  1. What option select are you referring to ? I heard about it in some vids, asked a question about it and nobody gave a definite answer afaik. i guess it's something like 214214B on their wakeup ? so if they forward roll out of the corner a houtenjin comes out, if they don't, you get a standing B ? I heard mention of a crouching A, houtenjin option select, but I don't really get how that would work exactly (2A14214B ?)
  2. It's not that hard. Hit A the moment the 6D hits.
  3. I heared an option select being mentioned in a video online, where if an opponent lies in the corner and techs forward, you hit him with a houtenjin. Does anyone know if it's true and what exactly this option select is ?
  4. Some people I know play that OTHER fighting game on 360 with the analog stick. If I was stuck on playing on 360, I would definately consider the investment in an arcade stick or a decent pad though. (I play on PS3 with an arcade stick in case you are wondering)
  5. Thanks for your answer (and Arifureta's). Well as far as i know you can only start the multiple challenge missions over from the beginning . I noticed all 1 - 5 are multiple challenge missions, all 6 - 10 are single challenge missions. Mission 1 is always just executing specials, Mission 2 is distortion drives and astral. I managed to do mission 6 now btw. My little trick is to wait for hazama to finish talking after the 214D~C then immediately tapping dash, neutral, C. I don't know if it's actually a valid trick but that kinda works for getting my timing right. I'm much better in doing it from the right side of the screen, than the left. So currently I have missions 1 - 8 finished for Hazama.
  6. Sorry if this is a noob question, but I seem to have trouble connecting 5C after dashing in in for example this combo: 5B > 3C > 214D~C > (Dash) 5C > 2C > 4D~A > 4D~D > j.214B# I can do it fine without the dash, so was also wondering a bit why the dash is there (character specific or situational if only the tip of 214D~C hits ?). Some people substitute 5C for 5B, what's the exact reason for this ? Challenge 6 is the combo I'm trying to do. Whenever I try it, either Bang techs before the 5C connects or I get 6C. Anyone have any tips on when to start the dash or is there some special trick to it ? Is is because of spacing when you do 214D~C ? I can sometimes get it to connect but nowhere near consistent. I must say I don't have the best execution skills in the world
  7. The alternative opening to BB:CS console version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMSKNDvbg04
  8. I played it on genesis (or well .. since i'm from Europe: megadrive). I liked it. It was hard though if I remember correctly. No continues ? or atleast you couldn't continue during the final boss fight, who has 3 or 4 different forms. Learning how to fight against him was difficult with no continues. Maybe pressing start on a second controller would have worked, I dunno. My favourite characters were Xavier, cyborg kickboxer guy, Trident and that green big guy.
  9. The run button was only in MK3, in MK1 and MK2 you could not run if I recall correctly. The block button is in all of them though.
  10. I'll be there too, just like last year. Alllll the way from Belgium I really enjoyed myself last time. I just hope I can get enough practice in for BB:CS, so I can do a little bit better than last year
  11. It depends: on some PCs it does work, on some PCs it doesn't, on some others you may have to install some driver someone wrote in their spare time (this driver only works for 64bit systems if i recall correctly). I have one, and it doesn't work on my PC. However, I have heard of people where it did work. I think it's dependant on hardware in your PC.
  12. Not full results but better something, than nothing: GUILTY GEAR XX ACCENT CORE +: 1st - Team Baikou/Aerisu/Nuaj (fr) 2nd - VicTeam: Camo/Millia/Mitsu (fr) BLAZBLUE CT: 1st - Zero No Shana (fr) 2nd - 4K (ch) original source: http://www.worldgamecup.com/index.php?article=0&sid=b260b3106e6a2a91332890eef350cfd7
  13. Not sure yet if I'll keep maining Rachel. I think I will though. But yeah we'll probably run into each other at the event itself.
  14. I lend my stick out to other people sometimes, but I always keep an eye on it. I haven't really seen anything stolen, but I only went to one really big tournament (SvB last year), the others were much smaller (20 to 40 people). Anyways, if you are going to SvB, I'm going too, so we can meet up if you want. I also play Rachel btw. Last year I think only 2 Rachel players were there (me included), so I welcome any new ones =). Don't worry about not knowing anyone in real life before going. Last time, I went all by myself all the way from Belgium and I met up with some great people from UK, France and Greece. You'll get to know new people pretty easily (if you don't act like a prick ).
  15. I bought it. Just hoping that if sales for this are good, maybe, just maybe they'll release accent core ? :p
  16. Thanks for the tips for Prod1gy. Watching that match he posted feels like looking at one of my own matches. I play almost exactly like him, so I can also use every tip you give him
