I need to study Kumi. I've studied Rion and his stuff is great, but I need to open people up. Hyde's greatest weakness is a patient opponent, so I need to learn to contract my pressure into short bursts with intent to get a hit.

No one listened when I said I use it mainly for punishes...

No more editing posts? Shit, time for a double post. Can't find j.6b in the frame viewer but i'm fairly certain he has no hurtbox on his legs, I've gone over some questionable lows with it. I had a nice 22a starter combo that I forgot that I hope i'll remember to drop off later, it's a pretty common starter suprisingly. I think I also had a 5bb > 22a combo, not sure. Whatever.
-
Does Hyde have a 3k combo midscreen off of 6b? I'm legit asking.
-
Pfft 5b > 2c > 5[c] > j.[c] > 3b > 2c > 236b~236a > dash c > b rekka A bit more than 3k. Easier to execute. I like to use it for punishes.

Everyone is on Twitter or Skype. After Skype became a thing, this thread became a novelty. You GG boys will find a few dedicated players. Chrono (@ChronoReyer) and Del (@DelrianTheFree) are your best bets, Del exclusively plays GG, and Chrono loves to play. Lumin (@Luminerica) plays as well, 50 (@JuanitozWay) plays and he in particular is hype for Xrd. If either of you guys have a Twitter, hit any of these guys up, your chances are better there than here lol. Any of these gentlemen can also invite you to the MI Skype group. Idk about any offline competition in Lansing, but there are bi weekly ranbats in A2.

How much damage does it do?

She also can't charge inputs if she's charging grd.

Neutral is the ability to control the stage with movement and attacks, the ability to approach or retreat using your tools vs your opponent's. That said you just have to pick your moments, stay out of Kuuga range if at all possible. Don't be a sitting duck. It just takes patience, this isn't an air dasher, so sometimes you need to incorporate some old fashioned SF esque neutral. Use fireballs with purpose, don't let her in, keep your distance, wait for your time.

I do believe that his challenge 30 is impossible. That is all.

Her dp isn't that good, you can cross it up with dash c. You can jump over it even in the corner and it trades with j.236x at times. I think that if you're aware of her options and respect it when and where you can, be patient, then Hyde can seize the advantage. Her reversal options don't scare me to the point where I don't feel like I can run oki. I know the game is still new and we have plenty of time to learn MUs, but MI had the pleasure of having 4 Linne players. I grind this MU without even trying to.
-
I would think it's more like 2c > 5d > 236b > 6b > j.6a > dj.c > j.2a > DC 6d > delay j.d. It sounds possible, but we lose oki. Just wait til the next test, none of these changes are final.

Explanation time! Sorry I took so long, I rarely on an actual computer, and doing this stuff on the phone is dreary. Vs Linne 5/5 even Linne wins in neutral, Hyde wins at oki. Her crouching hurtbox makes approaching her difficult from the air and her crouch normals makes it hard to approach from the ground. Kuuga > Orbiter. Shadow Scare <= Kuuga. Dark Lotus is amazing this this MU. Vs Orie 5.5/4.5 - slight advantage Orie not having a DP makes this fun for Hyde. Their oki is about even. Orie's AA game is the reason this isn't 6/4 Hyde. Vs Carmine 5/5 - even Statement redacted, this MU feels more in Carmine's favor so moreso 4.5/5.5 Slight Disadvantage. His neutral, pressure and oki is all insane. Don't let him get in his zone. Oh God please don't let him. His defense is shit so once Hyde starts his turn, it's hard to end it. Vs Hilda 4.5/5.5 - slight disadvantage Her zoning is good, Hyde loses the fireball game outright, keep her close, mid range, 22a works wonders to help you get in. Be patient, inch your way in and wreck her shit in. Once you're in, you should stay in, but Hilda is great at keeping you out. Vs Merkava 4/6 - disadvantage This might be Hyde's worst MU imo, the neutral game is one big rock paper scissor kamehameha bout, except Hyde doesn't have the fourth option. He has an answer to almost everything Merk does, but Merkava has options to keep Hyde guessing. Merkava can play like a minimalist. His backdash and abare is good, so running oki is hard midscreen. Vs Seth 5/5 - even I can't stand Seth's design, here is a game that advertises ground neutral and combat and here's Seth practically flying without risk. His set play and neutral is pretty powerful, but he is paper. Vs Akatsuki 6/4 - advantage They're about even in the fireball game. But Akatsuki has no movement, Hyde can stay away from him and get in when he wants. Akatsuki needs godlike neutral to stand a chance, otherwise, it's fucked. I agree with FistMaster on the Vatista and Gordeau MUs, especially Vatista, fuck that hoe.

When updating the wiki, the staff decided to Americanize the starter notations so they sound more uniform. The official is actually F, for "Fast", we call it S for "Short".

I guess that feel way back in CT where each character felt strong in their own little way was lost in the efforts to achieve balance. I remember that feel.

You have to know when it will CH, because the normal hit confirm is completely different. I just dp.

Arakune Critique Thread - Help out fellow Arakunes!
Skye replied to SecretAgentN3al's topic in Arakune
I scanned through the first 20 minutes, if there is a specific spot where you want feedback let me know. Bug control is a must, get used to putting certain bugs in certain spots, don't flail and waste precious curse meter, if they jump then just keep the pressure and wait for them to land. Properly timed bugs will eliminate up back almost completely. Plus if you know they're planning to chicken block, then a 2b, 2c, 4b starter is free. 6c is terrible for anything but combos, don't use it as mix up. Your overhead starter should be j.c or 6a in a pinch. proper bug control helps here too so you can confirm or OS into pressure if they block it. His j.6x series is good for movement, personally I would only use j.6a for the quick recovery, and only on a full jump/double jump situation, but you seem to use it a lot and get hit for it. You have a handle on his movement and that's really good, but practice low air dashes, it's better for you. Use 2b meaty in the corner for pre-curse oki, they should never roll behind you, if you tap 2b5b, that's an OS, if they roll, you catch them with the 2b, and the 5b will combo allowing for a 100% curse combo, if they neutral tech, you just whiff the 2b and can recover in time to pressure them. It's a seriously good tool. If you curse them with a Short starter, then just run oki, don't try to flesh damage out of it unless it's for the kill. running oki and getting in with mix up is far more rewarding, because best case scenario you can net 5-6, and still have some bugs left over for an unblockable into recurse. Don't be afraid to AA Azrael. Utilize your meter and OD better, if you need that curse then go into f.g or OD j.d. You miss a lot of clutch situations to turn the tables with that. -
Some of you guys need to chill. Seriously.

2d 1 hit was a change they messed with during loctests for cp 1.0 as well.

Arakune Critique Thread - Help out fellow Arakunes!

I guess I'll watch and give tips later tonight though. -
I want to see sledge feint.
-
Let's not forget Arakune's OD applying curse automatically.

Eh, I'm at a point where I don't really care how good it is or can be. People are going to complain about him regardless of how good or bad of a character he is. I won't complain that they gave my character something really good, it's still an expendable resource, if this change stays, then it could be literally the one change he's ever gotten since f.g tracking the opponent that helps him in bad MUs, which just keeps stacking up. Between Hakumen turning up for free 5k+, ValkenhaynBlocker.com, Litchi being herself, Azrael sneezing having a hitbox and taking all your life, three god damn murakumos and Kokonoe's mere existence, I kinda don't care. Ridiculousness just seems to be the direction this game is going. So OD curse is cool.
