litchi. That match-up has always felt pretty close to me. I'm no pro, just my personal observations.
  22. The fight's terrible regardless, but when I actually take a trip to the Metreon, it's much more tolerable. Online? Fuck this match. Even a green connection in this match-up makes me want to break my stick.
  23. You can, the problem is her lows are either very quick, making them hard to react to, or have a delayed hit making you whiff you counter if you react too quickly. Plus, I think her 2A gives her +3F on block or something ridiculous.
  24. It's funny because this is one of the few match-ups with Haku where the corner is most definitely not your happy place. Also, what's the best way to punish Litchi after she uses her DP but are spaced a bit? Say right between where her staff will land and her position from execution. I really only ask this because nine out of ten times, this is the exact spot I find myself in after blocking a DP from her(Non IB) I've only found a TK 214C has the reach and speed, but I'm really looking for an approach that will net me some decent damage rather than flooring her and giving her wake-up options. So far it seems against Haku, from that range, she's relatively safe to whiff.
  25. Seems like he has too many options versus Haku once he gets a knockdown. Especially since Haku doesn't have a reliable wake-up move. I really don't like guessing if he's going to command throw or 5C/2A every time I'm down. Seems I lose a good chunk of health every time I get grounded. Other than that, I thinking I just have to fine tune my other short-comings in this match.
