  1. Getting out a meaty d bug, helps tons with the unblockable. Also when curse ends on block.
  2. He's still fun, and unblockable recurse is way easier now. His jumps feel more fluid now, so I'm just wondering about the jump start up.

  4. J.c FC > j.d > 6d does not work iirc, just do a normal combo. I'll be in the lab Thursday to test some shit out, maybe record some setups. I noticed that jp Arakune players like to run corner carry on 1.1, so we'll see. I think corner carry to unblockable is pretty optimal. Or corner carry to unblockable recurse depending on meter available.

After watching it myself I noticed those exact things as well. 5b > 2c works at damn near max range so I just had it in my muscle memory, there were times I felt like I'd have been better off going the 6b route, but I do actually prefer the mid range game vs Azrael. It's either that, which allows me to either pursue with pseudo oki or set up a safe zoning game with cloud. If I end with j.d and it doesn't activate curse, then I leave Azrael teching in the air, which is opening a can of gimmicks. If I end with j.d > j.6c > dj.6c > spin, I'm too close and have to commit to the pseudo oki and Azrael has too many quality defensive options for that dice roll to be completely reliable. The f.g thing, yeah, I wasn't even thinking about that at the time, the other grind sessions (which were unfortunately unrecorded) I used it a lot more though. As well as 5a > 6b combos, including the 100% curse corner combo. I even managed to use the center screen to corner 5a > 6b combo, felt good. I also came up with some Growler specific curse oki set ups. I'll list them once I can get on a computer and not on tapatalk. Also, 3 Arakune's going to EVO (myself included)? Fucking sweet. We're gonna have so many conversations about shit like a couple of jail bait girls having a slumber party. Can't wait.

  20. I rightly don't know myself, all I know that you input the iad much slower than you normally would with any other character. Welcome to the hive, if you can, please upload some videos so we can give proper critique!.
  21. Also with CSII and CSE, new characters were announced for each version, CPII-er... 1.1 doesn't have that perk. In that respect, this is the first real rebalance we ever got.

  23. I haven't found a way, but I do it anyway because dp is good only option, I'd follow up with a j.4b once his invul ends and force him to block my stuff.
  24. Welcome to the hive! The ways to open up the opponent varies on the combo ender that achieved curse. Usually, you want to be buffering b and d bugs and go for a mix up. Midscreen combos that end in 6a can take advantage of the fake cross up 214b. Or even the real cross up 214a, or a late j.c. Corner set ups are the easiest, if you buffer 6b and 6d bugs you can go for basically anything. 4b and j.c are easy ones. Try those out. It'll also help to watch a few videos. Let me know if you have any roadblocks.
